  2. I'm curious, how many hours does CrystalFarm need?
  3. Zarfot #1
  4. That's wrong though, shared xp on would make Suomi get less wc xp himself
  5. Whoever coded the website forgot to account for overflows, brilliant
  6. He's in TMOA. What does that have to do with 200m all skills?
  7. Suppose I wanted to get a specific person's IP Address on these forums, I could just host an image on a webserver I own and PM it to them or something equally simple. Images should be whitelisted.
  8. People who don't know a whole lot about hardware and computer performance providing evidence that their overpriced prebuilt (costing thousands...) doesn't perform adequately aren't really reliable though. I do not know of a single case where a user has had an ACTUAL high-end system and had FPS issues with correct drivers and settings. My assumptions are perfectly correct, too. I've seen people wondering why their '6-core 16gb ram 1tb hdd' systems are running like utter shit, completely ignoring the fact their computer came bundled with a piss-poor graphics card and a high price tag along with a shitty single-thread performance from their processor. People wondering why their Core2Duo + 8400M or similar systems not able to comprehend how dated their hardware is, too. On the other hand, I know of no case where someone who actually knew what the hell they were buying hardware wise, custom-built or not, actually has performance issues on modern hardware. Also, your terrible ad hominem attempt at making me look like an idiot won't work, I fix computer issues and don't break shit thank you very [bleep]ing much.
  9. Partial specs are useless, GPU is at least a little useful but telling me how much RAM you have instead of some other more meaningful metric gives me an idea of what level of tech-literacy I'd be dealing with here
  10. Well lucky you. But many people are experiencing FPS issues on very high end specification machines. What specs do you have? As far am I'm aware the issues are not due to lack of RAM or Graphics card power but instead related to specific brands of hardware configurations. In short. gtfo. I think I'd be right to assume you're having FPS issues yourself, care to list your 'very high end' hardware configuration?
  11. Your GPU sucks, mystery solved! As far as FPS goes for every configuration I've tested, textures off is a must, DirectX always gives the best performance and Safe Mode is always awful. A good CPU is pretty much a requirement too, specifically fast individual cores and not the typical tech-illiterate 'more cores is better' kind that prebuilt vendors love so much. Having excessive amounts of memory won't help either, the difference between 4gb and 8gb is non-existent. Same goes for your internet connection, the number of people thinking their connection speed directly affects framerate is shocking.
  12. 200m Attack. Even though it's likely inefficient now?
  13. Calculate how many hours you would save training attack and see if you can gain at least the same amount of summoning xp from rock lobs in that time
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpEQbYMrKvc Made it to the wave before double Jad (2 before the final boss) and then died. I dced in a wave too and lost a tort with brews and restores in it. I would have EASILY gotten the new cape if I didn't lose those brews, gf 10 full brews there.

  16. Gf XP records forever
  17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPY4p6wWOGo This is very expensive (1.5m/h on runes) but quite easily out dpses range in full Armadyl at least. The fact you can use Ganodermic armour over ranging gear means you get hit much less often by both melee and mage attacks too. Subscribe for more :)
  18. I have a 2500k and an agreeably low-tier GT240 and almost all fps issues are CPU-bottlenecked which is, put simply, a joke. There are very few games where a 2500k would be the bottleneck and there's no real reason for Runescape to be one of them considering there are no advanced physics calculations or client-side AI.
  19. Because of the incorrect (or unclear) use of the term, I've seen many people asking if their low fps is because their internet connection is slow. It makes me very sad.
  20. When does it become 'not fun' though? Everybody has a different idea of fun, I'm pretty certain some people would hate crawlercrafting, and one day, might you just wake up and think "Why did I think this was fun?" and quit? Or would you move onto a different skill? Or make a new account? Or *gasp* boss hunt? Random thoughts. Well clearly he's great at making boring things seem fun for months when anyone else would have gave up. (Copied from my youtube to prevent xp waste while [bleep])
  21. Z68 boards will support Ivy Bridge when it's released, that's why I suggested one. EDIT: Whoops Ellac, didn't see your post. Feel free to remove this if you please.
  22. GPU barely matters, I can max RS on my Intel HD 3000. What matters is single core speed; Runescape only runs on a single core which means 6 cores in your case won't help at all, you want the fastest possible cores which are Sandy Bridge/Ivy Bridge. An i3 2100 paired with a 5770 would max Runescape fine, and if anyone reading this is buying I suggest a Z68 chipset to allow upgrading to a 2500k or Ivy Bridge in future. My computer's managed to split it over multiple cores, since I watch it do it. Every once in a while, you can tell its all on one core becuase that one will be near max and the others will all be near idle, but most of the time they balance out, or at least most of them do, and if you look at the cpu usage for Java, its using a lot more resources than any one core is reporting at a given time. How? Jagex has multi-core support disabled. Not sure, I just know that the Java usage is actually more than any one of my cores can handle. 23% usage, which is the processes norm when playing RuneScape, would represent ~4GHz of usage. The individual cores can do 2.9 each, and the highest they run for runescape is ~65% (only one, the others are all lower). Unless the java process itself includes a lot more than just the game, and the game is being put on one core while everything else related to the java process is being run through the others. My laptop shows the same thing on its dual core, where starting the game nearly maxes them both out, not just one. So I'm not sure what their doing, but the extra cores seem to be doing something related to the game. The load on the other cores is the JVM overhead. If you type displayfps in the console ingame and look at the memory usage, the fact it increases then decreases rapidly implies the garbage collector is going to town.

  24. Stop buying Alienware
