  1. That’s pretty much how I’ve felt about them since like 2012. Some of their newer songs can be catchy but it’s all very forgettable. I still love their music from the late 90s and 2000s though. Octavarium, Six Degrees, and Metropolis are timeless to me— I’ll never get tired of those Maybe they just lost their magic to me once they got rid of their drummer since he was calling all the shots till he left
  2. new dream theater album out today. none of the tracks really caught my attention sadly. i'll prob have to relisten to it a couple times though
  3. anyone played kingdom hearts 3? KH2 is prob in my top 3 favorite games of all time-- I was considering buying a PS4 just for KH3, but after all the bad reviews I'm reading, I'm probably not going to bother. Maybe in a few years when I upgrade my ps3 to a ps4 after the ps5 comes out lol

  5. But surely there's other ways than touching?I think the only other way is simply being verbally upfront/direct, which is generally more difficult and less effective. Why are you so averse to masculinity?
  6. I was under the impression that you're not asexual and that you were getting frustrated at your lack of sex/intimacy with women. And if you're not giving off any sort of sexual vibe around women, most of them will assume you just want to be platonic friends (even if you wanted a relationship).
  7. I’m confused. Why were you pursuing her and trying to flirt with her?
  8. Yes-- if she thought you wanted to sleep with her, don't you think she'd be less likely to think you're gay?
  9. It’s good that you broke the touch barrier since many guys have a hard time doing that. Eventually you’ll have to graduate to more sexual touching though. Hugging and thumb wars is probably fine for introducing her to your touch and getting her comfortable with you, but that kind of touching isn’t sexual. You’ll eventually have to do things like rub her back, put your hand on her knee or thigh, run your fingers through her hair, etc.

Sales and marketing are the most important part of a business. Either read a lot of books and work in sales/marketing for a while and learn those skills yourself, or pay someone to do it for you

turns out you were right  for the first time, I didn't win the "best speaker" award after my speech... which was a bummer since I literally spent 20-30 hours writing and rehearsing my speech. before you speak, the toastmaster gives a brief introduction for you. unfortunately, this week our toastmaster was completely unprepared and forgot to print out the introduction I wrote for him, so he just winged it. in my introduction, I had acknowledged that most people in the audience have no interest in video games, and so this speech was meant for them in an attempt to help them understand why some people can become so invested in video games and how they aren't necessarily a waste of time or just mindless entertainment. the biggest criticism about my speech was how I didn't consider my audience. I think if the toastmaster had been prepared and read the introduction I wrote, my speech would've been received better. but maybe I just did a poor job of writing it in a relatable/digestible manner for the non-gamer. maybe it was too avant-garde since nobody's ever played music in the background during their speeches in the past  either way, in the future, I'm not going to outsource critical aspects of my speech to the toastmaster for the sake of keeping my speech within the 7 minute time limit. or, if I do, I'll be sure to print out the introduction myself so if they're irresponsible I can pick up the slack. My speech:

yes they're very open-minded fortunately. about a year ago, I gave a speech on why my favorite childhood tv show, Dragon Ball Z, was so popular and influential and they loved it.

currently writing a 7-minute speech about Ocarina of Time for my toastmasters meeting next week. essentially trying to explain to a group of older professionals who have likely never played video games why it's my favorite game of all time, as well as why it's widely-regarded as the greatest game of all time. my goal is for them to walk away with an understanding of how some people can become so attached to video games-- something which they likely perceive as a waste of time. the hardest part is condensing it all down to 7 minutes, since there's so much to talk about.

Heck you, that theme kicks ass and I live for it. You better believe I'll fight you about this. SW-0907-4301-7611 I wouldn't mind it if it didn't sound so out of place. I'm getting ready to play this fighting game with my friend-- we've had a couple of beers, we're talking shit, and we're getting ready to duke it out... and then suddenly this sappy love song starts playing? Seriously? Whose idea was that? It's not a love song, it's referencing the events of world of light >.> At most you could say it's about friendship, but in like a very battle-brothers sort of way. Then they should've arranged the instrumentation accordingly-- Brawl had similar lyrics but at least they were in Latin so you couldn't understand them and they used a choir instead of a soloist so it sounded more epic and war-like. Instead they chose to hire a female soprano soloist, singing in English about friendship. Inappropriate choice for a fighting game Disagree entirely. A song about fighting alongside your friends is 100% appropriate for the tone they're going for in Smash Bros. I'm not fighting alongside my friends though. I'm either playing alone in the campaign mode because they removed campaign co-op AFAIK, or I'm playing against my friends 1v1 on the couch

Got the new Smash Bros game for Christmas. Haven't played any of those games since Brawl. Was excited to watch this one's opening cinematic, and then my heart sank as the music started playing: Dude what the [bleep]?! This music sucks! It sounds like the soundtrack for a children's anime about love and friendship-- this is supposed to be a fighting game! Ugh I'm so disappointed.

I bought a nintendo switch this summer to keep at my parents’ house in my hometown. I bought mario odyssey and breath of the wild. I figured I’d appreciate the games more if it takes me years to complete the 100+ hours of gameplay over the course of several years instead of just binge-ing it in a month. Also havent played any nintendo games since 2003 so I wanted to see if they’re still the same quality as when I was a kid
