  1. A swarm of torpedo-plankton (they're a fish like thing that travels fast like a torpedo) speeds through your poison field. They feel injured, but they're too fast for you to stop. +0.3 poison Unfortunately, 40 of your 50 microbes are killed by the leviathan's flailing, though the other 10 gain new insights on fighting the leviathan. +0.2 Combat +1 point
  2. (Whoops, I missed a lot of posts back there) -Agrius The dolphins seem to be attacking a leviathan floating on the surface of the water. Your people are interested in exploring further. +0.2 Intelligence +1 point -Icu Your people feel that they should move the shiny thing to a safer location (it's only two microbes large). They exercise and gain strength, but the lost weight makes it unable for them to mitosize. +0.3 Strength -Microb Bob The walruses say that they worship the Ross, who is god. They begin to explain his qualities, and you find that they share similar beliefs.
  3. -Steve Your microbes tell you that the mass was larger than the horizon and slammed into them in a single second. They don't know what happened. Your microbes are not full enough to undergo mitosis (when you fail, they lose the fat buildup). -Rocco The Microbes successfully hold the shell partially open with the twig. The glistening is even more intense now. +0.7 Strength (Rolled a 20 :))
  4. Interesting. Well I've basically left Hegemony by now, so I give my empire to Sere/Dusty. There are still 200 billion on Capiah, I think most of the people on Erikio (no sustinance for them though), and several trillion eggs that can be turned into battle ready soldiers at a secret location. Also, there are 100,000 PP worth of production per turn. I think that's basically it.
  5. -Goa'uld The scouts are offended by the way you talk about their mothers, and refuse to talk anymore. Meanwhile, you hear the water currents rushing. -Microb Bob The walrus-plankton cheerily accept the message of the story, and demand that you become their inferiors, because they are of the superior race. -Rocco The shell doesn't seem to budge. Nearby you see a piece of twig that broke off from overhead (the surface). Maybe you could try to use that to your advantage?
  6. -Icu Your microbes flock around a very shiny yellow object. It is about twice the size of one of your microbes. -Steve Your scouts get very close to the surface of the water. Suddenly, tragedy strikes! A large mass slams into them, killing 50 of them. The rest return to the pack. The others fail to mitosize. Many are curious as to what that mass was. +3 points -Rocco The 15 microbes refuse to give up on the shell and stay nearby. The search parties travel outwards and should be back after the next action. -Agrius Your people spot a pack of dolphin-plankton biting something near the surface of the water.
  7. The scouts begin to tell their story with EM pulses. It's hard to decipher. "The clowns played with us from the bottom. They're coming to fun us. Get ready...for the birthday party."
  8. -Icu Your scouts return with excellent news! Every day, a school of sardine-plankton swim by to grave on the wavy green stuff. There also seems to be...something shiny? -Rocco Your microbes manage to open the shell a crack. They see a glistening light on the inside. Unfortunately, the shell snaps back shut, thankfully killing no one. +1 point +0.1 Strength -Microb Bob The walruses don't know this story and sit down to listen. (Tell the story :P)
  9. Mather, you have to actually do something to help your scouts. Can't let them go psychotic! Also, every post you make, I make a roll on whether your eggs hatch. Instead of killing them off when I roll a 1, I say that they didn't hatch. :)
  10. -Rocco They find the shell is clamped shut, but perhaps an enterprising microbe might open it? -Microb Bob They interpret your story as "There once was a walrus who ate his children." They wonder why you tell the story of the boogeyman to grown adults. -Icu Your people journey for quite a while...until they see a precarious rock formation that lunges out of the water. The area is rich with resources. Can everyone remind me which area they started in? I seem to have forgotten to write it down. :)
  11. Icu Your microbes don't seem to have found another home. You see a large piece of wavy green things floating in the current. -Microb Bob The microbes succeed in glowing and herding the sardines, and the walruses are a bit impressed. They dance a jig in perfect time to prove that they are superior. +0.2 Glowing +0.1 Intelligence +1 point -Rocco The five microbes do not find another piece of floating algae, except they do find a large shell, much larger than the microbes. The twenty microbes gather lots of algae, good for quite a while. +0.3 Intelligence +2 points
  12. Sorry, I have to go. I'll be back later.
  13. The pheromones seem to have awakened the mountain! It begins shaking, destroying the work that was done earlier.
  14. -Steve Your scouts return with exciting news, fat from eating. "The surface of the water! It's...soo beautiful. We managed to evade some large beasts, but there are so many things to eat there!" Your population becomes incredibly excited and long for the surface. +4 points (you rolled two twenties in a row! Amazing!)
  15. -Goa'uld The scouts are too traumatized to say anything. The eggs have not hatched. -Agrius "Stand in a circle around us, hand in hand. Then we shall chant praises to the gods, until our bounty for the day is brought from the place beyond the sea!" One of the shellfish plankton point at the sky. -Icu Your people build a small living space for the mountain.
  16. (Yep, 190. Sorry about that) -Microb Your microbes begin an encirclement strategy and somewhat succeed. They lash out, damaging 5 of the walruses. It seems that the walruses don't seem daunted. Perhaps you need to think of another strategy. Nearby you see a pile of small rocks, a piece of green wavy stuff, and a school of sardines. -Icu You might be able to mitosize, but it probaly won't fix your weight problem -Agrius The shellfish plankton sends you a message. It seems serene. "We're sending a message to the gods above the surface of the water. Every day, they seem to drop bounties to us from above the water. The food is very delicious. We're asking them if they can bring us with them. Would you like to join us on our quest?" -Steve Your microbes begin to grow bored of exercise. They long for life closer to the surface of the water. +2 points +0.1 Intelligence
  17. -Icu Your plan works well and your people are strictly omnivores again. However, they've grown lazier from eating a lot. +0.2 Gluttony -Goa'uld The five goa'ulds do not return for days. Your pack gets worried. After they return, they are bruised and battered. -Microb The walruses refuse to be subservient. As they buck, your microbes attempt to kill them. Unfortunately, their teeth are too weak to damage the walruses (bad roll) and they are thrown off. The walruses pounce, killing ten of your microbes. (90 remaining). -Steve The microbes begin to get tired. Maybe they're a bit too fat right now and need some rest. (How many microbes do you have btw?)
  18. -Agrius Your pack manages to break the concentration of the shellfish plankton and they come out of their shells. They send a message to you that you somehow understand. "What do you want?" +0.2 Intelligence -Goa'uld Your pack tries to communicate, but they don't have anything to talk about. Perhaps it's time to send some explorers out into the world? Their minds seem duller, because they haven't been stimulated. -Microb Your tactics work perfectly and each of the walrus-planktons are being latched onto by one of your microbes. They try to throw you off, but they can't. +0.3 Combat +2 points
  19. -Steve The microbes work themselves tirelessly, but they don't seem to be shedding weight...or their desire to eat. However, their flagella become stronger. +0.5 Strength -Icu Your people binge themselves to the limit. Even though they are full, they continue to eat and eat, addicted to the new food. They soon become fat enough for mitosis. Unfortunately, they don't seem to like meat as much anymore. +0.8 Gluttony Loosely Vegetarian +1 point
  20. Would you like your people to eat as much as they can or just enough for them to survive?
  21. Awesome! 5pm Eastern is perfect for me, though I could've started about 3. I'll probaly be here for most of the time.
  22. -Microb The walruses seem unfazed by your distractive movement and move closer. Your people are itching for a headlong charge, but you're not sure if your people will win in that scenario. -Agrius The shellfish plankton seem to not have noticed you. However, you succeed in the beginnings of a "language." (Language at this stage is more like pheromones). +0.3 Intelligence +2 points -Icu The microbes eat the green stuff. They think it's tasty. The scouters encounter an orange mountain. -Goa'uld The goa'uld attempt to dance, but their lack of limbs make it hard. They try anyways, and end up making themselves dizzy.
  23. When are we starting the session for dungeoneering today?
  24. Icus and his group manage to hunt themselves lots of plankton. The other group encounters some wavy green stuff.
  25. The Icus (I'll just abbrieviate) find another area of the oasis. It seems peaceful, and little schools of sardine-plankton swim past. -Microb The walrus-plankton start lumbering towards your direction slowly. -Goa'uld Your goa'ulds are incapable of such thought.
