People who do not understand what it takes to create an update
I have to agree with this. ALL KINDS of programming take time and resources to do. Oh and quelmotz, can you stop lighting a flame for 5 months, please?

Runescape Types
I don't know who I am. I usually walk around, minding my own buiseness and do stuff other people do, like fishing and woodcutting. If I don't feel lonely, I play Clan Wars. Oh and I sometimes feel nostalgic about my early days (May-September 2007). What type am I, I'd like to know. And NO, I am NOT depressed!

An idea for an April Fool joke.
Hey guys, I had a sudden idea about a good April Fools joke. You all know that Diango in Draynor sells joke toys, right? What if they'll make a kind of a toy weapon called 'Pwnage Maul'. It'll be a bit orange in colour and looks a bit like the maules you get in Daemonheim. Diango would sell it to you for 300gp and your character will get overexcighted and dreams of becoming the best worrior ever. Its examine script would be, "A ferocious-looking maul, but is it ferocious?" And the best part would be that when the player wields it, he'll find out that it is the weakest possible weapon in the game, about -150 in all stats. It also would have an emote which makes the character raises the maul and shouts, "I shall pwn you!" and it'll stop. So guys, what do you think?

RIP OLD SCHOOL
I agree. Interdependence, having to rely on personal skills, it's all coming back. I hope they'll make more of those content like the the dungeoneering bit, I kinda like the adventure feel.

12-Apr-2010 - Dungeoneering Skill!
Ive seen two level 520+ Hobgoblin Geomancers since the update. Those bastards hit 500s :ohnoes: Wow!
-
Dungeoneering
But what is so fun to grinding? I much prefer an adventure-style content. Correct me again if I misunderstood you again.
-
Dungeoneering
Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're saying that you have more fun grinding than exploring and adventuring and stuff like that. You do relise it wasn't Jagex's ambition to make the game a grindfest do you?

Back in my day...
Back in my day, I always envied lvl 50s+ and members.

Well, they do deserve a break.

RIP OLD SCHOOL
Choose then: No Pk in wilderness and free trade. or No Runescape at all as it will be closed down from bots and RWT. Really, it's been more than 2 years already, end of story.

29-Apr-2010 Developer Blog: Voice Overs - Look Who's Talking
Lol! When I first read the title, I thought they were calling some ranters hypocrits when I suddenly laughed at my foolishness. Anyway, looking forward on hearing more voices! PS: I like to hear Tony Robinson's voice to one of the dwarves.

Dungeoneering: Skill or Minigame?
We just have to wait and see, shall we? I heard that they are developing a quest for dungeoneering.
-
dungeoneering
Yes and no. I love raiding dungons but sometimes, I get a little bit bored and train fishing and cooking again.

Some people... (Dungeoneering)
Dungeoneering does not have to be done in groups. I have done it solo many times. I don't see this is a real issue, at least not for me. The new skill is EXACTLY like a mini-game/activity. Slayer is not like an activity because you get xp for each and every monster kill during each assignment, not getting all of your slayer xp at the end of the entire assignment (that would make Slayer like a mini-game activity, but it's not even close). With Dungeoneering, you only get xp after completion of each instance. Again, this makes Dungeonerring EXACTLY like a mini-game/activity. I generally have accepted most updates with no complaint, but I think this skill could have been done a bit better. One thing that would have made the skill more fun to train is by allowing some dungeoneering experience to be gained while completing puzzles in the rooms, instead of an "all or nothing" xp reward at the end of each instance. If someone has an Internet issue in the middle of an instance, he/she would lose everything that had been done so far. It happened to me when I was close to finishing a pretty lengthy instance - annoying waste of time that was! Again, I generally have liked most Jagex updates (unlike those that seem to gripe about most of them), but just the one suggestion I gave above would really improve this new skill dramatically! Actually, if you leave before you finish a dungeon, you still get some experience. This.

So? It's 10x bigger than Falador, it has countless content and it is completely randomised, and you call it a minigame?! Not even the largest minigame in all games is that big!

Off topic: Hey nas, how are you? I love reading your threads in Future Updates! On topic: I actually agree with both articles, except when the 2nd autor said the minority like the update.
