Id say far less than 10%. Best thing to do is do other subquests with ur cat out and let it grow. bring fish with u to feed it and give it attention when it says. thats what i did.

I was under the impression that your damage is actually Damage * 15% * 15% and not just Damage * 30%, if that makes any sense. the increase is additive, not multiplicative, so yes 30% he means 15% then 15% of the added. so 15% of 100 is 15. therefore 115 15% of 115 is.... Get me?

A cannon wont really increase your profit if you take into consideration the cannonballs. That is if you have a decent ranged level. It will increase xp rate though. Short answer- Just do the quest. its easy.
