  1. Herb is not useful until very high levels, so buying resellable armors until the point where one can actually get to those herb levels is reasonable. Your point is true about prayer though, and DFS is indeed overrated. 85 is not a very high level, and anyone who has money to buy a DFS, even temporarily, can afford 85 Herblore (or 82 using ales.) Wait, 85 for super antifire? Are those even useful? o_o I thought herb was pretty useless until.. 91 I guess, for extreme magic.

  3. That depends on their income. If the armor takes 1 hour to get, and they make over 1m/hour, of course they should buy it.
  4. Wait so you can get 450k exp for 1m gold? Seems well worth it to me o_o Considering 450k prayer exp costs what, 7.5m?
  5. The defense is useful for bossing.
  6. Tip it definitely has some sketchy stuff, I think the staff should look into it. Unfortunately I never recorded incidents where this happened to me too.
  7. Figure 1 is the pouch setup. Figure 2 shows what your mouse will look like as you're waiting for the animation of the first runes crafting to finish. You'll notice empty pouch for the medium pouch is on the same exact line as the empty pouch as the empty pouch for the large one. Meaning, after the animation finishes, you: left click [empties medium pouch] right click left click [empties large pouch] move your mouse right slightly right click left click [empties giant pouch] No need to credit me, but there it is. Also note this might not be THE best method, there are some other methods that take game ticks into consideration, but this setup is the most common and is simpler, faster, and more reliable that the one you posted.
  8. The downward motion is while you are running to altar and the animation is going, you have plenty of time to make the vertical movement, even on a horrendous computer. Of course this saves you time, a fraction of a second sure (more since her method is more prone to error), but the point is, if there are 2 ways to do something, and 1 way is better, that way should be the guide.
  9. I pursue this line of arguing because she said she was not aware of this method, and is open minded. I can objectively prove that the L method is better, so I do not see what is wrong with explaining why it is better. So, you say her method is better if your computer is laggier. That is false. Her method requires these mouse actions (after the animation of the 1st craft finishes): left click, move right, right click, left click, move right, right click, left click The L method requires these mouse actions: left click, right click, left click, move right, right click, left click Notice the L configuration requires LESS mouse movement. This DOES matter, as it is easier to do, and faster. You wouldn't tell people to put pouches at the corners of their inventory would you? Same deal. And graahk is definitely worth it, abyss maxes at about 6k nats/hour, while graahk is 7k.
  10. Actually, I did not get this piece of runecrafting advice from him, it was just a video I found that shows the method. He's not the fastest runecrafter out there either. If your computer is laggier, it's even better to use the L method, as it is simpler as well as faster. You think you'd beat me in a rc race, how many nats do you do per hour? (completely off topic and immature but k) I feel like the person posting the guide is out of their league, because this is one of the most basic runecrafting techniques out there. The OP is being stubborn, and won't acknowledge the correct method. Is telling someone they're wrong flaming?
  11. Mine carts I think, or maybe monastary using combat bracelet or whichever thing it was that teleports you there.
  12. The first click and mouse movement downward can be done during the first crafting of runes, since you can right click while the animation is occurring. Therefore, this method is still easier and faster than yours. The L method has 1 mouse movement during the animation, and one after, while your method has both mouse movements after the animation.
  13. Here's a video that shows the positioning. I don't understand how you still think this is preference, I can't see a single benefit of using your setup. Also, this is not 1 person's opinion, it's the method almost everyone uses.
  14. Most people prefer to do it the quickest and easiest way, why shouldn't a guide tell people what most people find fastest and easiest? It's like writing a Jad guide and explaining how to melee him. And how does your mouse make click, move right, right click, click, move right, right click, click easier than click, right click, click, move right, right click, click ?
  15. IF you are using a familiar then yes it is better, however if you dont have the ability, or are using a different familiar (such as a terrorbird) for some unknown reason, sticking with 3 is better. And if by pouch set up you mean me keeping my pouches in the second to last row of my invantory, then that again is personal preferance. I find that clicking and nto having to move my mouse again to empty is faster for me and that has transfered over into my guide. However if you find this to not work as well for you as it does for me, by all means do it your way. This guide is in no way set in stone, it is for help and assistance to those who want it, but like i stated in the first post, most of it IS personal preferance and opinion. There are different ways to do every skill, runecrafting is no different. How is your method better than the traditional L positioning?
  16. It is not a debate, 4 pouch + familiar is vastly superior to 3 pouch at astrals. Also, what's with the pouch setup?
  17. That's totally wrong :) You just use guthans for 2-3 hits till u get +25 or something then switch back to other gear. What's slow about that? I'd love to see how u could bank in that time  Guthans heals maybe 1 out of every 3 or 4 hits. If you do 15 damage on average, let's say, that means it heals 4-5 hp per hit on average. Meaning in order to heal 20 monkfish worth of hp, you need to hit with guthans 75 times. Again, awful. Other options are way faster. Wth, there's only one slayer monster where I take full inv of food and it's Aberrants. All other creatures so far demand no food at all when taking guthans. Nechs/Gargoyles are the perfect example. I only wear my guthans 3-4 times per assignment... No id what def level u got, but I seem to manage perfectly... Completely missing the point.. the point is, any time you are using guthans is a waste of time because there are better ways to heal.
  18. Are ancient curses useful here?
  19. There are definitely situations where the icon stays for longer than 30 days, maybe you need to have been on their friend's list for 30 days.
  20. You could try duoing, it'd make you two last more than twice as long because you'd be able to prevent melee attacks, and also possibly restore potion share?

  22. Guthans is awful, all it does is slow you down. Better options: Bunyip Enhanced Excalibur Banking (underrated, usually takes very little time) Bone to peaches tabs (also underrated) Food
  23. I dunno, I always felt that raising cooking so you have more total exp is a bit shameless.
  24. Kersei replied to My_Eggs's topic in Help and Advice
So I could use the worst burners possible and still get full benefits from the guilded altar? Yes, either incense burners, mahogany burners, or marble burners. The torches and candlesticks won't give the bonus.
  25. Cooking exp is worthless ^^
