I wake up temporarily paralyzed. Very bad when there's some pressing concern, like needing to puke, use the bathroom, or move so you can actually breathe enough not to pass out again. Sometimes I manage little rasps trying to talk, but it can take a full ten minutes to get my voice back, much less use of my arms and legs.

My dreams convey a vivid sense of touch. Sometimes it's quite less than enjoyable, especially the spinal injuries and impalings. I also have those same kind of oracle dreams, I think it's a case of your subconscious making 'predictions' using more of your mental capacity than the waking mind is able to.

I guess it's partly an 'eye of the beholder' sorta thing. But in honesty, it seems that so many people push through life towards goals that they don't really enjoy when they get there. Many people who play video games have it happen at some point or another (I'd like to say often, but it might just be me), and you know the whole money, fame, etc. =/= happiness argument. And it's probably never going to change much, there will always be people (how I envy them) who will be able to live for the sake of living, and there will always be others who try to make joy into something artificial. I suppose it's not so much of an 'Annoy the HELL out of you' thing as a sigh in life's general direction, having thought about it.
