Average to you, maybe. Someone who hasn't done a medium of art, or is just starting, can't really notice the finer details that a more experienced person can. I say different mediums because, even though I do photo-manipulations sometimes, I can't significantly judge say, Cinema 4D work, or traditional watercolors. All of my pieces in this year are "large" (say 1200px+). I personally think it looks fine, and that it was not at all easy or simple to make, nor could just anyone make it. So maybe you're more interested in a different format of art.

My friend tried the content-aware and was not wholly impressed. It seems like an upgraded version of clone stamp. If the layout is anything like CS4, I'll stick with 3.

Well, it's meant as a large piece photo-manipulation, which means that the attention is not all directed toward a main stock/render as a siggie would be. But what I think you mean is "THAT PIECE OF [cabbage] IS REALLY BAD." In a nice way :)

When I say higher quality, I don't mean like, better, I mean like, higher quality, more colors, more shading etc. He's making some of his older things into high definition, and if he wants to do that, digipaint is the way to go.

Tablets don't automatically allow you to make "higher quality stuff" :P They just make the process a little easier. And honestly, I fail to see how a tablet would help with pixel art. It helps with digital painting because of the pressure sensitivity but that doesn't serve any purpose in pixel art. Yeah, if I give you or some random guy a tablet and go "okay here's a tablet, make high quality stuff" you'd probably just scribble and make everything look terrible. But he's been doing this pretty long I think, so it would help him. And let me put it this way: Digital painting > pixel art when you want to make "higher quality stuff" and if you can't give up the pixel look, then go into vexeling.

Yo mr xman you made my friend 44warriorz44's sig and he wore it for a long [wagon] time and liked it a bunch. You should think about getting a cheap Bamboo Tablet and working with that to make even higher quality stuff.

Grain merge is close to Screen which is (somewhat) close to Color dodge. Try that.

Probably Domi. I only had like 2 posts though. And what I meant by restrictive was, it's meant for landscapes, which don't interest me much, I can't like say, make a person standing there. And you're sam's brother right? He's the reason I joined the forum.

I'm a siggie artist, I'm the current owner of the longest lasting grefix forum on the net. I don't really try to do super good on my stuff anymore, so I don't know what you guys like. Different forums have different tastes. But I haven't seen anyone better than me on a Runescape forum yet. Pretty much tried every single style there is, but most of my work gets done on paper or in Photoshop. Never bothered to master Terragen, as it seems restrictive, and you can't make what you want. I'm also very careless about copyright. I never steal someone's work and claim it as mine, but if I want to use it, I will. Anyway, I thought I'd post a variety of my work. All of my abstracts are done from scratch and in Photoshop. Don't think any C4Ds were used. A lot of the small ones also have larger versions. ^Digipaint. I do it occasionally. I can't really be bothered with the pixel stuff you guys like. ^Pencil traditional art. ^Digipaint Lol. Thanks for looking.
