May 2, 201016 yr So, Adobe Creative Suite 5 products are now available - will you, the good people of the gallery be upgrading? 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
May 2, 201016 yr Yes, it looks absolutely awesome :P I haven't bothered with any of the upgrades since CS2 (until I got CS4 but that's another discussion all together....) but I think CS5 actually looks like it's worth upgrading to :) - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
May 2, 201016 yr I won't be upgrading yet. I'll wait until August when I have some money to spare and have moved into my new house. Even though I wont really need it by then, I'll be able to get the student version. POH Agility Course, Please Support!
May 2, 201016 yr Author It seems so much faster, and the GUI continues to be intuitive and also well designed :) 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
May 2, 201016 yr I like the content aware feature. This will allot for some fun times :). [software Engineer] - [Ability Bar Suggestion] - [Gaming Enthusiast]
May 2, 201016 yr I'm still using gimp. D: But you wouldn't catch me spending $300-500 or whatever it is for photoshop, not worth it.
May 2, 201016 yr Author From the looks of it, it adds some new features, not repackaged stuff like CS4 was. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
May 2, 201016 yr I plan to upgrade. I may even take advantage of my student discount and actually buy the suite this time around. Oh and might as well note I want the production suite.
May 2, 201016 yr The content aware feature looks really cool, I may have to play around with it a little bit. There's no way in hell I can afford it though, unfortunately. [bleep] the law, they can eat my dick that's word to Pimp
May 3, 201016 yr Downloaded and installed. Ditto. I have been playing around with the content aware healing brush system and its pretty amazing. [hide= before and after pics]Bye bye car :( Bye crappy audio card, 9800 is dominant pc component  [/hide] Video of me using CS5's content aware healing brush:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CD_5zyBDubE [software Engineer] - [Ability Bar Suggestion] - [Gaming Enthusiast]
May 3, 201016 yr Wow thats pretty crazy, if it wasn't for the lid of the trash can I wouldn't have known it was the same image without really examining it. It also loads much faster and smoother on my MBP.
May 3, 201016 yr I'm still using gimp. D: But you wouldn't catch me spending $300-500 or whatever it is for photoshop, not worth it. haha gimp XD im so used to gimp, dont know how ps even works, never touched it lol
May 3, 201016 yr Oh nice it's out? Yeah I'll get it I think. I didn't upgrade to CS4 but I'll get CS5. Does anyone know if getting Dreamweaver CS5 is worth it at all?
May 3, 201016 yr Author I've read in Computer Arts magazine that it streamlines creating a website, letting you get to the creative part of your website quicker, so you don't have to set test servers etc before you start a project. It's also now got support for PHP based CMS. It's worth looking at a more in depth view from a blog, or even buy the latest Computer Arts / other creative magazine. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
May 3, 201016 yr Why would you have to use a test server? I don't really know what the big deal with Dreamweaver is, if I want live previews of CSS changes, I can do that in Firebug. I still have slightly broken PS CS3 on Windows, and I don't really use either. If it can't be done in GIMP, it can be done in Inkscape. Been a while since I really actually used PS. So yeah, unless money appears out of the void into my hands, I'm not getting it. I don't get what's taking the GIMP developers so long, though; If you compare their development pace with that of Blender's, you really start to wonder what on earth is (Or rather isn't) going on with GIMP development.
May 3, 201016 yr Author I guess people just work faster if they have an incentive (for Adobe, money I guess ). 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
May 3, 201016 yr What a bad font colour choice in the original post, Littleboy. Still though i prefer my GIMP [hide]Felix, je moeder.Je moeder felixJe vader, felix.Felix, je oma.Felix, je ongelofelijk gave pwnaze avatar B)Felix, je moeder.[/hide]
May 3, 201016 yr I guess people just work faster if they have an incentive (for Adobe, money I guess ).Yeah :| Of course, I believe that Blender has 4-5 paid developers right now, and will have ten more this summer. Blender is much bigger a deal than GIMP, which hasn't really done anything big for the last threeish years.
May 3, 201016 yr I'll be getting it in 7 months, when I start my art design course. CS3 and GIMP are more than capable.
May 3, 201016 yr After just reading a little bit about it I wasn't impressed and was going to continue using CS3. But I just spent probably an hour and a half looking up youtube videos with examples of it, and... if there was ever a time to upgrade your Photoshop, this is it!!! There are sooooo many features that will just make everything in general easier, funner, and awesomer. The best part? It looks like the learning curve will be lowered, yet the prestige of Photoshop-wizardry might be even better now :P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2D0TgsCnwv8&feature=related I NEED THIS! Oh, and people, please don't pirate this. Adobe deserves money for making something this awesome :P
May 3, 201016 yr Oh, and people, please don't pirate this. Adobe deserves money for making something this awesome :P Lol since most of the PS users here do pirate it.... haha I Support TET!| If you want bunny PM Me.|Click For My DevArt^ Cowboy is the Best ^IT'S A TRAP SHINY JUST WANTS TO STALK YOU.Hell yeah I do. May 3, 201016 yr Anyone else watch the video to find out what they were drawing, but realize 4 minutes later that they weren't drawing anything? I thought it was gonna be like Bob Ross, nothing, then all of a sudden, LANDSCAPE.
May 4, 201016 yr Mucking around with content aware fill, it's pretty cool. Still need to be mindful of lighting and such but it's really powerful. e: [hide] Orig: Edited:[/hide]
