24-Nov-2010 Herblore Habitat
Habitat is *yawn,* but nice amount of free cash.

What happened to everyone?
Nowadays those deserted areas are used as quiet training places. Most noobs don't find their way to Yanille.

Does Jagex really know its own game?
I think Jagex's real problem is that they have so many different levels in the game and beauracracy that muffs the whole thing up.

There's no hurry, enough stuff to rant about. She'd run herself ragged with all the crap their is to rant about.

Updates
Since you keep saying there is still so much stuff left to do for you, might I ask what exactly? Sure thing. |^_^| 1. Get 99 Mining 2. Get 99 Runecrafting 3. Get 99 Dungeoneering 4. Get 120 Dungeoneering and achieve the maximum total level. 5. Get all Dungeoneering Items I want and max out all classes on the Ring of Kinship. 6. Complete my house by adding Abyssal Demon Head, KBD Heads and KQ Head in my skill halls. 7. Hang up a Mounted Bass and Swordfish in my skill halls. 8. Get a Green and Red Dragon egg, then grow all Dragons to complete my Menagerie. 9. Obtain the ancient pages I'm missing for my Ancient Cavern book. 10. Get ranked in all minigame highscores. 11. Get every Castle Wars armor piece excluding swords up to intricate. 12. Get all Castle Wars halo's, cape's and shield. 13. Complete the Champion's Challenge. 14. Kill 4'000 Chompy Birds for the Expert Dragon Archer hat. 15. Complete all Court Cases. 16. Get a Cute Phoenix Eggling. 17. Get an Abyssal Demon Pet from Soul Wars. 18. Get a Fire Cape for my Cape Rack (excluding the one in my bank). 19. Make money/merchant to get the items I want. - tl:dr = I have enough content to keep me busy, and I'm almost maxed. Is it useful? Hell no, but it's content nevertheless. In the end of the day, Runescape itself isn't really useful. Hey Den, quite the list there. Apparently RS can go on for several years without updates and still keep you busy. Yeah, haha. I actually liked the old layout better.... better overview, in my opinion:D Same. I look on tip.it nowadays to see if there is/was an update, in case I missed one on RS-homepage. If she comes back to Tip.It, she can pick up where she left. She probably won't as she doesn't play Runescape anymore due to her joint issue. Maybe in the future she will.

I think that's probably why they always have Void pt 3 or somethign there to point out the last big update so people don't see the small, crappy one. :P

[CONFIRMED] No update today
I don't think that's the issue here. I imagine that it was going to be a Wednesday release for this update anyway, they just added on last week's, but didn't change release date for the week. Besides, it'll be bugged anyway.

Hard to update when you're hungover. ;)

Because you have to give them a reason gto level up beyond a certain point. Once it becomes more of a grind, then their needs to be goals and objective rewards that you can look forward too. Then again, everyone can't have everything. It'd be stupid to expect to win the nobel prize in physics and the super bowl MVP. It's just not realistic. Specialization within the game would actually be a great thing(and it already is). i completely agree, though historically Jagex has never done that. Either way, they need more end game stuff for people to shoot for. It may be only for a small minority now, but if it were there, people might try to get higher. And if you don't like it people, go play Farmville.

[CONFIRMED] No update today
One thing I've learned my lesson with Jagex about is: Never buy members for the updates that are being released, only buy it for the updates that are already released.

[CONFIRMED] No update today
I personally think they should stop tying old content upgrades and fixes with newly released content. Once they become entwined and when one gets delayed, they both get delayed.

then jagex should have put 99 at 1 million xp, not 13 million. That's not a decision. That's the way things have always been. since you cannot grasp the concept: then jagex SHOULD change 99 to 1 million xp How does this make sense? All those who have trained beyond 1m in just about any skill would then also be disadvantaged. I'd hazard a guess such a decision would still disadvantage the majority because they've trained thirteen times longer than they needed to. The fact is, not one of you has come up with a decent argument as to why Jagex should be releasing content for people who have over 90 Agility, ~0.2% of their paying customers. The fact none of you can see that disadvantages 99.8% of Jagex's paying customers just speaks volumes about the extent to which you're willing to deny this, so I'll just leave because it's clear I'm not gonna get a straight answer. Because that's only how many people can use it at present. More could later. Also, it could be argued that no one strives for that high of a level because there is nothing there waiting for them and making them strive for it.

RuneScape Research Group
Pretty much. He really wants to get to the really nitty gritty numbers and be all anal about it. And not the good kind of anal.

*smack* "wha... wuzgoinon? Somebody was talking about researching something and it made me nod off.

Because it only affects those 200 at the moment of release. More people can use it as they gain the necessary levels. You need to have something to aim for. RS is bloated with mid-level crap.

Spot stealing wrong?
I don't think acting as if it's a single player game is the problem. It's reacting to people as if it was that's the issue.

Actually if Stone pays by the month and you pay quarterly, he'd pay more for his members than you do.
-
Spot stealing wrong?
Legally, it is. I think that depends on whether stealing requires outright ownership of said item or simple possession of it. I think stealing means ownership and possession means you've taken it. It depends on what you mean "possession". How you use that term changes things. Possesion means possession. If you steal someone's wallet out of their pocket, they possess, but they don't own it. I think you can possess a spot, but you cannot own it. Instead of spot stealers we should call them 'claim jumpers?"

I spend a lot of time wandering around. Typically when f2p cause I don't want to pay to wander. It's still fun. Maybe Jagex could give some people better ways to annoy other people. I'm sure a large portion of people play RS just to do that.

If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. I'm not sure if the "kitchen" is the spot or RS as a whole...

Katya has pretty much retired from Runescape from what I hear. She still f2ps a bit, but won't give them any more money. She says that only encourages them to make crappy updates, lol.

02-Nov-2010 - Dungeoneering The Warped Floors
Wise old man maby? I mean its not like there are a lot of people with white beards. And love my sneakerpeerer pet  Just to bad you can't store baby versions in the managery  My first guess was the WOM too, can't think of many other important NPCs with a long white beard. The Wise Old Man is going to be like Brett Favre. Every time you think he's retired, he keeps coming back. And after that he'll get in trouble for sending pics of his WOD to Miss Chism on his Scrying Orb. Oh and if you don't know what WOD stands for, probably for the best.
