Since when can you run behind a tree to dodge a magic spell. And the majority of the pkers stand next to the mage why would they stand anywhere else. And by the time you reach the mage the players can hit you.

How much money did you start with? Its a pretty great time to quit anyway, because of bf3, mw3, saints row 3, skyrim, hitman. etc Just take a pick of a game that takes your fancy and yeah :D Youll never think back to rs battlefield 3 is what I'm going to quit for.

So basically jagex took the domain name apparently not realizing the company can just change their domain name and keep going.

I wonder if they actually do realize it and won't admit to it but actually don't realize that there is a dungeoneering bot. Their denial of it really just throws me off when it comes to believing what jagex says.

Don't you watch south park? He obviously does it the same way cartman does when he plays WoW.

i don't think it's the actual update itself that's killing people. I think it's just the final straw for some people. Runescape is slowly dying the question is when. And you can't really deny that anymore.

Well I have a few bucks to spend so maybe I'll just save up some effigys after I get my effigy skills up and buy the 10% bonus.

We should get a hard hat, steel toe boots, jeans and an orange vest for construction outfit. But I guess some strange desert outfit works.

So basically you can buy 10% xp boost five weeks out of the year now. Cool.

I've had a full 10 minute conversation IN GAME with a wanna be mod explaining to him how I am not botting. And he was still convinced that I was botting on the basis of him seeing me twice within a two hour period fletching. Even after the conversation. He sure puts a lot of trust in the bot developers to program damn good auto-responders. Luckily he was tricked into entering the dangerous portal at clan wars and left after he died. Don't really feel sorry for him because I was getting tired of talking to him tbh...

This is by far the least complained update of the last century. I wish they'd do this with every mini-game.

Apparently the ghast familiar gives prayer xp for any damage it does. The scrolls also restore 10 prayer points at the cost of 20 special move points. It's like a unicorn for prayer :thumbup:

RWT and botting go hand in hand. Gold farmers bot for the gold then turn around and sell it. You won't get rid of RWT without getting rid of gold farming bots.

I love free trade as much as the next guy but taking it away again (to some extent) would severely limit the ability to sell gold with gold farming bots which are really the biggest concern. Players who just bot 99s with no intention of gold farming aren't nearly as big of a problem and just won't really be stopped with the path jagex is on. Which just happens to be rolling accounts with a 14 day ban because they don't want to kill profits perm banning players. They'll never admit that but it's kind of obvious when the perm ban free players but almost always only temp ban paying players.

I find the goodie bag scam more entertaining. And I'm pretty sure they've put that message in the message of the week along with "there is no way to trim armor" a while ago.

I'm a programmer and know a little java. I'm no expert but i do know what is and isn't possible. Ignoring everything said in the past few pages and focusing on the topic of the thread: The whole system relies on player reports, kids are always going to ask if you're a bot and if you honestly can't take one second to type 'no' then why are you wasting your obviously precious time playing runescape in the first place? I keep my public off. I don't see their stupidity because I'd prefer talking in my clan chat and pm with people that don't annoy me. If you don't like that I don't want to talk to everyone in the game shoot me. And I agreed that it relies on player reports but I'm sure you just skipped over everything I said anyway. Because he has knowledge of java and hacks jagex's system to read their code. Jeez get with the system.

Ok I'll respond just to say. Point out where I ever said jagex has a bot detection system. Just in case you didn't pick up on it, when I put "bot detection system" in quotes I was saying that it sucks/doesn't exist. The game is run by player reports but jagex doesn't only pay attention to how social they are which is what you're implying. Half of what you just said was unrelated to anything I've said and the other half was a mix of insults and incorrect statements. And damn I guess you are a jagex staff member if you know so much about how they can pick up on things and change the code. That or you're talking out of your ass with no knowledge of anything you've just said.

I don't see any more reason to talk to him. He lacks a sense of logic and reason. Therefor I will not continue in this conversation. But with his logic not talking makes me a bot and jagex only pays attention to how much a player talks to judge whether they're a bot or not. Which unless he's a jagex moderator there's no way he knows ANYTHING about their "bot detection system" so anything you're saying about it is irrelevant. And here's a tip: When you reply to someone don't say I'm not even going to read what you said. That makes everything you say completely void in an argument.

All I want is a quest that unlocks a soul alter... And that would probably be the next elf quest.

The current max xp rate of Runecrafting is 63k. So, if they boost it by 5% like they did on Woodcutting and Mining, it will be 66k xp/hr. The max xp rate of Agility is 72k. I wish I was beast enough to hit 63k xp/hour consistently...

Most people who play with public off talk in clan chats. You're just another one of those people who assume everyone hates training skills as much as you do and can't stand doing the same activity over and over again. Basically, you're another one of those annoying people who assume everyone bots skills you hate so you report them when they don't answer you because you have some thought in your head that if you speak to them they must speak back to you for you are the single most important thing to them. It's in my rights to play the game as it was designed to play (even though grinding skills is a horrible design) without being accused of botting. If a skill was designed so that you run from alter to bank and back for hours then I will do that if you don't enjoy it fine but if I do enjoy training skills that doesn't mean I'm botting. Also, back when natures were at their prime they made well over 1m per hour and still new pvm beats that. And you seem to forget that the same thing applies to pvm. Less people doing pvm = higher prices of rewards. How does them lowering because the amount of people doing pvm make any sense at all. Lower supply = higher prices even with a slightly lower demand. I'm just going to assume you never really played back when skilling was the most profitable because if you had you'd know that when all the skills were at their prime the new pvm methods still make the most money and the ways to obtain maximum profit with skilling hasn't changed (in terms of new methods). I can't imagine natures going back to 400+ gp even without bots simply because of the newer, faster ways to train magic. When they were at their highest it was because they were simply the best thing to use for training. If anything they'll maybe hit 250 because of the uninformed people who don't realize alcing is one of the slower methods of training. Mining anything but rune was never a good way to make money ,and still has no reason why it would be, and the profit/hour of mining rune hasn't really changed. TLDR slightly better profit =/= best profit and new ways to make the best money with skills haven't been added. Sure no bots would make skills much better profit/hour but it is in no way incorrect to say that pvm will still beat skilling based on past profit/hour of the best skills with methods that have not changed. Show me a skill that has potential of realistically ever making 2m+ per hour and I'll admit it would beat some pvm. Seriously, no bots would still not make skilling the most profitable. You will still be able to make 2m+/hour easily with pvm and skilling would more than likely max out at 1m/hour. For the sole reason that the only skills that would still be likely to still make good profit are runecrafting and mining. Due to the fact that natures are not the best rune for training and rune ore prices haven't changed drastically they won't ever reach the point that they used to be. Even though as far back as I can remember the highest nature crafting ever was was about 1.4m/hour. Really the only reason I think people still train with alcing is because it's cheap, as soon as natures reach the point that stringing amulets/hunter kits/plank make cost the same they'll stop rising. Also, you're not very bright for taking my bet seriously for this long. Did you really ever think I was serious about betting anything? But of course you would never admit to such stupidity.
