Well i got a date with the girl. Going out for dinner tonight. Not sure why i'm this nervous :|

Yeah i have a pretty wicked fever at the moment. Was shivering like it's sub zero outside, when it's probably in the high 20's/low 30's. I'm a [bleep]ing idiot.

Went to beach. Forgot sunblock. Now i'm read as a lobster. Can't sleep. Whole body hurts.

Spent pretty much the whole day talking to her by text. Wanted to call her but thought i'd stick to text for now. She told me she wants to hang out soon "if i'd like". Sounds like something i would say haha. Asked me when i am and am not free, etc. She seems eager :P Not sure if that's good or bad but for now i'll take it as good. Not sure exactly when i should see her though. Tomorrow too soon?

Pretty happy about tonight. Me and some mates went out. Like always, i was really only there to have a few beers, relax, unwind and look at people. I very much enjoy looking at people. The way they act, what they do, etc. So anyway, right as i walk through the door i spot a group of 3 girls. I made eye-contact with one of them, She was cute. Wearing a dress with cowboy boots and a purse thingy around the shoulder. She looked me right in the eyes, and i looked back. I made nothing of this. For about the next hour we kept on making eye contact. Even my friends noticed that she seemed to keep looking at me. We played this game for a few more minutes. My friends kept on pressuring me to go over there and talk to her. It was a pretty scary thought for me. I'm foreign, my accent isn't exactly a cute one, i often find myself in a situation where i have no idea what to say. So anyway. I spot my chance. She's sitting on a chair by the bar, pretty much alone. We make eye contact again. I decide, [bleep] this. It's time. So i put my beer down (it was still half full -.-) and i walk over to the bar. I squeeze in next to her and some person that was standing close by her. I brush my arm against hers (by accident of course [not really]), look over to her and said "I'm so sorry". She smiled at me, said it was fine. I asked her how she was doing, "you look bored, sitting here by yourself". I have to admit, not the best opening line but it worked just fine. We started talking a bit and she told me she was going to go outside on the pier thing and talk to her friends "get your drink and come join us". So i did. I bought a drink, went outside and talked to her a bit more till she had to go. She asked me for my number, and she ended up giving me hers instead. Pretty happy with this. She's really cute. Not only that, but i actually got a girl's number without anyone else having to say anything, wingman me, or anything :D Friday the 13th, baby :thumbup:

I'm sorry if this has already been discussed or answered somewhere else in this thread. I tried working my way through as much of this as I could but I did not come up with an answer I really wanted. Basically, I've been taking a bit of a break from all things RS for a couple of weeks now. I've been lurking a bit here and there but I've not really made it a priority to keep updated with the new combat system. What I'd like to know is how different the armor is In the beta compared to now? Is Torva still best, followed by Bandos, Barrows, etc? If so, how much better? The reason for my asking is because I am most likely to be away from RS for a few more weeks and when I return I'm hoping to already have whatever is best. Also, will the new cb update affect any of the prices? Will things like Ne gear go up or down? How about spirit shields? Boots? And does anyone know how DG is going to be affected? Before I started my break from RS I was working towards 120, slowly. Will the update affect the exp rates? If so, how? If any of this has been answered I a previous post, no need to answer again. Just point me to the right page.

I'm thinking about prestiging butttt i want to find out something before i do. I just recently got my Gold PM9 and it's super sexy. I really, really love this gun, even more so now that it's nice and shiny and gold. Anyway, if i prestige i lose everything just like in BO right? But will this reset EVERYTHING as in reset my weapon's levels as well? Because i really don't want to lose the Gold camo on my PM9, and i really don't want to play with it ALL the time. I kind of want to work on getting a Gold AA12 now.

Well i'm pretty much back to where i started now. A few weeks ago i went back home for a short visit/holiday. Now about a week before i left me and the French girl kind of decided to call it quits. We saw very little of each other the 2 or 3 weeks prior to our decision, due to very different schedules. It was also pretty hard for us to actually go out and do something because i realized she was much more of a dinner and a movie kind of girl as apposed to a "let's go out and dance" kind of girl. I'm more of a "lets go out and dance" kind of guy myself. i hate the cinema, and i think in the past 3 years i've been there no more than 3 times. So it started causing a bit of conflict between the two of us. Stupid, i know. But anyway. About two days after she and i called it quits, we went out (me and my mates). This was about 40 hours before i had a flight back home. We went to some club, and late that night we met a group of girls. The one seemed to look at me pretty much the whole time (before we actually went up and talked to them). Now i'm a very oblivious guy and i always seem to make up excuses as to why someone might be doing something. So i figured, maybe she was just looking at me because i reminded her of someone, maybe she liked the shirt i was wearing, or what ever. I didn't really care too much as my plan was not to go there and meet girls, but rather to have a good time with my friends before leaving them for 3 weeks. Well anyway, as the night continued eventually my friend told me that he thinks she's into me, and i should go talk to her. So i did. I was pretty nervous at first, it was hard to hear her over the loud music, so i asked her to join me outside, where the music isn't so loud. So we went outside and we talked. About 5 minutes later my housemate came outside as well, to have a cigarette. Now hes a much more outgoing guy than me, he talks to who he wants when he wants. He kind of took over the conversation i had with this girl, thinking he's helping me out. At that time i can pretty much say that i had things under control. I was getting where i needed to get. So after standing there for about 5 minutes, not saying a word, i kind of got pissed off, and went back inside to the other guys. I continued shaking it it the dance floor for another 15 minutes or so till everyone decided to go out for a smoke, and i joined them. My housemate, who was talking to the girl, came over to me at that time (the girls was sitting on a chair outside, not far from where we were standing) and told me to go talk to her. I told him that i couldn't be asked anymore. He was confused as to why i said that, and i explained to him that he pretty much cockblocked me like crazy. He could not understand it. He kept on trying to force me to go talk to her and i refused. I was over it. I could not be asked any more. I was pissed off and just wanted to chill out. So what he does next made me really angry. He took me by the arm, and called over the girl. I tried jerking away but he held firm. She came over and asked what's up. Then the shit hit the fan. He told her that i was to shy to go talk to her, so now he's going to help me out and initiate a conversation. When he said that i felt like a [bleep]ing moron. Seriously? Anyway, i told her that i was sorry about what just happened, i think my housemate is drunk (which he actually was). We talked for a bit and then she told me she's going to give me her number and i can call her sometime, or something. she left maybe 10 minutes after that. Okay so i got her number. Cool. Not really. I'm leaving in like 30 hours for 3 weeks. That gives me 30 hours to actually talk to her. I sent her a text about 10 minutes after she left the club, saying something jokingly. I know a lot of guys follow the 72 hour rule, but i think it's pretty bullshit. i always think it's better to remind her who you are before she goes to bed rather than send her a message 3 days later and have her wondering who you are. Anyway, she sent something back, and it went back and forth for 2 or 3 texts at which point i pretty much fell asleep in the back seat of the car (we were on our way back home now too). The next day i sent her a text, saying sorry for not replying, blah blah. She then asked me a few more personal questions which was not covered in our conversation the night before, such as where exactly i'm from, what do i do for fun, etc. It seemed to be a good thing because it sounded like she wanted to get to know me. I then told her that it was pretty bad timing that i had met her on that night, because i was leaving for 3 weeks. We seemed to hit it off pretty well. I asked her what she was doing later that night, maybe me and my friends could meet up with her and her friends somewhere. She didn't reply until the next morning, at which time i was already on the airport. Right about then i just could not be asked anymore, so i sent her a text saying i was about to get on the plane so my number is going to be "out of service" for the next 3 weeks or so, so i guess i'll talk to her when i get back. Nowwwww, i sent her a text about 4 or 5 days after i got back after seeing something that reminded me about a joke she made that night. She asked me how i was doing etc, etc. The usual shit. We talked for about an hour and a half and then the conversation died out. I figured now would be as good a time as any and i told her that maybe we should get together some time and "catch up". This was yesterday i think. She didn't reply. Now i can only take this as a bad thing. When we were talking she gave no indication for me to [bleep] off and leave her alone. She seemed pretty interested, in conversing with me. She never seemed to try and cut the conversation short, in fact she almost seemed to want to keep it going at times. It's a bit confusing. So basically, after writing half a book on what happened the last month of my life i ask one simple (maybe not really so simple) question. What do i do now? I don't want to keep texting her, and start looking like some creepy guy. But i don't want to stop texting her either, because we seem to get on pretty alright. I don't want to come across as needy and clingy before anything even has a chance to start, but i don't want to cut off all ties before giving it a chance either. Confused. That is what i am.

The first 4 pieces i got pretty much within a day or two of free/daily spins. It has now been maybe a month (or more) and i'm yet to get the last piece -.-

He'd be better off using a Unicorn as any other Cb Familiars are a waste of time. Also it would be much better to use a Defender and something like a Mages' book over a Divine/Elysian. You really don't need much Defense when doing the Kiln. Divine is just silly.

Try the MP7, bit lower firing rate but you can hit anything you see. Will once i unlock it :P Picked up a few today, and ihave to be honest but i really disliked it. I don't know why. Maybe it's the fact that it's not 1 handed. Maybe it's the fact that every second killcam i see has one in it. But all in all the PM9 just has a much better feel for me. I hardly ever have to ADS when using it, which is something i love. Rapid Fire + Extended Mags just makes me feel like i'm unstopable. Also on a different note, i ran into someone names Heart of Guthix today :P

Well i realized today that only way for me to get 4bar connection 90% of the time is by playing TDM. It's pretty alright. Managed to have a few really good games :D Fell inlove with the PM9. It's a petty decent gun aside from the fact that i have to duck and run from anything longrange :P Along with SoH and Steady Aim, it's pretty deadly close - medium range.

over 1k kills with the AA12, i run the skorpion secondaries with it and i have 3k+ kills with those. Just to give you an idea how bad the AA12 is lol. i guess it's a decent alternative to the pump actions but it's range is just so bad by default Yeah i pretty much use it as a secondary now, on one of my classes where i use overkill. On a different note, does anyone know if it's possible to set my matchmaking so it matches me with people from countries around mine more often? I actually manage to get 4 bars the few times it does. I'm getting bit tired of getting shot out of nowhere/through corners/around corners/etc.

Finally started playing MW3 today. Love it. Isuck pretty bad at fps games and to make it worse i have constant 2 bar connections but still having a ton of fun. I realised that id often lose gunfights cause of my connection so i decided to rock the AA12 or whatever its called and ive had a few good games with it. Good way to spend a 2 week holiday :D

The problem is not the amount of crashers. On a non LS world it's not going to matter if there's 1 or 10. It's the fact that you cannot make a stupid statement like "my gear is better so i'll get 95% of the kills". That's utterly stupid and just plain wrong. Crashers can speed up your kills, yes. But it's going to have to be a level 120 wearing Rune and Dhide (or even if he were to wear Bandos). But that is just not the fact. A level 120 is not going to try and crash someone who's 135+. A 135+ is going to do that instead. And now let's be realistic. What do most crashers wear? Bandos. They are not bothered about taking hits because they know that 2 people in that room is going to take away a lot of the damage he would have takes had he been on his own. So they're most likely going to bring a Steel Titan or Unicorn. This means they'll spend less time on lower stats (since brews reduce stats, even if just for a few seconds), meaning they'll be able to do a lot of damage. A crasher is not going to let you have the first hit, he's going to take it. He wants to you to waste your time and help him. NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND. He'll most likely have more Spec Restores than you can imagine, meaning he'll be able to pull of 2 Specs per Kill. So you're going to have to do the same to be even close to competing. In this event kills are likely to go in his favor more times than not. Now let's look at another scenario where the crasher does not have maxed gear. Lets say he wears average solo gear. Tassests and Gano Top. He's going to have slightly less attack and str bonus than the guy wearing full Bandos. This is such a slight difference that at Bandos it WILL NOT MAKE A DIFFERENCE. I'll also me more than willing to provide proof on this. I'd be more than willing to do ~250 kills wearing non-maxed gear vs a player with maxed gear and prove that i'll get a big enough amount of kills to make Bandos terrible money. And i have not even mentioned Dreadnips yet. Those can make a difference too. The problem i'm seeing is that Powerfrog is being too idealistic. He's assuming the crasher is some lvl 130 with Dragonhide and 90 melees. He's assuming the crasher does not have overloads nor spec restores. He's assuming the crasher is bothered by being inefficient. That is as far from realism as can be. Like i have said before (more than once, im sure), a crasher is going to have Maxed or close to Maxed gear, so he'll be willing to take on anyone with Maxed or close to Maxed gear because he knows at the end of the day he's going to get enough kills to make it worth his while, which is most likely going to be anywhere from 50%of the kills to 30% of the kills.

I've seen a few frustrated players like this that have hopped several times to maxed players end up attempting to crash me, but it's incredibly rare and only ever occurs at peak times. I imagine it would be even less likely in torva. My experiences are mostly based on off peak hour trips, so there may be more of an issue with crashing than I've portrayed if you play at those times. (But again, frosts and even glacors are also packed at these times) Now you're just grasping at air... Someone with low levels and terrible gear crashing? Come on, use your brain god damn. Who ever said a lvl 100 with Dhide is going to crash anyone? Or try for that matter. You're making this a ridiculous discussion with your remarks. Once again, i suggest you misinform people because right now it's getting too much. CharliBrown (Blind_Auror) and i used to do a lot of Duo Bandos. We pretty much always had similar gear, sometimes i would use Karil Top (this was before Gano) and i pretty much always got the majority of the kills. If someone has gear even close to what you're wearing, they're going to give you a tough time. I have said this i don't even know how many times, and i'll say it until you admit that you're lying about your information. I don't even understand what you're thinking saying this because we all know that the problem is not the level 120 logging in and staying for a kill or two, it's the level 135+. As for the two things i bolded, can you please provide some proof on this? Or i will have to assume that once again, you're pulling numbers out of thin air and thus giving misinformation.

Less people attempt to crash a maxed player in max strength gear than you think. (I've crashed before. If i see a guy in torva+tokhaar+cmaul I'll hop to find a noob or tank gear.) Also i wasn't exaggerating when i said 90%, in fact i was probably being a little conservative, you simply don't lose kills to anyone dumb enough to crash you. (You would lose more often to another maxed player, but most experienced maxed crashers are smart enough to find easier targets) As i said, the faster kill speed pays for the very few lost kills. Sometimes i'm not sure where you get your "statistics" from, but to be frank it sounds like horse shit. Anyone can crash anyone, especially at Bandos. You can get a guy with Bandos Tassests, Karils Top (or Gano, or whatever people use there now), Dragon Boots, Fury and a DFS and a Fire Cape successfully crashing someone with Bandos, Steads, Imbued Rings, Tokhaar, the works. Of course they're not going to get every kill, but they will get pretty much the same amount as you do in the long run. I don't understand how you can get away with posting misinformation so many times now, but i highly suggest that you stop making up these ridiculous figures in the future and actually do some research or test it yourself (and provide some god damn proof), before you post utter insanely ridiculous information. WHO CRASHES MAXED GEAR OTHER THAN COMPETITIVE PVP CLANS? I'm basing this all from personal experience (Of 1000+ solo graardor kills). The average person that crashes me is someone hugely unexperienced in crappy gear that lets me get the first hit. I do not get crashed by maxed players, it happened a lot as a lower level but has never happened since about 135 combat (at which point had max gear -torva) because that's what crashers do, pick on low leveled undergeared players while avoiding maxed players. Go try it yourself for a few 1000 kills before you blindly state that I'm wrong and demand impossible to obtain "proof". To shut you up and let this thread continue in the path it should I'll state that nothing i have said is 100% proven fact, it's all based on my experience. In my experience, bandos solo is better money than killing frost dragons. In their inexperience, omg there are 30 maxed crashers on every world just waiting for you and +78 strength claws are equal to +96 strength claws. :rolleyes: Edit: Kill stealers at frost dragons are much more of an issue than bandos crashers. :P Proof please. Until proof is provided i will assume that you sucked on your thumb to get a few figures. I can easily say that in my experience i've been crashed, or someone has attempted to crash me 99 times out of a 100 times at Bandos while i was wearing Torva, etc. Since there is no proof to prove me wrong, everyone has to assume i'm speaking the truth. Or at least that's what you're getting at. With your overall melee exp of ~37.5m vs my ~126m i can also easily say that i have at least 3 times more experience at Bandos than you do, if not more (which i would be willing to bet i do), i can once again say that your figures are false and you should not misinform people about rates (on anything). Please stick to things you can provide proof on. Claws does a lot of damage, i agree. But who doesn't have a pair of claws anymore these days? If someone is going to crash you at Bandos, whether you are in maxed gear or not, they're going to have claws and they're going to steal kills and they're going to slow you down and they're going to make Bandos as inefficient at picking flax. Now i think that nothing more should be said on this matter, on your part, because your misinformation is against posting rules.

94 Range AND Mage along with 74 Def and Prayer should be more than enough to get you through it without any hassel. But you're going to need both mage and ranged as just ranging the Kiln will be extremely hard and take forever, even with maxed stats and the best gear. Estimate how long what would take you? The Kiln or training? Training can take as little as 2 weeks provided you have the money to burn. With those stats the Kiln should take no longer than 90 minutes.

Since SoF released the option to buy spins, so many (and i cannot even count half of them on my fingers and toes) youtubers did what you did. "I'm going to buy spins and see what i get so you don't have to waste money seeing if it's worth it or not". Truth of the matter is, they were just too chicken shit to admit that they bought spins because THEY wanted to. THEY wanted to test their luck. Any person with half a brain knows that. Now, you posting this topic, saying you did this in the name of science is an insult. It is an insult not only to any person that reads this, but an insult to yourself. You're insulting us by feeding us some bullshit story and then hoping we would believe it. You're insulting yourself by thinking it was actually going to work. The TIF community has a very big hate for the SoF, and if anyone has not realised it by now then i suspect something serious might be wrong with them. I'm sure people would have had way less of an issue if you did not lie about why you bought the spins. In fact, i'm certain that posts would not have been so aggressive had you been honest.

Afrikaans is my native language. English second. People are often shocked when i tell them it's not my first language. Says i speak it like it's my first, but just with an accent. I can speak some Arabic, but really not much. I think in the language i am currently speaking in, but i think that's obvious. I think it's going to be really hard thinking in Afrikaans and then speaking/typing in english. In class it is the same. When i look at certain problems (be they math of theory) i think in english. The only time i really think in afrikaans is when i'm by myself, outside, having a cigarette and i'm trying to think of a way to break up my workload (studies). That's like an hour each day :P

Yeah, i run around maging everything i see. I'm pretty sure i did mention i only mage things that are weaker to mage than melee. Perhaps you did not read that? I even went to confirm that what i was maging was infect weaker to make than it was to melee (which it was, and i even found 2 more things i can mage over melee). And i don't think i've crafted any runes (except for the laws/cosmic at the start) for the last 10 or 12 floors i did. Started looting elementals wherever i can. I also don't get how not having a defensive bind can be seen as inefficient. If i manage to stay alive without it, and not slow my self down, then i don't see why i need to have a defensive bind. It would make much more sense maximizing dps then. There's a reason i have Soul Split. I also have a PBA now, got it yesterday.
