  1. Fighter torso takes a while to get (and it also requires playing defender which is just an awful experience imo <_< ). I don't recall the time it takes to get 375 pnts in each role, but you could argue that in that time you could be making money towards the superior BCP. Torva also isn't really a realistic option for a lot of players for situations where you need some more defence since it's extremely expensive, although you could probably argue that barrows would be ideal here. If you're at all good at PKing, vesta will cost you more in the long run. About 5 hrs, and that's with beginners on world 6 that have no idea how to BA. Whether or not bcp is a better option now depends on how much you value your time. Torva is only really useful for high end PvM. If you need defence in any slayer task, you either have very low defence, no access to soul split/uni, or you afk so extensively that Runescape actually logs your character out. If you're just doing random bosses for the lulz, I'd argue that barrows is better for the defence if you can't afford torva. If you're at all good at pking, one full usage of a vesta set easily pays itself back. Yeah your profits aren't as high as if you had bandos, but the accuracy bonus is definitely worth it if you often do high risk fights. I'm too lazy to do the exact calculation for determining average $/kill that determines the turnover point between vesta and bcp, but I'd assume it isn't all that unreasonable if you're commonly in hybrid fights risking ahrim's/fury/claws/bandos etc.
  2. I don't always get lost in ISE... but when I get lost in ISE, I get lost in ISE
  3. I'm wondering the exact same thing. For scenarios where defence is trivial, fighter torso will free up that ~17m to let you spend on something else (like buyable skills, or tassets). For scenarios where defence isn't trivial, torva plate is the better alternative. For scenarios where you don't want to risk torva plate (eg pking), why not just wear vesta's and get a little attack bonus while you risk? :P

  7. You solo'd to mid 80s? I commend you sir; I can't solo more than 5 floors at a time before I just get bored out of my mind. GL in DGS by the way.
  8. Complexity has no relation to prestige. Prestige merely refers to the number of floors you checked off on your last reset. It is always best to try to tick off all the floors you have before resetting, as the base xp you get for completing a dungeon is the average between the floor's base and your prestige. As an aside, the term "0 prestige" is used to describe a situation where you are doing a floor in a set that has been entirely finished already (e.g. you have checked off all your frozen floors, and you go to complete floor 2). In such an instance, the xp calculation at the end of a floor is doing with your Prestige set to 0 rather than what it normally would be. This means you are getting noticeably less experience.

Regarding 3 plates only, it's still an fc and they still kick you if you aren't 105+ :<
  11. Just tried dbane at ghorrock steels. The dps difference feels like more than 20%.
  12. WHERE ARE YOUR ARCANE AND RAGEFIRE??? Also, why ardy 4 over god cape? ;o Grats on 99 dg though :P
  13. that might be worth testing. We don't really know how the damage boost from bane ammo works yet. It's roughly a 1.7x boost to damage, slightly more I believe. Like 1.72x or something. Which is a weird number. Maybe something else is going on. Jagex added invisible strength equipment bonuses with goliath gloves. It's not impossible that it might be the same thing going on with bane ammo. In which case it might favor arrows more. I recall Happy did some testing with abyssalbane bolts right after ROTM was released, but I haven't heard about his observations yet. It'd be nice to hear his input on this. In any case, this would definitely be a project I'd like to help in since abyssals are actually quite fun to kill IMO but obviously the efficiency part of me forces me to skip them.

There were probably quite a few guests that didn't even apply. Even the ones that did, well, you have access to the applications page so you can see for yourself just how much effort was put into some of the apps. It's clear that to them, the application process is just some annoying formality that they have to duck under before they can start leeching.
  15. Yes, I bring a 9 way switch to steels just for a korasi spec every 3 minutes. Yes, I range slay steels. No, I cannot afford pernix and no I have not done Dom Tower yet ([bleep] merc gloves yeeeeee). 99 hp is sick though.
  16. They work on metals as well; the other day, I saw a guy at kura steels slaying beside me and he was killing them almost as quickly as me so I asked how he was getting such dps with broads. He then replied that they were dragonbanes. Woah, awesome. Didn't know that. *thinks about collecting stews and spices for dragonbane bolt making* You are a harpy, therefore I will assist you for free whenever I can :P
