Is it really worth getting 90 just for extreme defence? I was thinking 88 because I have tons of greenmans ales to boost to 89 for extreme strengths.

Assuming they cost the same(I haven't calced it out yet to find out) which one would you recommend the most to get? I have an unlimited supply of greenmans ale to boost for 89 so I don't need to get all the way to 89. I don't need anyone to find out costs or anything for me but I would like some recommendations from people who have the skills. :) Oh ya I don't pvp.

I agree jagex does not like merching clans, they've already said that, I'm sure they'll eventually find a way to stop them then most items will crash. But there will still be solo merchers so you never know they could just not crash.

Pray range. Keep HP around 40, unless you are paying 100% attention. I believe their max is 11, so if you want to live dangerous, you can try lower. Piety+ range pray. Pony, super set or two, emergency food or two until you get more comfortable. OC, don't pray anything until low HP. Don't wear a ROL. Make sure you have 6 min gravestone, and either ferocious ring, the fairy ring into dungeon, or else games necklaces to get back. Sounds good thanks got the dharok not sure how long my grave is though but I do have 4 ferocious rings and the teleport should be more than fast enough to get to the waterfiends. I have the fairy ring also but the ferocious ring would be faster. Do I really need to pray piety? I like staying on curses because I'm too lazy to go change back to them later.

I have waterfiends as my slayer task and want to try something new and fun rather then the normal kill with z spear. I've heard dharok is actually very fast and effective at waterfiends with 88 summoning but can anyone tell me what an inventory would look like for it and what to pray?

I didn't expect slayer to be #9 I thought it would at least be in the top 5. Also didn't expect firemaking to be 15 lol thought it would be in the 20s and definitely not less than mage. Strength, cooking, fletching was kind of predictable.

I did the entire quest using a terrorbird so yes you can, unless jagex has changed it but I doubt they did.

He probably doesn't have a gree gree or hasn't done monkey madness. O.T. If you see a rev run to the ladder, go down stairs and just log out and world hop. I just had 2 anti poisons in my inventory in case it got lucky and poisoned me <_< and a few baskets of strawberries combined with the enhanced excaliber lasts a long time training agility.

Got those two backwards it should be "gives -3 and -5 weight bonus respectively" Good guide so far, I'll probably end up using it later when I go for 90 agility :thumbup:

How do the other contents of your make your first sentence valid? They don't, your first and last paragraphs were incorrect generalizations. Learn to use logic! There I took the first and last paragraphs out so people like you don't get overwhelmed and confused by more than one paragraph. Seriously though who are you to say that those are incorrect? I'm not saying they are I'm just saying that from almost everyone I've asked why they bought the shield most of them said for the looks. I'm not replying to anymore of your posts because I can see that you won't give up on finding a way to find something wrong with what I said.

That guide was made before the update to banks that allows you to have members items without taking f2p bank space. There is no need to buy doubles to be able to keep members items in your bank anymore, just look at your f2p items thing on your bank screen to see if you have to many or not. Sorry I forgot the name of the guide but I think it might be in the archive of wisdom if you still want to look at it. I think it's called the ultimate f2p banking guide or something like that.

I'm not saying read just the paragraph I'm saying you should read the whole thing instead of the first sentence. Read entire things before you reply to them not just the first sentence. And you replied that a reason is aesthetics, to which I replied, there are other reasons to buy it (like bossing). It's cool how you read just the first sentence of what I said. The entire paragraph was about using it for slayer.

The defense is useful for bossing. His question was why do people use them for slayer.

IMO dfs is very unneeded and unnecessary for slayer tasks, the only way I'd buy one would be after I finish leveling every skill that helps me in combat that requires money to level(prayer, herblore, summoning). Otherwise I don't see the point in buying a highly overpriced shield basically for the looks and the +2 extra strength bonus which is very insignificant compared to the higher accuracy a rune defender gives you. This is similar to the strength ammy vs. glory/fury thing, strength ammy has higher strength bonus than both but does that make it better? No. Then people will say the defense bonuses of the shield are needed. For slayer I have yet to see a task that I actually needed more defence than a rune defender with good armour has.

The guy was doing people a favor by lending them the items out of trust, you took advantage of him being nice and basically scammed the items off of him. Even if you didn't technically scam him you're still a (I'm not allowed to say it on these forums). I agree with bedman, please leave.

Let me get this straight, this guy was doing a favor for people who just wanted to borrow the set for the diary so you came and stole the set and sold it.... People like you ruin this game. :thumbdown:

Where are the ones outside the fight cave? I dont want to do the thing where you get the frie cape, too scared of dying, thanks The fight cave is the place that you get the fire cape in. Your task is the tzharr outside of the fight cave not in the fight cave. The ones in the fight caves don't count.

If you want a decent amount of charms from them don't use sacred clay armour. I did 87-99 defence at armoured zombies and ended with a total of about 1k blues. I did not use sacred clay armour because I think it's a waste to use for melee.

Definitely, the attack bonuses of a rune defender are much better to have than the defence bonuses of an obby shield. Unless you're boss hunting or have very low defence.
