Been a busy week, so I didn't play RS much. This is all I really have to show for the past 7 days (week 13 rocks) I'm off work for the holidays on Thursday, so hopefully I'll have more time to finish QC and do some slayer.

Went through MAL's top animes list and found one I hadn't actually heard about sitting at #37: NANA. Read a few reviews and it sounds fairly promising, looks to be pretty drama-heavy but I'm definitely looking forward to it. Episode 1 was great ;o Spastic nana reminds me of the lead from Bokura ga Ita (LOLOL named Nana as well? r.i.p.). I also immediately noticed the OST, which is really one of the most important aspects of any drama anime imo. Josei version of BGI ???

I scape on a laptop that runs Ubuntu 10.04 (yeah I'm too lazy to update etc.) and I'd like to start recording some of my in-game. Any recommendations? Sound isn't too important, but I would like it to be able to capture my cursor.

Just based on observation, rapier beats PPS at kura irons quite noticeably. This is from a tiny sample, but I was using standard melee setup + ovls + turm and some dude was already in the room with 99 magic + max mage + pps + ovls (and when I asked him he said he was using augury o)... he was killing much much slower than I was. I'd be interested in testing on steels though since they have quite a bit higher melee defence; since I do steels now @ ice fort with cannon mage might be even more beneficial so I don't need to run all over the place (character is fat).

I went through a hardstyle phase around late 2009/early 2010 lol, but rly it was more hardcore/gabber. Scott Brown, Neophyte, Endymion, Nosferatu were my favourite DJs at that time.

I guess I'll alternate black demons and glacors then :> For black demons, am I better off setting up cannon, hiding and then doing something else (while ovl'd ofc) so it becomes effectively multi? Hi 200m fletch + I'm already max melee but not 99 ranged. Is this faster charms or should I just stick to meleeing? The cash loss isn't really a huge deal.

After actually having to try in order to successfully crash people on slayer tasks, given that I don't have a steel titan I'd like to just camp something right now to get the charms for 99 summ rather than wait it out with slayer. Yeah camping is somewhat xp waste, but that aside... Max melee, 95 range, 99 magic, 96 prayer, ovls, 91 summ, pretty much have most gear accessible... Where should I camp for the fastest crims/blues and what setup should I use? Also, I haven't tried familiarization yet, but is the best place to camp for 3x different from the best charm dropper normally (can't imagine this to be the case, but who knows...)? TDs, glakkers, CT fiends, soa miths, gano, barraging rock lobs?

Wow, I have to say I envy you. I still remember my first ever month playing p2p, what an experience it was! Now I take being members for granted and have joined all the other moronic ranters [bleep]ing about how bad this game is. I hope you enjoy your time as p2p though, don't take the downers ("RS sucks, just quit" etc. etc.) too seriously. Anyhow, definitely try out as many different quests as you can. They're a great starting place for learning what all the various p2p skills are like what, where everything is (just look at that world map! plenty to explore), and what new items you can play with. As mentioned before, slayer is a good skill to begin with as it helps out with leveling combat as well (and reduces the monotony to some extent). Farming is worth doing as it's a way to get a constant cashflow to build your bank with. There's a lot of content to experience if you've never been p2p; don't rush yourself, I'd say for at least the first month you should just attempt to try out as many things as you can and then stick with something you really liked.

Alright, I've been putting this off for waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long... Going to attempt to get Quest Cape by Monday! ;o I have mainly short and novice quests remaining (I think the longest quest left for me is As a First Resort lol) so it's just a matter of getting them done. Additionally, week 12 of strange rocks is coming up. I only have my farming and rc done right now, so it'll be a long skilling weekend. Next level ups: 95 Range (just over 60k), maybe 108 dg (just over 1m) I also intend to start on Artisan's workshop while I'm doing smithing rocks... 3m xp to go lol. It'd also be nice to rid of some regular comp reqs early since the recent update fixed the Halloween event songs (so now I don't have an excuse for slacking off till November 2012 lol =/) 1. Nice blog! As for juju pots, I'd definitely recommend them (see that 38 herb run? With juju, you'll get 38 from 5 patches on a really really bad day :P start looking forward to constant 45+ :P). If you superheat gold ores (which is great magic xp + smith xp on top of the mining xp you're already getting), and dropping the ores rather than banking, the pots take a lot of stress off your hands. Anyhow, juju mining is samaden + draconics and if you're training hunter in the future, dracs are the best xp in the game already so think of the potion as icing on the cake.
