I've been pretty active at barrows during the extra loot week. I haven't been very lucky, until the very end ;) here's my loot pictures. Sorry for no cropping, little lazy :P also they're jpg, because I just got done building my first computer and I only have WinXP on it until I get back to college, and I forgot to have it save as png. I'm finished! It was a lot of fun, took me around 5 hours (with destractions :P). The total cost, with monitor, was about $1300 (waaaayyy more than I planned, but oh well). I'll post the parts I ended up buying tomorrow, I have to go to a nine hour shift of work in 7 hours :( Anyways, here's some pics for now.

I've decided to return for a bit, having not much to do over Christmas break. Still working on all 90+. Since I came back a couple days ago, I've got one agility level. I also did branches of Darkmeyer and ROTM, which got me 91 Mage and two runecrafting levels. I did them for the RC xp and better barrows access, for today's update. I did a couple test runs the other night, and got a Veracs helm. Hoping to get a visage tonight :) I'll post some pictures when I get home.

Sounds like I'm using that then, range isn't a problem at barrows. Thanks again guys :)

Oh wow, that's a big thing. Didn't notice that before! One more unrelated question I just thought of, for the xp lamps from elite diaries, can you boost to get the xp from the lamps? For example, if I had 86 rc, could I boost to 88 to use the 4x40k lamps from varrock elite?

Is there a special spell for polypore? I didn't think there was, but you said "Polypore is probably the most cost effective high damage spell". I assume you mean staff, just want to be sure though! Looking at the descriptions for PPS and staff of light, it seems SoL is still better unless you want to switch books. Is that true? When would you use one over the other? PS, i'll be overloading to cast fire surge.

Is Storm of Armadyl now a 'requirement' for any boss, for example a team wouldn't take you without it? Which staff/spell to use on 4 melee brothers at barrows, or use maul/rapier?

I've always not liked the "I haven't played for x months tell me everything posts", but I need some info. I'll try to ask specific questions though, so just bear with me! Also have some questions about old stuff. First, what's the best way to do barrows now? Is one of those new staves the best, or just rapier or maul, salamander, anything else? All stats are in my sig. I have about 50m net worth right now. Are there any new best ways to train a skill that came up in the last six months? For instance, the flash powder factory for agility/herblore/thieving? Now on to the updates: 1 - Flash powder factory, worth it for the xp and clothes? 2 - Loyalty program, any of the auras actually good? I have JoaT and 1k points... won't be buying any soon but still nice to know 3 - Anything big revealed at runefest? 4 - Dominion Tower - are the gloves worth getting? 5 - ROTM - Are the Akrisae robes good, and how does barrows work with 7 brothers now? Do you have to fight all of them? Are the bane ore items good? I've read Glacors are now the best monster besides nex; the only thing I don't have is a yak, so are they worth it for me? Is Storm of Armadyl good? 6 - Are prayer renewal potions now the best for slayer? I'd imagine super prayers are still best for bossing. 7 - Rewards for Branches of Darkmeyer any good? 8 - Mini game updates - are the new RC/Thieving robes worth getting? Anything else notable from any other minigame? 9 - Same question as above with Temple Trekking and construction outfit, any other good rewards? 10 - Jadinko lair, are the slayer monsters good? Heard it's the best way to fm now, anything else? Phew, I think that's all about the updates. Last question is did the bot nuke actually work? I haven't seen many around, but I've only played for a couple hours. Anyways, thank you in advance for answering any and all of these!

So that is to say that the second link, the Asus 27" for $320, is a good buy? I was just a little worried because a previous poster said you can't get a 27" for that cheap. That's good to know though, I'll most likely go for that one or a similar one then. My current 13" laptop is 1200x800, and when I use my 32" tv it's some weird number like 1360x1020 or something.

Alright, now that Christmas is over, I have $700 more. I'll probably spend about $300 more of my money to total around $1k on this computer. This is my build so far, there's not a DVD drive in there but I'll buy one. That look alright? I'll most likely not buy it from Newegg, but a local computer store that's cheaper. My question now is still about the monitors - someone else previously said you can't get a 25"-27" monitor for around $300, but I found these... are these bad deals or very low quality? Just a reminder - I'll use it for Xbox too, and TV if I can. Just to answer my own question in case anybody else wants to know: Yes you can do challenges on the skills you get from streaks.

You'll get nowhere near the money needed for a 27-32" monitor by selling that TV. Monitors cost 2-4x the price of the same size TV usually (at least on the larger end). I know that, I'm planning on either a 25" or a 27" monitor, and I'll just add the extra money. Can I get a nice one for ~$300? Just to make sure one more time, I'll get the same HD quality on my xbox games and movies on a lcd monitor?

I doubt you'd be able to do as much gaming on linux though. I'm also planning to build a computer, and newegg has a three part video that helps a lot. Search newegg how to build a computer on youtube, there's three videos about 2hrs and 30 minutes total. Gives the basics on picking out parts, and putting it together.

When you're on the specialist strike package, and you have All The Perks added, or just 1/2/3, can you complete challenges for them? The ones that aren't a part of your main three?

Looks like I'll just stick with what I have then, seems like i'd lose too much performance downgrading for not a lot of cash saved.

If I buy anything OEM, are there any extra cords I will need to pick up? Also, is my i5 2500k and GTX 460 overkill, or will I really have to spend this much? Although, I do want this to last a couple years Also looking at the PSU's, the 700W one I have is $69, same price as the 550/650 ones, so I'll probably just keep that

I'll look into downgrading the power supply then; I just didn't want to under estimate and have it not work. I just didn't but the dvd burner and the case in that list, just thought I'd figure that out after everything else. As far as dvd burners go, would just anything work? That case actually looks very nice, I might buy it if I decide to build this.

Alright, thanks. I've gone through and got this... how does it look? I know it's way over what I wanted to spend, but oh well. Is there anything I can downgrade and not take a very big hit in performance? Does the power supply work? Is the Kensington ram a reliable brand? Another big question I have is about the motherboard, I have no idea about them. I just picked one that worked with the i5 from one of the DIY packages. Just to restate my monitor question... I have a 32" hdtv that I'm currently using for my monitor of my laptop when I'm at my dorm. It only goes up to something like 1360x1000 resolution. I bought it last February. What are my options for monitors? Could I just use the tv, and then I can still play xbox and watch tv on it? Should I sell the tv, and buy a 27-32" monitor? If I did that, could I play xbox on it? Should I keep the tv, and still buy a monitor?

I need SATA III and 6.0Gb/s no matter what hard drive I get, right? What about all the other questions?
