They're offering amnesty to a lot of accounts on the condition that they don't bot again and they're being watched closely now. My guess is the accounts being banned are only gold farming accounts. All they did was send them an email basically saying:

They're still down. A lot of people were hoarding resources commonly gathered by bots.

Indeed. I do wonder, however, whether legal threats will really have any effect on adolescents. I expect they will actually have to make examples of a few people in order for the gravity of the situation to sink in. What is missing in this entire nuking is the “naming and shaming” from days of yore. A lawsuit would allow some real- life names of defendants to be brought to light from the public record. In lieu of that, a list of the rolled-back accounts would be nice. I also wouldn’t mind some in-game public naming & shaming to go along with the rollbacks - something like waves of stench rising from the avatars or perhaps something more tasteful like a mechanical skill. :twisted: People who got this message were not rolled back. And I really think they're doing this so they don't lose a shit ton of members by rolling and/or banning.

Love how you blacked out his name on highscores but left it in the chat box. Not like it matters all you need to do is look up the rank for one of his levels and find his name. My point - why black out his name.

I meant after the bot nuke when (if) bots don't work anymore. They can't bot so why ban someone who will just continue membership. Obviously not banning someone who can just bot again on another account wouldn't make sense. I was just talking about a mass ban on bot nuke day. I just don't see it happening. It is jagex though and they could always pull something like that. And I do hope they ban high ranked botted accounts lol. I could see that happening because it's relatively small scale.

I really just want to no-life castle wars and do penguin points. Sadly I really don't have time this week. I realize slayer will be insanely fast and some monsters will spawn faster but just how crowded do you think tasks will actually be. My guess is insanely crowded and extremely annoying.

I'm still sticking to my opinion that they won't ban any members (if any bots) with this update simply because that was never explicitly stated in the update post. This is probably just a way to get rid of any more bots being created. They don't really need to ban any accounts with this update because the gold farming bots will become useless and never touched again. Why bother spending time to ban millions of accounts that won't be used after bots are gone anyway? Of course there are still the accounts that only botted on some skills but in the end it was really the gold farming bots that were destroying the game. I just don't think they are even going to bother banning accounts if the accounts won't be used anyway. But then again they could actually go ahead and ban all accounts that have been botting (still not sure why they would do a mass ban instead of banning as they caught them). Only time will tell (8 hours and 2 minutes specifically).

So just to be clear it's double points not double xp for penguin hunting. I mean I couldn't save up 50 points and get double xp for all of them. Instead it just makes the maximum points for that day 32 instead of the normal 16. Am I right?

I didn't vote for RS simply because of this: The other marketing is annoying too but that's what really got me. I don't mind advertising but not in the actual game....

It seems a little strange to me that they would make an item to celebrate something they haven't won. 9 A.M. on a Saturday... And I'm going to be at my hunting camp on the 29th. Sounds like it's very unlikely I'll make it to this event. Oh well.

Like jagex will actually perm ban p2p bots anyway. Even if they did it takes a few minutes to make a new account (and btw there's a tutorial bot to make it easier).

I'm pretty sure you could already make the friends chat show up in the actual chatbox before. Now it just sounds like you can't make it not appear in the chatbox.....

I disagree. Jagex did it right because now the prices of the Nature runes will go even more low. So, graahking will not be profiable = bye bots hello bots at abyss. Fixed it. People who bot won't exactly be fans of getting skulled. But yeah, they'll probably do it anyway. I can't imagine them getting angry over losing something they never earned. They already do bot deaths and bloods. Just not as much as natures because of the quest requirements.

Is it worth cannoning crawlers for S U O M I after 200m range because he already has fishing, agility and mining?

I've always been curious how close drumgun would be to completionist cape trimmed if he got 120 dungeoneering. He already has over 7000 castle wars games and other than collecting statue pieces that takes the longest amount of time.

You can't be on that list if you've had membership on that account before. Also, you can put your stats in your signature instead of putting the image in your post every time. It makes things easier.

I'm almost positive S U O M I is already over half way there time wise. It's not impossible at all.
