I tried it - its only advantage is that you get to use piety... but it's overall slower XP plus you have to pay attention and make minimal profit. I like the monkeys more because you can use a combat familiar and you don't have to pay any attention.

full void + dfs works out nicely, you don't need very much def bonus... prioritize offense also monsters become unaggressive after like 10 min so you don't really need to worry about god garments either

String ammy isn't a good choice atm.... the market is completely sold out of gold ammies. They quit selling to me right when I hit 98 magic :( Guess I'll be barraging rock lobs for the final stretch

Barraging is more efficient (and more fun as well!) I, as well as two other friends, have compared barraging to bursting (the main way to compare is simply average how many spells you use per roundup) Here's some figures from some youtuber - I assume they're pretty accurate as well

Any suggestions for what to wear/bring to fight and heal for this? I'm not really gonna do it - I just don't feel like doing my usual prayer method for a trip... I'd rather fight them one at a time for once. Probably gonna use void and broad bolts but don't know what else to wear/bring... bunyip doesn't heal enough. Would an elemental titan work by itself or would I need bones to peaches?

I said it was the best STR XP - as in, comparing only to the dragon scimitar Training str w/ obby weapons is slightly less than training att/def with the whip - they both have the same max hits but the whip of course is more accurate

True, but with 40 defense and 1 Prayer, I'd say it'll be far too much of a hassle to even stay that long to make them unagressive. Meh it's only about 10 minutes or so... after that he can stay there forever theoretically

Waterfiends are fine... you can range them from safespots if you just bring food to protect you till they become unaggressive In the northern area of the waterfiends west of the river, there's rocks you can trap them behind. Use a rune c'bow though - their attacks are about knife/dart-distance so any long-range attacks that reach further than that will keep you safe.

Last Christmas (haven't checked prices now), if you had massive amounts of unenchanted bolts, you'd get about 300k magic XP/hour from enchanting diamond bolts and make a profit from it as well

Bandits are like 40-50k XP per hour max plus you have to pay more attention and deal with a ton of competition. The monkeys are 70k-100k XP per hour w/o any competition or effort I've tried that place but I don't like it as much since you can't AFK there very easily (picking up drops) and you use up way more p pots

That's not really a factor in this comparison :P

Yeah Demesne covered it pretty well... I've been doing it from 80-99, it's the most time and cost-efficient way to train magic (assuming you can make over 500k per hour)
