you either risk it in non +1 and loose it long before it degrades, or protect in in +1 and just spec with it. Either way your using it little enough that you should die at some point/loose it before it degrades.

It saves 320 gp per cast with ice barrage minus SoL+robes, and 160 gp with. That's 320k or 160k saved per 1k casts, that's quite a lot. and at most places people will be using it, +10 mage bonus doesnt make much difference over the +15 of a mages book or +20 of an arcane.

As in any time you are hitting less than one in fifty times because you are wearing full rune to barrage with? That is what it takes to make those things better than the Staff of Light... and probably missing even more than that as well. zuriel's is good vs meleers in pvp due to miasmics, void mace is good anytime you need to be on the slandered spell book, although SoL+fire surge is potentially better. turmoil, extremes, cannon all possible tasks, kuradal's dungeon/ring. Its now economical to piety in bandos with SW cape, and with soul split combat familers on all multicb tasks is very easy.

the casual 110+ should have rings of slaying its the next thing you should unlock after slayer helm. And dont add it just because you dont think that that many people have it...thats like saying you arent going to say elysian is good in an armadyl guide because not many people have it. Im missing the top after 1k+ runs so I've pretty much given up. 26 boots, 14 hats, 8 legs.

its hard to tell sense his A log is private, but he could just be sticking with other non-dungeonering goals for the moment, and hoping that faster methods are later released for dungeonering.
