Andylax38's 9 Lob Bursting/Barraging Guide
Smoke Barrage only does 4 poison damage unfortunately. Either way - still should be more efficient

Andylax38's 9 Lob Bursting/Barraging Guide
Also - smoke spells are cheaper than ice spells now... their max hits are only 3 lower but they poison for like 8 damage so it's best to use smoke burst and smoke barrage now

Did You Know...? (Pt. 1)
you freeze them at a certain spot then stand at another certain spot and you'll be able to attack them but they won't be able to attack you - even if you're using throwing knives and they're using a longbow

Did You Know...? (Pt. 1)
Might be quitting soon so I thought I'd dig into my bag of tricks for you guys :) This'll be the first trick I reveal (if I decide to keep doing these :P) Terrain Mastery Difficulty to master: 7/10 Helpfulness: 10/10 Requirements: Able to use binding spells which last for 10+ seconds (15+ recommended) Did you ever wonder that perhaps certain objects in RS had a bigger purpose than just pretty eye candy/scenery? That those wilderness signs do more than just warn you about the danger? That those fight pits viewing orbs allow you to do more than just spy on other players? That CW barricades do more than stop people from moving from point A to point B? Did you know that back when staking existed, mage stakers would use obstacles to trap their opponents to be temporarily untouchable? Well, the same principle applies outside of the duel arena as well. By using this trick, you'll be able to attack someone with a weapon with short reach such as a halberd or throwing knives and they won't be able to reach you, no matter what! First I'll explain a smaller, more well-known trick which you definitely need to learn before applying the main one. Pretend you're running away from someone and they're following you. Ignoring energy and offensive tactics, what's the best way to get away from them? Trap them. If you're running away from someone, you can easily get out of their sights by hugging a nearby obstacle to trap them behind it. A lot of PK'ers are really stupid and allow themselves to get trapped behind an obstacle and let you escape. Hopefully most of you already were aware of this or can figure out how to implement it w/o me needing to draw any diagrams or explaining it in further detail (though I can if you need me to :P) (Side note: Jagex seemed to have expected all players to know this tactic when they released FoG; sadly most people never used it and threw tantrums :P) Now, in order to accomplish the first step of this trick, you need to trap someone next to an obstacle. Though, since you aren't necessarily running away from someone, it'll be a lot easier to trap someone adjacent to an obstacle. In fact, you fail to trap them the first time, you can just run around in circles around the obstacle till they're at an appropriate location. Once they're there, it's best to stand next to them so they'll stay put until bound or frozen. Keep in mind I've only researched this w/ obstacles taking up a 1x1 square - I don't think this works with any larger obstacles. Fortunately there's more than enough 1x1 obstacles in RS :P You can trap your opponent in 4 possible locations; they must be trapped either directly north, south, east, or west of a 1x1 obstacle for this to work. Once bound or frozen at the appropriate location, you must stand at another specific location in order to be unreachable. Here is a diagram of the locations :) The black square represents the 1x1 obstacle. The colored squares represent where to stand after freezing someone at the appropriate location. Remember, your opponent must be stuck adjacent to the obstacle (north/south/east/west). So for example, if you trap your opponent north of the obstacle (blue square), you can stand on either of the two blue squares south of where your opponent is trapped to attack them safely. Also note that if someone's frozen at either the north or south locations, you can stand at the red or green spots adjacent to the obstacle to safely range them as well. I just didn't know how to draw that on the diagram w/o ruining the simplicity :P Here's some places where you can take advantage of this trick *Fight Pits (viewing orbs) *Wilderness (signs) *Castle Wars (barricades - you can place these wherever you want :)) So there you go. Make good use of it - hopefully people start using more skill in their battles, rather than relying on pure luck :) Also, please don't move this to the guides section >_> This was meant to be a brief tip which won't be heard of again after it's moved off the front page, not a method which I continue to advocate and encourage like my guides :P

Obby Maul Pure
I'd advise against creating this type of pure... it usually gets killed by anything that moves lol

How to sell your d claws w/o junk
[hide=original question - answered myself >_>]I'm trying to sell my D claws so I looked around on RSOF... I noticed a guy was selling D claws for 275 opulent tables... the tables are like 10k in the GE and you can't buy them... I'm guessing this means that they're extremely undervalued then. Does anybody have more info on the subject? If so I could sell my claws for a high price w/o having to get junk or wait for GE to update.. EDIT: People are buying tables for like 500k ea on forums and advisor grihm only offers 100k ea for them... I guess they're used as junk somehow. this junk nonsense continues to perplex me :wall: Edit2: answered my own question... 275 tables would be 27.5M in pure cash still doesn't explain why people want to buy them for 500k ea tho >_>[/hide] so if you've got claws, you can trade them to someone for 318 opulent tables. Opulent tables are 10k market price in GE, however you can sell them to advisor grim for 117k each... meaning you'll get 37.2M for your claws this way.

Underrated Items
Pineapple pizzas - only like 500gp and heal 22hp in two bites (no eating delay between bites either) Phoenix necklace - makes me immune to KO's in PvP :)

Pest Control & Tormented Demons
Did they try several different spells like fire, water, ice, and slayer dart?

Pest Control & Tormented Demons
Two questions... 1) What's the best way to get PC points now for melee helm? Do I just use one of the PC-themed worlds or do I have to find a PC group? (I'd be using the high lvl boat) 2) Does magic work well on the Tormented Demons?

Andylax38's 9 Lob Bursting/Barraging Guide
You don't need that much magic att bonus... I've made several trips to the lobs now, both with full void mage and prayer-boosting, weight-reducing gear. My friend also compared full mage-boosting gear to the lesser gear... the results were the same... When it comes to comparing the costs of things at the lobsters, you wanna calculate it in terms of average amount of spells per roundup. Like, when ice barraging - most of the time it takes 13 barrages to destroy a roundup (9 lobsters). When using all 3 different styles (void/max mage att/lightweight-pray), the average amount of barrages was always 13, proving that magic att bonus is insignificant. I wear... God mitre God stole Ahrim top Ahrim bottom Zammy book Mystic water staff (saves like 96gp per cast + autocast loses its edge after about 8 spells every roundup) Spottier cape Penance gloves Boots of lightness Ring of life So this leaves me with a whopping +20 prayer bonus, only 6kg of weight, and the same magic power as the highest possible magic att bonus setup. Plus, there's no need to switch any armor while running around to conserve prayer. I also bring a bunyip with me and forget about blood spells (mostly cuz they make me lose track of ice barrage average calculations). since raw lobsters are a 100% drop and bunyips let you eat raw food, you don't need to worry about healing after each roundup if the bunyip's being too slow. plus the bunyip never strays and attacks lobsters unlike the other familiars. also you can pick up and use all 9 raw lobsters on the bunyip to convert them into water runes while you wait for lobsters to respawn and you wait for energy to go back up. Since I only carry 6kg of weight, I'm always at 100% energy before the next roundup. Also, I get about 3.5k water runes per trip from doing that (I can only tolerate 1k barrages per trip). I also use up 6.5 prayer pots per 1k barrages but the cost of prayer pots compared to barrages is negligible. more info (where I learned about the different equipment setup):

Best way to get massive amount of summoning shards?
Do you know the gp ratio for shard cost for those? And are those the best pouches in general or just for my level in this situation?

Best way to get massive amount of summoning shards?
Well I'm 79 summoning but after a few months I've accumulated enough charms for 85 summoning. What's the best way to get all the shards for leveling with?

Fastest way to make 17M worth of junk
Then how do you do it? It's not against the rules if you're just trading with a friend :wall:
-
Fastest way to make 17M worth of junk
You go to F2P BH (P2P is too lethal/risky) and your friend goes in with a sara set and some food. Your friend tells you where he is and you enter and try to find him. You wear your best equipment and a ton of food ... when you find him you kill him, pick up his sara set, and survive for 3 minutes (very easy if you can use ogre pools - infinite energy effect carries over to F2P so you can outrun everybody). F2P isn't risky at all - it just takes patience because you'll get noobs who think your friend is a RWT'er (as if any of those exist anymore...) and they'll attack him or report him (even though there's no rule saying you can't xfer since you aren't trading to yourself or trading for RL money)... so I'd recommend doing at least 2 sets at a time (though, you can only have one of each armor/weapon in there so you'd need a sara set and a guthix or zammy set or whatever...). Like I said... it's really simple when you understand it - just frustrating/tedious when you have to deal with the idiots of RS
