I remember when I said such and such was supposed to be released, but I have forgotten when I made that.

I haven't balanced carracks yet, but I believe it is about the time that two masted cogs and galleys are released. They are roughly 10% stronger or so, and is the same price as the one masted varieties. They can travel farther and faster as well.

I could keep trying to compose film music. Instead of trying to help out in a situation, I could be trying to figure out the perfect theme for a situation.

I think it was a pretty big event in her life. Maybe you do know about it, but the words are just leading you in the wrong direction.

Except the grasslands you planted weren't in my palisades while the wheat was.

Kay. I was actually farming for the looks. Also, it keeps the wild animals from spawning.

Haven & Hearth Thread
Noooooo, not the wheat! Perhaps you should start a farm so you can take lots of seeds and still maintain it? Anyways, going to tame a boar now.
-
Haven & Hearth Thread
I don't really mind a harvester, as long as your farming level is at least twenty. Then please replant the highest quality seed in the space of the old wheat.

Who just harvested all my wheat?

I never penalised them for sleeping. It was a harmless addition. Basically, here's what happens if they aren't sleeping: Europeans huddled in a camp Various Mongolian Scare Tactics Camp bursts into flames Europeans fail to put out the flames and have to leave the camp Mongolians conduct short raid There were probaly a lot of other things you could've been nitpicky about, but sleeping was not one that affected anything. ---- Also, I will be redoing attacks, because I realized I was using outdated figures. It'll be finished in the afternoon, so you can send the updated reports for a plan in the evening.

I experience that glassy eyed thing with well played classical music. Then again, it might be because after listening to baroque music for hundreds of hours in total, you can predict the melody, because lots of the composers reuse melodies.

Some Funny Business The day of a sailor was never completely good. The rocking motion of the boat could cause many to lose their meals, and they were often at sea for days. It certainly could not get any better with the arrival of a huge Cretian transport fleet, with two warships. The Spanish fleet in the area numbered twenty galleys strong, while the Cretians only had two warships. The Spanish commander immediately asked the Cretians to turn back, and the Cretian warships began to turn. Then, when its side was facing the Spanish navy, one of the warships fired. A Spanish galley was struck by odd metal projectiles and began listing starboard. The remaining galleys began sailing towards the Cretian warship, attempting to ram it. The other warship seemed unsure of itself, as if there was an internal problem, and it immediately sailed back to Crete. The functioning fired again and again, but the projectiles were not as accurate as hoped, only sinking three more galleys. The Spanish forces neared the Cretian warship, but the projectile storms only grew more accurate as the distance closed. Finally, only five Spanish galleys reached the warship, beginning their ramming. When the ship barely dented, due to armored plating, the Spanish admiral ordered a boarding. In the fierce melee on the deck of the huge Cretian warship, the projectiles continued to pour into the Spanish galleys. The numerical advantage of the Spanish crew was too great, and the Cretians were almost defeated. In an effort to protect their technological secrets and prevent the Spanish from taking control of the ship, several of the Cretian crewmembers hoisted the ship's anchor and smashed it into the ship. The sound of a whirlwind was heard, as the ship exploded into many little pieces. The transport ships were forced to turn back, as more Spanish ships came into sight. Meanwhile, three Cretian warships were sighted off the coast of De Franco. They began firing metal projectiles at the walls, but they only managed to crack the outside layer, and did little damage. When the Spanish forces began tasking their tower-mounted Catapults to return fire, the Cretian warships withdrew and returned to Crete. More stuff A joint taskforce from Burgundy and France of two thousand swordsmen and five thousand archers marched towards the besieged French castle. More Icelandic troops landed on the coast of France and rode towards the castle. Neither force advanced against the other, and only minor skirmishes occured.

Spanish-Kievan-Bulgarian Invasion of Yellow Mongol Land The objective was clearer than the US premise for invading Iraq: move a huge combined taskforce into Mongolia and conquer the limitless steppes. The forces were eager to take the fight back to the Mongol homeland, and they began to march. After two years of steady movement towards Mongolia, the soldiers finally made it into the vast Mongolian empire, conquering numerous one-family settlements. The invading army made no attempt to be quiet as they marched, making the Mongols know of their presence. On nightfall of the fifth month in Mongolia, the soldiers had built a large camp. They had place night watchmen on the outskirts and hammered stakes into earthen ramps, designed to prevent a Mongolian charge. In the middle of the night, the watchmen spotted fires in the distance. They suddenly grew much larger and spread in a circle around the camp, revealing the Mongolian forces which had surrounded the camp. The soldiers awoke to the sounds of hide drums, before the bombardment began. Rotten corpses and boulders rained from the sky, damaging several tents. Finally, the Mongolians opened a barrage with their gunpowder weapons from a great distance. The noise frightened the coalition's men, but the actual damage was confined to several burning tents. The Shielded Pikemen and Men at Arms took their positions in the fortification, awaiting for the Mongolian onslaught. Suddenly, huge barrels of burning pitch flew into the camp and burst open. The tents aflame and the acrid smoke caused mass confusion. Despite their best efforts, the soldiers could not contain the blaze, forcing the army outside of their fortifications. Ten thousand Mongolian Horse archers rode near the fray and began taking shots at the disoriented Europeans. The nine thousand Kievan mounted crossbowmen, the only unit capable of responding in timely order, quickly rode to engage the horse archers. At first, the Mongols held the upper hand, but as more crossbowmen joined the fray, the Mongolian raiding force was forced to withdraw. However, the European force had suffered more casualties, and had nothing to be proud of. Casualties: 3000 Mongolian Horse Archers 4000 Kievan Horse Crossbows 2000 PAA (Part two coming up)

Ye Olde Hegemony
Okay, this is obviously some sort of issue, so here's what I'm going to do about it. Edel still gets his five thousand knights. These reset every five years, so it's like a limit. He also has some sort of small Swiss guard kinda deal which defends against direct attacks, but it's not that big. Also Ross, the math was a little off. Each knight would cost around two thousand, except in this case, he can't stack them. Secondly, only carefully used Papal power would be effective in controlling the masses. For example, if the Pope excommunicated a ruler, the populace isn't immediately going to rise up against them. However, the nobles might feel that the ruler is in a weak position, and might seek to gain concessions. Also, any Papal decrees made on the thread are basically posturing, when it comes to controlling a country's people. Like always, I will figure out the effects, if they are PMed to me. Obviously, it is still good to read what is written, because it'll give you an idea of what might be to come. In the event of the Papal states being taken, the fleeing pope (or successor of pope) will have to try to regain their position as ruler of Christendom, while the victorious power can install an "Antipope" to replace the old pope. Naturally Papal influence as a whole will decrease, but the influence will then be split between two parties. Questions and concerns are welcome. I will start the battle reports when this is all fine and dandy. If no one really wants it, I can give other options for him.

I don't need any wheat, but I can give you some seeds. Tell ya what. I'll give you two crates of seeds if you provide two crates and you finish up the granary. I finished half the palisade (Icu finished the larger half though, thanks. :D), so I don't really feel like doing another construction project.

Ye Olde Hegemony
You mean a...crusade? Also, it is possible that someone conquers the Papal states and murders all the cardinals and stuff. Then you would have to start up a new Papal structure.
