  1. Welcome back! I hope you have more luck and enjoy RS3 a little more :). Make sure to set JAG and other security up so that your account won't be hijacked. If you need any help, post in Help & Advice or feel free to PM me and we'll do our best.
  2. Firstly about the audio-I had quite a different experience! It did have a second or two of static once in a great while in Dungeoneering, but when training at other locations (for example hours of firemaking/cooking at the Grand Exchange) I didn't notice any of that. What were you doing/what were you training? And regarding the NIS, yes I loved all the customization too but..it's not like it took a genius to come up with the idea. It's essentially adding a resize option to everything plus adding a whole bunch of hotkeys. While I admire all the technical work that the developers surely had to do to make it all work (and keep in mind it didn't work perfectly at first on the live game either), it's not really a revolutionary idea. It's similar adding colored text and quotes to RSOF after 10 years: a great convenience, but something that's been readily available in similar places for a long time.
  3. I thought it was going to be a free skill. But fine, I'll just keep training Dungeoneering...
  4. We are working on it, through blood, sweat, and yes, tears (sorry, pun intended).
  5. A friend and I were testing this out, and it seems: -To have your private chat be open to everyone, you need online status set to friends only -To have your private chat be open to only friends, you need to set online status to online. In other words, they're switched. Can anyone confirm this bug, or is it just a few accounts?
  6. So..change clan chat color by clicking the green/orange people icon, then under settings. Click through chatbox??? Split private chat doesn't appear to be possible in the traditional sense anymore. Online status sets...something? Thanks for all the help...not ;p.
  7. My cache is fully loaded and I relogged. Now where's my action bar? ;p
  8. I didn't get disconnected. Lucky me I guess :P.
  9. How do I change the chat color of various chats? How do I make a "click-through" chatbox like before? How do I make private appear above the chatbox (if that's still possible)? "Online status" and private chat appear to be independent. What do each do? Thanks in advance!
  10. Jagex have used third party's to email accounts at least once on their behalf. As a mass email? And asking people to log in from a link?
  11. With RuneScape being lagging and kicking a whole bunch of people offline almost once a day, this is getting a bit silly. Although so far, I've had the good fortune not to be affected *knock on wood*.
  12. The ISP/IP when you created the account, as well as the earliest passwords you can remember would be critical. If in addition you can remember recovery questions, submit that too in case you have had the good fortune that it had never been hacked. Also, avoid saying "our account" in your email. Use first person, whether it's you or your brother writing the actual email. A human is going to read that email and it could indicate to Jagex that you were sharing the account, which could make them less likely to return it to you for a number of reasons. One would hate to see you unable to get it back due to a misunderstanding like that.
  13. I would send an email to [email protected]. Explain what happened, when you created the account, last 4 digits of credit card/other info. I wish you the best of luck but you may have to wait several weeks for a reply.
  14. I think that's mainly a staff job but I'm sure they appreciate the offer :).
  15. I can tell you that if the beta had been available for F2P, they would have had at least one more beta tester ;).
  16. I'd like to encourage people to apply and wish you all good luck. Hopefully we'll be seeing a few new faces in the near future =).
  17. Well that looks much better than the last report. So if you want to keep playing RuneScape, good news!
  18. If the prices are out of date it might be a coding issue that they need to look into. In the meantime, if the prices are out of date, you can try a different website (i.e. http://merchanting.geupdate.com/herblore.php). They seem to have correct prices and have cost per xp for various things you can just do some quick math to get it.
  19. Welcome to TIF, hope you enjoy it here!
  20. 1. You should probably start off with some basic quests like The Blood Pact, which can get you a little xp, and can also give you access to an area (Lumbridge catacombs) where you can kill a lot of low level monsters. I haven't trained as a low level in a long time, but there seems to be a variety of levels there so you should be fine for a bit. 2. A good way to start off is by earning some one-off rewards. For example, some quests will yield a little money, the Stronghold of Security, Stronghold of Player Safety, completing tasks, etc. After that you can train your stats such as woodcutting, fishing, and mining, and gather resources to make money. You can also pursue more unorthodox methods like killing guards in Varrock for grapes (which they drop occasionally), gathering red spider's eggs in Varrock sewer (not recommended for low levels), filling vials with water, etc. 3. I can't remember any recent minigames added to F2P, with the except of Runespan. Runespan is now by far the most efficient way to train the Runecrafting skill in F2P and is self-contained, meaning you don't need to bring anything but you won't make any money either. The graphics are nice there, but as usual it becomes repetitive training at some point. Minigames list Fist of Guthix are still around, but with heavily reduced traffic. 4. Yes, there is a side-quest there, and you'll receive a little cash for completing it. Aside from the two strongholds and Witch's potion, they all seem to be P2P, though. 5. You can get the title 'The Real' by registering and validating an email for your account. There's also 'The Stuffed' under the customization interface (the button furthest to the right at the bottom of the 'Worn Equipment' tab. It was added for everyone last Thanksgiving after they ran a poll (it was one of my suggestions, in fact) for what title to give. There was a promotion in the past giving all accounts 200 runecoins but unfortunately that's expired. You can still pick up 'The Thrifty' for free at Solomon's, though, so pay it a visit if you can. There's also a few unlocked by doing the Rune Mysteries (the Blue, Red, Green, Gray). I think that covers all of them. 6. Sure but I could go on forever... :P.
  21. Welcome to TIF! If you can turn your private on in-game, I'll add you and I'd be happy to message you and give any advice you might need. I am in a mixed F2P/P2P clan and we'd love to have you come hang out with us :).
  22. In case anyone is wondering, 37,224 xp seems to be the exact amount to obtain level 40 from scratch.
  23. Greetings! Now if only we could find the mustard..
  24. Congratulations! :)
