  1. That's about right, I would recommend making the money ASAP for piety though, its much much better than the 15% str prayer.
  2. Define relatively fast.
  3. Sy shouldn't apologize. In a pro clan/world PC on a veteran lander is better than conquest in terms of points per hour, you can do the math yourself.
  4. Also prices of related items. As more normal dragon bones come into the market from players and bots frost dragon bones price will drop as well to match the relative gp/exp.
  5. You do 10/5 for the better maple ratio which in turn increases your # of nests. Since maple does give a slight profit (I believe it's actually pretty significant now) and the nests are supposedly the majority of your income - well, it makes sense that you get more maple. The thing is if you collect daily on a 9/6, then you're getting the same amount of bird nests. However if you go 10/5 and collect weekly - you'll end up with more bird nests You quoted him on it. The irony...it kills ;)
  6. Fun is subjective, I hate BA. Looks are subjective, I think it looks like crap. Respect is subjective, the full suit is relatively useless so I view it as a waste of time. Achievement I'll give you. Essentially with full penance and a certain prayer bonus you can use certain prayers and not run out of points ever. It has no feasible combat capabilites however and with the cost of ppots at an all time low its not really worth having. The penance gloves are fine if you want to max your weight reduction. The torso is fine if you have a BA fetish and want to save the couple mil on buying bandos. Void has a prayer bonus (elite), is the best in almost any concievable method of training range or melee, and excels at one of the best moneymakers in game TD's.
  7. Would be nice if people would read it once it was stickied but they wouldn't. Sell guthans, sell veracs except for the skirt. My normal money making advice is as follows. 1.) Farm herbs. This can be done every 1.5 hours for ~100 k profit per run, more depending on what herbs and whether or not you have a scroll of life from DG and farming juju's. Consequently you can dg to get your scroll and train hunter at HH for juju's inbetween herb runs. Also if you grab a scroll of cleansing making the herbs your farm into unf pots yeilds additional profit (unless you're farming torstol). 2.) Invest into MTK. 9 on maples 6 on coal is the best atm. 3.) Do your dailies, things like buying battlestaves, the broad bolt and arrow tips, berts sand, seaweed, etc. Doing all of these will net you around 20 mil a week for very little effort. Adding in another decent money maker like green dragons will bring this up a lot. Though since you lack a rapier I recommend dging for one.
  8. No point in a lumby portal now that HT is free and no time restraint so thumbs up on that. The only things that matter for house set ups imo is all the teleports and your chapel within one room of your entrance, which it looks like you've done. Also I have OCD so symmety is my best friend. Edit Ninja'd by Q for what feels like the millionth time...
  9. Doesnt the accuracy bonus help the cannon? Also another reason to do fastest points is for unlocking the fletching/rings of slaying etc. I personally did it to unlock them all before I got to actually slaying for exp and considered it worth doing for fun as well as efficiency from a points/hr standpoint.
  10. Use an addy scimitar set to defensive and go to bandos GWD. It'll be fun! Add +1 if you got it. That being said all the best options for training combat are undead with the exception of LRC (which are too high leveled for your combat) due to the use of the salve ammy (e). Common options are (in order of best to worst for exp/hr) Zombie Monkeys on ape atoll, Armoured zombies, followed by giant skeletons in damis's lair. If those arent available to you due to quest reqs let us know, ill provide other options. Also note that you should always be using prayer to train. The cost in prayer potions is 45 k/hr with a decent prayer bonus and that money is easily justified by the significant exp/hr increase.
  11. :-| You either don't know what efficient means, or don't have any understanding of opportunity cost whatsoever (and, by the sound of your post, you definitely don't want to learn anything, so I won't bother explaining it unless you ask). Needless to say, asking for help from knowledgeable players isn't going to help you at all, because you're convinced that your way of doing things is correct when in fact your method is inferior for reasons you can't be bothered to understand. That doesn't make the advice given to you bad, it makes you closed minded. No, I'm pointing out that there are other definitions of efficient that go beyond someone's spreadsheet. For me, saving money in exchange of a lower xp/hr is more efficient than using all that food. My definition of efficient may not match yours, but that doesn't make it less viable. I'm not closed-minded because I have tried the max xp/hr method, found it to be too expensive AND just as long as the "slower" method due to the extra bank trips and decided that it wasn't the most efficient method for me. That doesn't make it wrong in general, just not right for me. If it works for you, then great. My way works for me, and whle it may not match your definition of efficient, it doesn't make it inefficient. It's just a different kind of efficiency. Your definition of efficiency is wrong. You arent saving money for less exp/hr. The time you saved getting the higher exp/hr could have been used to make more money than you saved. And as noted before if you're going through that much food you are using inefficient healing methods or slaying techniques (such as prayer flashing). Just because you feel better about your particular way of training does not make it efficient. It makes it enjoyable for you. Efficient is not some abstract concept that can be applied to anything anyone does based on whether or not they feel good about what they are doing. This isn't an issue of respecting someones view. Its an issue of people trying to claim that A is objectively better than B when it clearly isn't the case from all measurable variables. B may damn well be funner than A for you, so go do it, we wont stop you and we don't care how you train. We do care when you go and try to claim that because B was a fun way for you to train that it makes it the best way to train.
  12. At 50 you can net trap penguins if you've done hunt for red raktuber or whatever the hell its called. These are better than red sallys for exp and can be hunted earlier. Lacking an arctic bear use one of your larupia/ghraak familiars (+5 boost). These can be hunted until 70 where the only place you should hunt is herblore habitat. If you get bored of them switch to red sallys (59 hunter).
  13. To add a final thought to this before I go to bed that might stir up some interesting discussion: how many of you have ever done the Meyers Briggs Type Indicator? I've done a lot of classes on it and I'd be curious how many of us on the efficiency side of things are Thinkers and how many on the other side are Feelers. As a Thinker I never found blades posts to be mean, just blunt, and found that the people offended were over reacting (probably because they are Feelers).
  14. Hate to break it to you but snapdragons even without jujus are still the best profit per patch/run. Edit If super restores are the best gp/exp then make them, if not sell the snap unf and buy the stuff to make whatever is. Also I buy my snap seeds in sets of 100.
  15. Its probably still snaps, with an avg of 6.6 herbs per patch including deaths you should get about 33 herbs per run. At 10.5 k each and making them into unf potions (about another 3-5 potions free with your scroll of cleansing) you should have about 388 k in unf potions. Seeds atm are 43 k ea so 215 k in seeds per run still nets you 173 k profit per run. With jujus that avg goes from 6.6 to 8.8---> 44 herbs per run ---> 48 unf potions = 504 k ---> 289 k profit. TLDR: you'll make about 173 k profit per run without jujus. 289 k per run with them. Snaps are lvl 62 farming, 5 levels is like 2 days of tree farming, definitely worth it for farming jujus. Not to mention the best hunter leveling method in game. Bed time, good luck!
  16. Should also clarify this is with farming juju's.
  17. *blushes* In all honest what Levon outlined is as close to the best as you can get. Some minor changes could probably be made and it could slightly improve/worsen but its not worth quibbling over. I will add my +1 to farming snaps while working on your rapier. Today I made 1.09 mil profit from 3 herb runs of snapdragons and making them into unf pots. Would have been more but my third run was 27 herbs with a dead patch and no seeds back...still 150 k profit after making the unf pots. Only thing I have to add is that herb runs can be done every 1.5 hours, which allows you to do 8 runs a day (12 hour day) vs 6 runs a day if you're doing them every 2. With an average of 250 k profit per run (conservatively) that's another 500 k you're making.
  18. *recieves love* ....no homo. Also this is starting to sounds scarily similar to /obt/...did we somehow get sucked into his spamfest wonderful world of a blog? Its late and Im sleepy so as much as I want to I can't come up with a way to bring this post back on topic...sorry mods.
  19. Well bestest friend, if you want someone to dg with you and im online let me know. My rsn is Tieszen. Ps when do we get to see a bank pic? I NEEDZ WAIS OF COMPAIRING MAI-SELF TO YOU. *gives cookies in apology for the all caps*
  20. Nah, money sucks. Prayer exp though is awesome and the evil money brought me one step closer to 95 prayer :)
  21. Any chance you could pm me where to access said spreadsheets again? I miss being able to answer half of the threads in H&A with a link your AoW thread... *cries*
  22. thumbs up and down reminds me of a certain forum user... you can't get 1m dg xp per day; that's impossible! Its...over...nine...thousand?
  23. Got it, Ill make a mental note to not use that phrase around him ;) I like the guy from what I do know about him.
  24. You mean where people post useful advice and the op throws it back in their face? I've never seen someone troll people by telling them to use the best methods available to them. People don't seem to even know what the word troll means. "In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response" So you're saying is that people post efficient setups and training methods to provoke the OP? Why did you leave out the last half of my quote where I said that way more people are helped than get trolled? I'm not saying posting efficient set ups is done to provoke the OP, im saying that on rare occasions the OP asks for something specific and gets his answer in the form of do something else. Which is off-topic. In a topic about what way of runecrafting for cash is the best if the response is go kill frosts that is off topic. Which by the definition you kindly linked is trolling. A response that wouldn't be trolling would be "blood runes with tabs is x gp/hr, however this is a relatively low amount for income and y would be a better option for you if your goal is money". All that to say my point of the post your quoted was that actual trolling is rare, it just happens to stick in our memories longer. Physiologically because the chemicals released in your brain in response to something that gets your angry are about 7 times more potent (take 7 times longer) to be processed and removed than the ones released to something nice happening.
  25. We keep pulling up threads where someone got efficiency trolled. For every one of them there's a dozen others where the efficient advice helped the poster achieve his/her goal.
