Lol, you TWR'ers probably think it's a lame war (and it was) but AL had to drop almost half our pull because they pulled so few... :roll:

Ancient Legion vs. The Eleventh Hour Prewar and Rules After a good deal of drama, Ancient Legion and The Eleventh Hour settled on a war, for Rune HQ rank, with the following rules. The War No pics of starting opts, but the levels were: AL: 27 opts (cut from 51), 110 F2P average TEH: 18 opts, 118 F2P average Ancient Legion was really hoping TEH would pull more, so the war itself would be more rewarding, but as it turned out, the outcome was never in doubt. One person from AL broke bounds, who was immediately kicked, but as it was apparent who would win, AL's victory stood. GF TEH, hope to war you again in a larger war, stay off the flaming next time.

Ancient Legion vs. Killer Instinct Pre-war Alpha Lycan9 of KI came into AL's CC looking for a shortprep war. We agreed on a war to begin in 2 1/2 hours with the following rules. Pre-war (part 2) Being AL's first war of 2010, we were very pumped to do well here. Even though it was a relatively short prep, Ancient Legion got together a very strong pull of 21 people -- one of our best in recent weeks. Unfortunately, we had to drop a bunch of people, since KI only pulled 10, so the real war opts looked like this. Ancient Legion: 36 opts, 106 average Killer Instinct: 30 opts, 111 average The War Starting: Ancient Legion 12 people, Killer Instinct 10 Ending: Ancient Legion 9 people, Killer Instinct 0 Thanks for the war KI, you guys are a classy clan and I'm sure we'll be fighting you again soon.

I can't TS3 to dowload, let alone install, so I guess we'll just have to go with Vent. :) Anyone know what the prices are for hosting/renting a Vent server?

You'd be welcome in AL -- I don't know if you're starting over with a new account -- if you are, you'll probably not be able to war for a while and you'd have to work on training up combat, but you're welcome to join as a Junior Member. You'll be able to participate in contests, attend events, post on the forums, etc, and that should help you get more "into" Runescape and the clan. Lemme know if you have any questions. :)

We don't discriminate by age in AL, but we pride ourselves on the mature element of our community. While we've still got some younger players, we've got a lot of adults in the clan -- two working dads, a bunch of college kids, and our warlord is in the Marines :o. So, I'm looking at investing in a communication server for my clan, Ancient Legion, and as far as I can tell, there are two options: Ventrilo and Teamspeak. Which is better and why? What's the cost differential? Is one program easier to use? What have your experiences been with these programs? Thanks a lot for your advice.

ELS pulled far fewer, so we had to get down to business and drop some people (from 18 down to 13). We don't have pics, but opts stats below for when the war started. Ancient Legion: 13 people, 106 average Everlasting Souls: 8 people, 112 average ELS tried their best, using their level advantage and lack of numbers by employing center tactic and mass sniping, and for a while it looked close as they piled first our two people who were lagging (Hollowman and Jaal), but in the end, AL pulled through to victory and we ended with 6. I saw some of your stuff when you were in MoD, got to say I'm impressed. AL would love to have you, and we do have a pretty strong focus on warring (along with a great community, of course) but most of our wars are USA/GMT time. Sorry for the double post, meant to edit it in above. :) We always have people in the CC who really are, I think, great people. We understand that people have a bunch of real-life committments, so none of our events are mandatory except wars on the weekends (if you're online, you have to make it -- not that no matter what, you have to make it).
