  1. With 45 Defense you're still going to lack a lot of defense (especially gear wise). I'm pretty certain you can get away with meleeing. It will most likely speed things up. Not a lot, but enough to make it worth it. You might have to rethink your tactics a little as well. Pure Kiln is a lot different than Maxed Kiln. You might have to utilize the L-shape safespot on mane of the waves. I'd also suggest using a Unicorn instead of a Yak, as it's all you'd have to need. Using the L-shape, as i suspect you might have to, will save you a lot on brews. The problem is not going to be staying alive getting to the final wave, but rather staying alive during the final wave (if you happen to run into some bad luck, spawn wise). This is the issue i had. Use Blood Barrage for main healing as well, save Unicorn for emergencies (you will really only have to use it when/if you mess up a bit). Use Poly Staff whenever you don't need the healing. Use Blood Barrage on all Jad Waves waves, on whatever is standing next to Jad as this will start doing damage to him while you're not really attacking him yet, making him just a bit easier to kill. Try save all the Mage Crystals (as i am sure you are aware by now). Use the first one on the Double Jad wave, etc. I'd take about 7 or 8 brews, 3 Overload Flasks, 3 Renewal Flasks and then 3 or 4 Super Prayer/Super Restore flasks. Should be more than enough to see you through. Should really be no issue with 45 Def, Turmoil and Unicorn.

Also thank, this helped me a great deal.

I don't see why people keep saying it's hard to path without a defensive bind, to be honest. I've had almost no problem doing it. I find that i have about as much difficulty as people who have a plate binded instead of a hood (when it comes to rooms where having something agro can give you a hard time, like the statue rooms that need weapons, etc.). It's more than easy to stay alive because of all the gd's that drop food. I die about the same now as i did when i had a hood, and i think i've actually managed to improve myself a bit. I assume you meant constant dying when saying pathing without a defensive bind can be hard?

Reading a different threat, it reminded me of something. Now my current binds are as follows: Blood Necklace Prom 2H Surge Box CC Staff I know it's a bit unorthodox (sp?). It's something i probably have never seen anyone use. I do not really plan on changing this "setup" unless i manage to get a Hex. That's the only time i'll ever change it. Maging really has a lot of advantages, i feel. Certain GD's just get done so much faster. And at the level i am now (and with the level of the people i mostly DG with), it seems that 90% of the time there's 2 or 3 hexes on my team and one or two people with Plates. I think of the last 20 odd floors i've done, only 2 or 3 other times have i seen someone with a Surge Box. Now my question is this. I'm struggling to really find out which monsters i should Mage. Currently i basically Mage all (well, anything from lvl 80+) Warriors (whether they are Forgotten, Earth, or whatever), high level Hill and Fire Giants (although i think i stopped doing Fire Giants), and all high level Skeletons (the ones which have RED combat levels). Sometimes when Mage certain high level Zombies too, as it seem's to work pretty well on them. I mage most Demons (always Black Demons). That's about it. What i am unsure of is what else i should be maging. I have Blazer t10 at the moment. I've maged most monsters at some point or another. What i noticed is that certain Shades (the higher level one's) seem to be pretty weak to magic, as do high level ghosts. But does it come close to melee DPS at all? Also, which bosses should/could i mage? At the moment there's really just one i find mage to be useful on (Skeleton Trio). I've use it on the Pummeller once or twice, and it seemed to do pretty well there too, especially once his Def gets a bit higher. Don't think i've really used/tried it on any other boss. Also, before anyone mentions Air Surge vs. Fire Surge. I try my best, for the first few doors that open, to pick up as many coin/pure ess drops as i can in between drops. I pick up as many FirE Rune drops as i can, too. Then i usually just run back to "base" and make some runes (which usually takes me about 20 seconds to make a fair amount). I don't really think this wastes too much time, as the time saved using Fire Surge makes up for the time lost for making runes (and probably saves more time). Also i DG in w67, no one there gives a shit about wasting 20 seconds :D
  5. I agree that Jagex might add certain items to the wheel that should not be added. I agree, as Kim pointed out, that we are being eased into it. I do not agree though, that they will lose a large portion of their player base. How many of you complain and moan about SoF every update, threatening to quit? Quite a few of you, in fact. How many of you actually quit? Not many of you, in fact. How many other player's that don't use TIF complain, and how many of them actually quit (quit for good, not cancel membership for a week/month then start playing again)? I can assure you that the amount of money lost due to canceled memberships does not even make up 1% of the money they gain from people buying spins. Jagex, right now, is making bank from all the people buying spins. They know people are quitting, and they know many more are going to quit. But what they also know is that as long as they make certain updates (updates which include microtransactions), certain players are going to stay and those players' purchases are going to greatly outweigh the losses they suffer from members leaving. Now, my biggest goal in RS has always been to max. I never though i would get to that point, but i did. And i was happy about it for a month or two. Then SoF was released and i never really cared much about it until you could start buying spins (which was basically Jagex selling exp). I had to work pretty hard to get to where i am currently in the game. I put in some crazy hours. I know no one ever forced me to do it, but i did. But with every update that is released the game is getting easier and easier, taking away from me something i used to call a pretty nice achievement, and a sign of commitment. I no longer feel like that. Even with effigies, you needed commitment to get 99 in a skill using Effigies. You still had to camp a monster, make money to get them fast, etc. Now all you need is a rich mommy and daddy, or a job with very little living expenses. Now i have about 4 months left until i go back home. When i get back home, i'll probably start playing xBox again in which case (and this is probably the first time i've ever felt like i mean it), i'll probably end up saying goodbye to the game i grew up with.
  6. Made bank at Bandos last night. Bankloot below: Oh and i got 105 DG today :D
  7. That is something i honestly did not even think about.

Not sure if it's possible, so i'll ask one question before moving on to the next. Is it possible to get a Soulgazer while doing any form of Solo floor (Med or Small)? If yes, would it be worth it doing Small/Med Solo floors to get one (a Hexhunter, that is)? If yes to above, any estimates on how long something like that can take? Now, some reasons why i would ask something like this. Dungeoneering is a skill that requires at least 25 - 35 minutes of your time in one "sitting" (I DG on w67, so finding a team, getting set, doing a 20 minute floor [sometimes a bit longer] ). That's not always something i can afford to do, nor want to do. Sometimes doing something quick for 10 or 15 minutes is all i need to get my "fix", and since Dungeoneering is the only skill i have left, this is what i would like to be doing (of course there are many times where i'd sit on RS for hours on end and do 4 or 5 floors without logging out). So i'm not planning on getting 120 Dungeoneering all on my own. The only thing i was wondering is if it was possible, and if it would be worth it. Obviously i do not want to spend 5m Exp getting it (but i probably would not really mind that much). Then, while i have this up i guess i might as well ask this too. I currently have 104 DG. I've got a Hood, P2H and BN (and Laws). Assuming i do, eventually, get a Hex, what would be the smartest thing to do break? Now i've heard people saying that not having any Defensive binds (Plate/Hood) is going to make for some difficult floors (in terms of staying alive), but i remember having ~95 DG before ever seeing a Hood, and back then i never really had much trouble staying alive. On Os and Ws, Necros and Mages are so common that a Hood sometimes feels like a wasted bind anyway, and that i might be better off with something focused more on DPS rather than Def. I'm not the type of player to cry about 2 or 3 deaths on a floor if it means doing the floor a few minutes faster. Heck, i'm all for it. So that being said, would something like Hex, BN, P2H (although i'd probably switch back to PBA soo, because i like it more), be a good idea? How will this affect the speed of the average GD/Boss? Reasons for an answer would be good too. I had one more question, but it has slipped my mind for now. I'll post it later when it comes back to me.
  9. Only about 5m of that is profit, sadly. I've died there so many times. 90% of my attempts have been in Dharok's, and the only way to really have fun doing that is by risking it. And sitting on 300 lp at QBD is not really always a smart thing to do :P So needles to say, i've had to spend a lot on armour repairs and brews.
  10. How much are those going for? My last two kills were lantadyme drops, so don't complain too much. Sold 20.5m
  11. That was fun :P Sadly i think QBD is capped at 1k damage. I hit 1 000 probably 6 or 7 times in one kill, never more (which i find odd). And on one of those hit's i was on 76 lp with the Bonfire Boost (not 100% sure if this affects max hit, but i think it does).
  12. http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon_full_helm Provided its significantly rare enough of a drop it will become a status symbol like the dragon full helm. And people are always willing to pay lots of money for things that have horrible stats that look good/portray wealth in this game *looks at the partyhats* Party Hats are a discontinued item. Unless QBD stops dropping them, they will not ever become that rare. The price will drop. Everything else does. And as a side note, people don't hunt Mithril Dragons in hopes of getting a DFH, nor do they kill Metals for a Visage (those that do are idiots and probably don't have the mental capacity to kill QBD anyway, so they are not relevant to this discussion). Lol on my main I hunted metal dragons for a visage/training it just so happens they make the money back easily with their normal drops anyway. BTW when ppl kill anything they hope for the best drop soo idk what your talking about. I don't even know how to reply to this post.

  14. Kind of sad that QBD is going to be dead content pretty soon. Kites are bound to fall to a very low price. Let's be serious, no one is going to pay 100m or even 10m (in the near future) for a shield that's barely better than a DSQ. The Crossbow pieces will drop as well. No serious boss hunter is going to buy the bow, because a serious boss hunter would use Melee, or a Chaotic Crossbow (at Nex). I can't see the Royal xBow outperforming Chaotic xBow at Nex (not with the "bleeding affect" during the Blood Phase which could cause some complications). As for the rest of the drops, it might reach a value of 400k per kill which requires about 500k in supplies. But once again, not anything i didn't expect.
  15. You're pretty much going to be stuck with Rune Platelegs, Rune Fullhelm and then Green D'Hide Body.
  16. I've only had one boss drop my entire life ;/ Mere you should come Bosshunting with me :|
  17. QBD

Noxx replied to Flareboy64's topic in Help and Advice
I did it using Void + Dragonbane Bolts. Got to say it was really good. I was hitting a lot of 500s and 600s with some 700s thrown in here and there. My hits were constant. It seemed that Ranged was really accurate (but from what i've seen QBD has low Defense anyway). Ranged just made it easier for me because i could stay on the attack while running to avoid the Flame Walls and i could also hit and run the purple things she summoned? I'll probably try using a Steel Titan instead of a Yak next time though.
  18. Had about 10 Brews left in Yak too. This is exactly why i don't waste money on Nex sets or Spirit Shield. EDIT: For those who can't see, it's Void, Swift Gloves and Deflector. Would probably have been better if i used ACP instead, but the double bolt spec every now and then did help a bit. Had 700 700 as one of my highest hits.
  19. Got the full Lumberjack set within 2 hours from having no items :D I'm happy. It's been a long time goal of mine :P

SoA on Jad is pathetic. You have a much higher chance of killing him faster using prayer deflections (exaggeration). But really, SoA on Jad is really bad. Out of the ~ 20 Kilns ive done using SoA (thats 140 Jads) on my main, about another 8 on my Pure with Barrage (thats another 40 odd) plus 20+ Fight Caves i've found mage to be terrible. Horrible. You're better off using Melee > Ranged > Mage. Using Claws against 360's should cause no issue unless you're not using a mouse to play. Spec them from a 2-3 square distance and spam click the a spot 2-3 squares away soon as you see the exp drop. Can't mess that up, really. EDIT: Should mention that the only time i found SoA to be better than Melee vs. Jad was with the Magic Crystal from the Kiln, but sadly that's only The Kiln. do curses still work there? I thought they fixed that I'm not sure about that, but i was just using it as an example.
