  1. So in other words, my goal isn't necessarily to turn every girl into a "yes." It's simply to find out if she's a "yes" or "no" ASAP so I can figure out if I'm wasting my time or not :P
  2. how do you start that? I'm picturing: Muggi: DON'T FORGET ABOUT ME, PLEASE!!!!!!! lol I usually say "hey just confirming tomorrow night at 8" Well when I close them, I say something along the lines of "I'm free at x and y times. if you're up for it, let me know if either of those work for you and I'll give you a time and a place." if they say they're free, then I say "ok cool. let's meet up at x at y time. my number's z." I never actually ask for their numbers. I just give them mine once they agree to meet up. If they give me their number or text me immediately afterwards, that's always great. it's pretty common that they won't give me their number or text me until the day of the date though. the confirmation message I send 24 hours ahead of time pretty much guarantees that they'll either show up or they'll tell me they can't make it when I'm confirming. I don't think I ever explicitly ask them anything, even if I need an answer, since that dramatically raises the odds of them declining whatever it is you're asking for (just basic sales psychology). instead of "what's your phone number" or "can I get your phone number?" "my number's xxxx. shoot me a text if you want." or simply "my number's xxxx" instead of "hey are we still on for tomorrow night?" "hey just confirming that we're still on for tomorrow night." instead of "do you want to meet up?" "let's meet up. I'm free at x and y times. if you're up for it, let me know if either of those work for you." there's also a certain degree of indifference (another key sales principle :P) in those messages. nothing's a big deal, they're free to make whatever decision they want; doesn't matter to me.
  3. Yeah if I'm messaging a girl on a Monday, I always try to schedule the date on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday night. And I always send them a confirmation 24 hours prior to make sure they don't forget/flake. Anything longer than that means they're going to flake if they didn't give me their phone number. If they gave me their phone number, I have a text conversation w/ them a day or two before meeting up so they don't forget about me :P
  4. if you're really that busy though then you probably don't have time to date anyways lol edit: lol tfw copypasting the "you seem interesitng..." etc style openers and send it to a girl with a blank profile and get called out on it awk Yeah that happens occasionally since my first follow-up message is always "What would you say your best quality is that doesn't have anything to do with your looks? I've got my own guesses but you'd probably know better than I would. :)" Hard to provide "my own guesses" when their profile's completely blank lol But other than that, I've never actually been called out for using a copy/paste opener on any of the dating sites. I've only been called out once and that was on Tinder the first time I tried using it... and that's mostly because my standard opener made no sense within the context of Tinder so it was kind of obvious lol If a girl ever does accuse you of copy/pasting, then your immediate response should be... Her: You sent me a copy and pasted message? Wow. You: Hell yeah. Or Her: Guys who send copy and paste messages are really lame. You: Yeah, I agree with you that guys who send copy and paste messages are awesome...

Currently 45 degrees (F) outside and my apartment's outdoor pool is always open. So I went swimming for a few minutes >_> Felt even better than a cold shower, though the walk back to my apartment while I'm still dripping wet and have nothing but a towel to keep me warm kind of sucks lol I'm wondering if the pool is heated, though, since every time I dip my foot in the water before I jump in, my foot feels warmer in the water
  6. After asking her what her best qualities are besides her looks: Her: Well, your guess is as good as mine. We'd like to think that we know ourselves inside and out, but our brains are fantastic deception artists. So from a very subjective standpoint, I'd say that I'm rather funny and have a quick wit. Also (as shown by my profile pictures), I'm a great photographer. That much, even through this haze of self-interest, is true. >_>
  7. Older women (31+) are very polite online. They almost always respond, even if it's just to politely say that I'm too young for them lol

Glad he quit the frat. He has a brain.
  9. While AFKing at NMZ, this reminded me of: Just a line of violent NPCs trying to beat some sense into me >_>
  10. I liked to imagine Death having Norm Macdonald's voice while doing the event :D
  11. hickeys are a status symbol but if you're ashamed, cover it up with a turtle neck. and a gold chain, which is another status symbol.
  12. I don't think I ever use smileys when I text my guy friends. But then again, they know me well enough to detect my text sarcasm and they're not the kind of people to get offended. For example, I told my best friend to kill himself the other night. It was funny. Edit: [hide="language] [/hide]
  13. I always liked Muse songs so I ended up listening to their full albums last week. Currently, my two short-term favorite songs are: and 1st song gets me pretty pumped and motivated. 2nd song has the opposite effect on me so I have to be careful about listening to them :P
  14. Well right now I'm trying to only use smiley faces to indicate that I'm being sarcastic. Or if I'm being flirtatious, but I'm usually not like that with a girl until after I've met her in RL.
  15. Been experimenting with sexual tension and indifference when scheduling dates. In other words, using less smiley faces, being as concise as possible in my responses, and pretty much just letting girls know I genuinely don't give a shit whether they want to meet up or not (because getting dates is so easy these days lol). Been working out pretty well so far; would recommend  Me: [pitches the meet after 3 back-and-forth messages] Her: That was pretty fast. Me: Hell yeah. [my go-to response to everybody in my life who questions my behavior http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NisCkxU544c&t=1m28s] Her: I mean I'm not against it but I am new to this. Me: Yeah it's cool. Her: There's a bar near where I live....... (I always ask girls what they consider their best quality to be besides their looks; this girl asked me what mine were after she answered) Me: I'm actually a terrible person with no positive qualities. :) Haha but seriously it's my carefree personality. I never get stressed out or angry. So you're not actually a psycho lunatic serial killer then, are you? :) Her: I thought you just said you were carefree but now you're worrying whether I'm a killer or not. Me: That question wasn't serious. Her: I know. I was kidding Her: Lol Me: That's pretty funny. [pitches meet, she accepts. meeting her tonight for coffee] Me: [pitches meet] Her: Nice but hold your horses. Do you have anymore images of yourself? Me: Nah Her: Lol... Why not? I want to see more of a variety, not just two images. Me: Well I'd add you on Facebook but I don't like adding people I've never met before. Her: Lol why don't you have more pics? I'm just wondering Me: (shrug) Her: Before you shrug I just want to privde you a compliment. That first image is quite attractive :) and the second is even better. Shows you're pretty strong and talented. Hmmm.... Me: Thanks But yeah right now's prime time for online dating. It's like shooting fish in a barrel this time of year :D

I had to use R for a grad-level psych stats course my senior year. Never. Again.
  17. whyIt isnt funny if i have to explain it
  18. No nothing like that lol, just as long as it's not the same day as the date was. If a girl texts me before I text them after a date, that's usually a sign that they're DTF
  19. I wait at least 24 hours. I don't think it really matters as long as you don't text them the same day as the date
  20. gonna be a second date? *shrug* we'll see when I text her in a couple of days.
  21. Just got back from a date w/ a super introverted girl. Man I hate those. Thought of this thread and was thinking, "Damn. This is what I get for not having prepared stories to talk about" lol
  22. Well it's literally physically impossible for me to have sex if I'm not attracted to my partner :P
  23. muggiwhplar replied to Leoo's topic in Off-Topic
I'm in the same boat as you. Except you'll notice that your bill will be increasing soon too unless you switch back to your old speed :P
  24. Sexual tension is only bad because it's basically wanting something that you can't have. You can circumvent this issue by either getting what you want (having sex) or not wanting it in the first place. Like I said, she's hot so even though sex with other women is better, at the end of the day it's still sex with a hot girl :P
