Perhaps no one else will tell you this, but hybrid fights are pretty much dead at all combat levels. Yeah i realise this as well, which is why i am getting Melee up too. There's always one or two people around hybridding, so i'll be able to find a fight now and then inbetween normal pvp.

Going to start working on Quests today. See if i can knock off the ~20 Quests i need for Turmoil and Vengeance in the next few weeks during study breaks. Should be fun. really can't wait to get it done :D

No. There's so many Boxers out there who haven't been cleaner and are a far, far way from being cleaned unless they decide to stake ~100b in one go. You can easily make a living off Boxing, and i do mean a living. Many people i know make 3 - 4b a week with great ease.

I need to really clean my laptop, or buy a new one. Tried recording some PK clips today. The first time my laptop rebooted mid fight, because it got too hot. The second time i started lagging so bad that it would not have been a good idea to PK :|

Well one reason i haven't gotten my Str up yet is because it's so damn slow to train relative to Mage/Ranged, but i'm going to work on it before i even consider taking a Melee weapon into the Wilderness. That's another thing that makes Turmoil seem so attractive. It's going to be a huge step up from just using Extremes without any prayers. The Kiln will also become a lot easier. Less prestigious, but i can live with that. I don't really think i plan on doing much Dungeoneering on this account, not any time soon anyway. And if i really need to chances are i'll just buy floors. So it sounds like 40 Def is what i should be thinking about then. Thanks for the swift replies.

Alright so as you can see from my sig, i've got 20 Defense and 52 Prayer. I've been PKing a lot lately, and i'm having a great time. The only problem is, when i created this account i had hopes of doing Hybrid fights. Little did i know that at 80 - 90 Combat, that's pretty much dead. I've really only been doing Ranged fights because that's the only Combat style i can really use, with my Str being so low. So i've been thinking about something for the past while now, and that's getting Turmoil. I'm doing this mainly to gain a few easy/fast Combat levels. The way i calculated it, i will be at more or less 91 or 92 Combat after getting 95 Prayer, 95 Str and ~95 HP. Now the quest's i need to do in order to get Turmoil will put me at about 30 Def (so i've heard, i have not checked this myself) which would then push me up to 93 or 94 Combat. Now, what i'm thinking about is whether or not i should just go ahead and get 40 Def? My aim is to keep my Combat under 100. Meaning the highest i ever want it to go is 99 (for personal reasons). I have no real interest in getting 45 Def for a Zerker since there's not much more benefit than 40 Def. But 40 Def over 30 Def seems to have quite a few Pro's and very few cons. For example Rune gives a lot better defense over Addy (maybe not a lot, but it's noticeable), Rune Boots and Rune Defender, etc. which will have a lot of benefits when it comes to PvM as well. But my real concern, since it's not really something i know much about, is how does 30 Def compare to 40 Def when it comes to PvP? Is the 3 combat levels gained worth the items you'll be able to use? Another reason i was considering 40 Def over 30 was for Vengeance. It's pretty much a must have in most PvP Melee fights, and even Ranged fights, when your combat is anywhere from 80+ (assuming you're a tank at lower levels). So, anyone with some knowledge on this mind helping me out a bit? EDIT: Forgot to mention that i don't know if it's really worth getting Attack higher than 60. I've been doing some looking around and it seems that, for the most part, D Scimi does alright in most ~95 Combat Hybrid/Melee fights. And most of the Melee damage done really comes from the Spec. Am i correct in assuming this?

Wait are you contradicting yourself? Where did that come from? I'm confused. Even trioing with forumers is fine. I was just using 4/5man as an example because that's the most popular team size. I could have even said 5/6man. And your last comment. That was just bad. Very bad :thumbdown:

Booked a plane for 5 hours tonight. Not sure where i want to go :| Just looked at the weather radar and there's precipitation/clouds/thunder/bad weather all over the god damn state, which makes flying really difficult :( Might actually not even be able to fly tonight.

Have you actually ever Nex'd with people from the forums? Probably not. You're probably just one of the people who like jumping on the "OMFG RSOF people can't scape" bandwagon. They're actually not bad, a lot of them. I did 90% of my Nexing with random people from the forums. They shared supplies, forgave you if you messed up now and then (most of them actually never really messed up at all), and we has some extremely fast kills as well (like a ~6 minute 4/5 man). Nex is different though, so you can't really use that as an example. People who Nex knows that success is largely dependent on the team so they would always be more willing to share supplies to get the extra kill.

You wanna use a bronze kiteshield. Full bronze. Sec while I do this. Need some gp, or is bronze in your budget?

I believe as gross error it's safe to assume at least 300 exp/chin meaning 29k chins. I recently went from 60 - 95 but sadly i did not keep track of the amount of chins i used, but i did however keep track of the last 600k exp i got from 94 - 95. I used just under 2600 chins for that 600k exp using extremes, but since i'm a pure i did not have the ability to use Void which decreased the exp/chin slightly. But like i said you should be safe assuming 300exp/chin.

Not a lot of Scaping will be done this month. I've got exams in 4 weeks and i need tomstudy my ass off while trying to fly 10 or so hours a week. It's going to be insane. As it is ive got a 4 hour flight today and 6 hours on sunday. Might try and do another 4 hours on thursday too :D Going to try get in a kiln attempt here and there.

Completely. It happens to me all the time. Sometimes a friend is more understanding that a boyfriend, so they'd rather call you than him. IMO that's the ultimate friend zone. Get used to it, it's not changing any time soon :\

Why play a game when you're not going to pay attention to it? Do you enter a game of COD and sit there holding your finger on the trigger while watching TV hoping someone would run into your line of fire? No. You actively participate in the game. Same concept should apply here. People are no longer "playing" the game, they are simply rewarded with exp for logging on the Runescape. Unlike firemaking, playing COD is what some people might classify as "fun", and people can play it whenever they feel like it without paying a cent. Runescape has a subscription fee, and for that people force themselves to make their money's worth in gametime, even when it means they are merely performing boring, repetitive tasks. COD needs to be purchased, RS does not. There's your $6/m divided up into nearly 12 months. Your argument is invalid.
