19-Jul-2010 - Dungeoneering Update
I finally got around to doing a medium solo dungeon, and wasn't impressed. My sample size is quite small at 1, but I didn't feel like I was getting any additional content in a run, as half the rooms were either empty, or had lvl2 monsters. My internet has been iffy for a while, so first time since the update when I had a steady enough connection to survive a room like the monolith. I'll defenetly be sticking to small dungeons, as they provide less junk rooms to consternate my obsessive compulsiveness. Except for perhaps the higher leveled rooms in my circut, as I need all the tokens I can get, as I am level 53 and am still short 1300 tokens of 10k for my level 25 reward. Also, switched from spear to rapier, in advance of getting any skill levels, as I do enjoy taking out things faster, find spiders easy enough to hit, and have enough bound blood runes for any perceivable warriors I encounter.

Spears don't work with new rings?
Sorry, heard something about it on the chat. Well, I'll pick up a hailstorm dagger should I ever find one, forgot there was a second level of the set.

Waiting on the iffy numbers, and unbroked classes to come in before I invest tokens, yes.

Spears don't work with new rings?
The combo ignores defense, and procs bonus damage like crazy. Downside is low base damage though. If I were in it's level range, I'd certainly go for the set.

One question
I dunno. WoW can make you travel pretty far sometimes and it takes forever, especially on foot. Well, in some of their developer comentary, it wasn't something like the current 20 mile long continents, but more like 200, and they decided it wasn't really that much fun, and cut it down even farther in scale.

One question
Remember the space compression, we certainly aren't seeing housing for tens of thousands of people in each of those cities. We just get shown the interesting stuff. Twenty miles over the fairway is considered a good walking distance for a day it seems, but we probably aren't even seeing these small towns. Draynor village is a large town, Draynor maner looming over it and lands the count would preside over. Port Sarim probably also has shipyards, dry docks, inns, housing all over the place. Taverley is wedged between a wall and a mountain, surely there's at least some space on either side for it. Rimmington... well, it was a small town, it looked like, but then it goes and gets a customs office? So we aren't sure any way how that goes. Things like that abound, and I'd suspect that on the way from Seers' Village to Ardrouge, you'd be staying at an Inn at Hemenster, maybe spending a night in the woods and laying over at a farmhouse as well.

What do you have bound right now?
Katagon spear (p+) Katagon platebody 65 blood runes found so far. Thinking of going 1 handed weapon now that I got the platebody bound. Katagon is the best I can wield, and P+ is the best I can make.

Blizzard to require real names for forums
I'm rather upset at this. I mean, I'm Time Kitten, everyone knows that. Then they'll be all, "Who's this Kate Zuhal*?" And then worse? The other Kate Zuhal* will be there, trolling on the forums, and I'll get no end of grief for that. *Names have been changed ever so slightly to protect the guilty At least with usernames it's harder to have two the same. Blizzard kind of messed that up when it let you post as characters that are named by server rather than global tough already. And of course, previous poster states: by credit card name. Well, the majority of those trolls are using their mom's debit cards for this, aren't they?

Behind the Scenes - July
I doubt that there will be much change to current TT only item's rarity, just filling out the rest of the space on the other drops. I DO hope that in the epic level clues, third age stuff goes from Epicly Rare, to just Very Rary.

Who are the Signature Heroes?
Ozan seems to be in Al'karid Sir Ewain is definitely in the white city. But where is Ariane standing? That tower is deffenetly wizardly, but I don't think it fits with any.

Quiet Before the Swarm 24-Jun-2010 & Free to play quest changes
I gotta say I love the water spells. After using water wave through the staff of light at two paces, who'd ever want to move on to fire spells, though? *twirl* *stab* *splash*

Kalafai, the wailful waif, and her ailing tutorual
Well, a full day calls for a full dinner mamma says. And a full dinner means cake for desert, papa says. Skip to the cake, I say. Well, can't exactly find the cake stall in lumbridge, so make do with what I have. I head into the kitchen at the keep, and ask to the cook "Where do cakes come from?" He seems rather upset, and doesn't even have basic ingredients! Well, first thing is always first it seems, shopping. 1 pot extra fine flour, custom order. 1 bucket fresh milk, straing from Gilly Groats herself. 1 terrorbird egg... wait, what? Those are like big chickens right? So 1 big chicken egg then. So, I get him the ingredients... and guess what, he tries to feed me a can of sardines and push me out the door! Well, I slip into the basement and slip some dishes and silverware into by bag before I go. --- Okay, well, I do have some redberries laying about, so I just need to head to the store and get some pie tins. Discontinued.... Eh? But everyone likes pie! They still have cake tins. Only one cake tin is ever needed even. I'll show them discontinued, dig up my own clay and make some myself. Dig dig... man, dirt is so hard to get out of the ground. Alright, a little water, and off to the kiln. No, that isn't it, that's some slopsided pots. Okay, well, more dirt, more water, some more care in turning... and there, pie dishes! Ah, the smell of burning redberry... and a pie! Now off to enjoy it in piece.

Kalafai, the wailful waif, and her ailing tutorual
My sword... awesome as any is, just wont be enough for this, I've got to find some other way to fight. This magic thing, maybe I can get better on that. The woods, they are lonely, but time to think. Magic, magic, I need to know more. I seek out someone to help, a small town, in the far corner of Argansia, maybe someone there. A yes, a Hag... she looks kind of ill, all green even, but she offers a potion. All the magical knowledge and none of the work. Just have to do some shopping for her. A rat's tail... sounds like I've heard this one before... but just the tail... well, more for my lunch I guess. Kajen style beef, with a side of onion, check. And... what? Eye of newt for desert. Well, easy enough to pick a freshly arrived box from the nearby port town. Well, easy enough except for the mugger in the shop. Barely got out with my life. and couldn't even get the eye for free because of it... ach! he caught up to me outside, and took my rat tail! Well, at least they aren't all locked up in some distant castle of ordeals or something. Well, got the stuff to the hag, now for just a swig of this rat tail potion and.. blegh! aweful. I pretend to swallow, and run outside to spit up. Studying can't be more painful than this. --- Studying is expensive, but oak is not, and I know this place, right in the middle of the park... and well, funds are now avalible. Runes, the currency of the magic arts. I have a small store, but I tried seeing the process through. I gathered warm clothes, and off to the rune essence mine. Those teleports tingle, and I think my clothes might have been sent over a second or two before me, not sure. A few sacks full of those, and a handful of talismans to lead the way and air, mind, water. Good exercise at least, besides the swamp... bad exorcise there. But I gather my gear, give the water staff of my new collection a couple test spins, and think of an excellent place to wash clean with the magical waters. --- Maybe the amulet helps a little, but I quicly learn earth, and soon fire spells. Braving ikky rats, vile bats, and bones galore, I fine more and more statuetes holding gems, til finally I reach an empty room, and a lich arrises to protect his treasure. Now I may be awesome, but I think magic has come forward a few steps since the time of Dagath Nurn... as I roast the dust off his bones with the most basic of spells. Not many scortch marks on the mask either. It totally distracts from my ears even! Totally awsome, and matches my hair. Note... think I found another gray hair. Can't really tell though, looks like all the rest. Aren't I a little young for this?

Balmung and Keris...
Keris is just a weapon we outgrew. It's avalible long before the whip, and good for taking the Kalaphite Queen as a mid level boss now. Took a lvl 70 weapon to top it, but that's to be expected. And I find Balmung a nice change of pace from the whip even at lighthouse daggonoths... it is much more likely to steal a kill from a cannon in one hit.

Actually, ditch made it somewhat easier to RC, as you now had a clear line for when player attacks would start, and could bunch up in groups to rush by.

Wily Cat
So, I'm taking my overgrown hellcat to get some orange spice, figureing it will speed up once it turns wily. Well, seems my mousing count was reset "you've caught 10/25/50".... then, fifteen ticks after the fiftyith mouse was caught... well, I get a message that my cat has grown fat and lazy. Continue on for a bit,and my cat manages to turn wily for a full three minutes, which were spent mousing. Lack of exorcise? uh-uh, no way. Was ratting the whole time, didn't even bother to pick up any spices in that time, since I could only ever need orange ones and those weren't dropping. Really? Really? Why hasn't this bug been fixxed yet? Don't you need a wily cat to do the fight pits?
