Because they want an easy skillcape/99 or get it over with all skills benefit you in a way, dungeoneering does not at all since a person with 1 dungeon w/ 0 tokens can unlock as many things in RS than someone with 99 dungeon and 0 tokens from spending them all on exp, so I can see what hes trying to say

  6. The first time I'm happy Jagex listened to complaints (was really dissapointed when they took extremes out of PvP even when I did not have them)

I didn't take a pic but the second while I slid down the w/e you call it after leaving party (left solo) all my stats appeared as 99/99 and dungeoneering was 120/120, disappeared instantly after like that half of a second, idk if anyone posted it/seen it but I guess the new max really is 120/120 o.o

  9. Ummm, could you give some of us a rough guide on H&A? It seems that a well organised 5 man prestige 35 team will get great xp, amirite? I know you duo'd, but I saw this screenie of 18k xp at floor 21 was like :o. Play 5:5 Large dungeons with prestige maxed on unexplored dungeons. The deeper the better. And don't die. I personally scored over 19K experience on a single floor (I want to say it was floor 20), and I routinely earn over 10K per dungeon (I normally play with 4 since it's a little difficult to get that many people online for long sessions like this). The best way, honestly, is to get a group of people with at least 15-20 dungeoneering. Have everyone reset, and play through together, one floor at a time. People behind on prestige will catch up fairly quick and you won't be prestige-locked by your level until you're way past level 50, since every dungeon should be giving you 2-3 levels (except the first couple). 2:1 = 5-10 min games 3k exp@floor1 to 13k exp@floor 35 I also know that #2 and #3 on the highscores do 2:1, I would go with that

  12. Has anyone noticed this shield? A friend of mine had it so I looked for it in the KB and apparently its stats are (attack bonus) +55 stab, +72 slash, +84 crush, +44 mage, +60 range That is outrageous. :| edit: a few people I know that are 70+ dung use 2:1, duo at 1 difficulty

  14. Probably not, as Dharok is only a little bit better than waterfiends and I'm pretty sure maul does less damage than Dharok at ~200LP. Again, it really comes down to whether or not the maul is 3 or 4 speed. Maul is most likely 3 speed (considering granite maul is)
  15. [hide] Ah yes you are correct, my mistake. However, the point still holds that the increase in accuracy of the longsword is small compared to the existing accuracy bonus. Say you were to take 10,000 damage at a boss. Using an elysian, this would be cut down to 8250 damage. Using saradomin brews, you would need 55.55 doses to heal this damage, which takes 13.88 inventory spaces. 10,000 damage with divine would be cut down to 7,000 damage, and would consume 150 prayer points. 7000 damage, using saradomin brews would require 47.14 doses, which takes 11.79 spaces. 150 prayer points takes 4.84 doses of prayer potion, which takes 1.21 spaces of inventory. In total Divine would require 13 inventory spaces vs. Elysian's 13.88. So divine takes less space. [/hide]not to mention that divines make it nearly impossible to die if you know what you're doing, only place ely would be > divine is maybe tds and barrows 4= 3.0 seconds 5= 2.4 seconds This is what I got from checking the max hit formulas Rapier= 101 (((125)x1.32)+3)+13) + (143/8)+(143x(((125)x1.32)+3))/64) 181+ 17.875 + 375 = ~574 Longsword= 120 (((125)x1.32)+3)+13) + (162/8)+(162x(((125)x1.32)+3))/64) 181 + 20.25 + 425.25 = ~626 Rapier hits 91.6% of what longsword hits After 3.6k seconds of combat (1 hour of combat) : Rapier = 1.5k hits Longsword = 1.2k hits Every full hour of combat = 300 extra hits with rapier compared to longsword 574x1.5k= 861,000 626x1.2k= 751,200 (751,200/861,000) = Overall Longsword hits 87.24% of what Rapier does, aka 12.76% lower On to accuracy... yes some monsters will have less def so you will barely hit 0s on them, but that just means longsword manages to avoid those 0s more often 0.515x (125x125)= 8046 0.515x (171x125)= 11008 (8046/11008)= 73% of the hits that longsword does not miss, rapier would miss, making it miss 27% more This is just a comparison, it does not mean you are going to miss 27% of the time So in that 1 hour of combat.. Every full hour of combat = 1500x.27 = 405 hits missed with rapier compared to longsword so that means in 1 hour of straight foward combat, rapier will hit ((1.5k-405)x574)= 628,530 in comparison to (1.2kx626)= 751,200 So overall.. (628,530/751,200), Longsword is 9% better than rapier I used the formulas on RS wiki, not 100% reliable but I would say it seems reasonable Note, this is for slash only, you could see how stab works out too, since the gab in attack bonuses isn't as great this is assuming you have the following bonuses alongside your weapons

Duoing with someone lower combat than you should make the monsters easier. it averages your combat levels and spawns monsters accordingly. :thumbup: Except in my case where you have a duo with someone who is 136 and leaves early so you have to solo kill w/ its boosted stats :[, it was the mage that prayed, used all the food and gp available by attempt 3, 5 after that I died before I could reach her (ran out of arrows and they were not near me), another 5 i did 0 damage, so I basically spent 20 mins suiciding on it until it died @redeye, Id understand it if it was 10 kills w/ bandos 12 w/ karils, but when bandos can get up to 6 kills and karils can get up to 23 6 manning, it's not worth it at all.

  19. Actually, what you've shown is Corp might halve Leaf-Bladed Swords and Vesta Long Swords. That says absolutely nothing about others. What about the Hasta? I know no one uses it, but it's a one-handed spear. The word Hasta is latin for Spear. What classifies a weapon as a "spear" and what doesn't? I know there's a 50% damage reduction in place, primarily because Dark Bow special attack damage is halved. But we don't know what it effects, and "non-spears" is most certainly wrong. Doesn't poison work to full effect? Poison is not a spear. I also remember using the Dragon Dagger on the Corp a long time ago to decent effect. It could effect Hastas. It might not. It could affect Rapiers. It could not. It could even be a given list of weapons, in which case, Jagex may or may not have added the new Chaotic Weapons to that list. For all you know, the Chaotic Longsword could do double damage to the Corp... I'd also like to point out I've heard a million forms of this. Some people say it halves range damage. Some people say it halves non-spears. Some people say it halves STABBING non-spears. Some people say it halves Swords and Longswords. Hastas get reduced too, if it literally has the word "spear" in it it doesn't get reduced, or you would be seeing hasta + shield over lbs Poison is not a weapon Hastas get reduced, and surely rapiers will too For all you know Chaotic Longsword may hit 10x higher on all dragons, still doesn't mean its going to happen

Ever seen a whip where it combo's 5 40+ hits in a row? gl eating that out. regular pking != friendly dms where people dont run when they run out of food and for those who bashed the guy saying corp halves non spears: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZcoi9wiSRc I don't think the max you can hit is 22 if there is no reduction, when you can punch 30s in that gear 1:17, one of them hits a 29. They even mention it in chat. If it truly halves damage, that means you hit 58s with Leaf-bladed sword... I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't think I've hit a 58 on Corp even with a Zamorakian Spear. EDIT: Going through the video again, his gear seems as follows: Helm of Neitiznot (+3) Dragon Boots (+4) Berserker Ring (+4 or +8) Amulet of Fury (+8) Fire Cape (+4) Gloves (+12) Dragonfire Shield (+7) Leaf-Bladed Sword (+50) This yields either +96 or +92 strength bonus. Aggressive, Extreme Strength, and Piety yields a max hit of 419 / 408, which would be a 41 or 40. Factoring in Turmoil, the real max hit is probably 42 to 45. Obviously, it wasn't halved, because this is nowhere close to 58. EDIT: my bad, it was a swh, same difference, swh can easilly hit 58s corp halves non spears, end of
