Hellhounds in the resource dungeon, with absolute absolute certainty. On a 1600 world in the past I could cannon and max dps that task and would pretty much have to run around the entire room to keep my melee damage constantly going. Just yesterday I was on a 300 pop world with the same setup as always and I never left my cannon. That is literally how fast these little badboys were respawning... I think a 188 task was done in just under 15 minutes, whereas in the past 150 would have taken easily 20-25 minutes.

I always thought soloing all gds was a bad idea because some gds are simply way too rape to do without taking a bunch of deaths. The concept is inherently pretty solid, but that one point certainly sticks out as a sore thumb to me. Could you elaborate on this? Otherwise, nice guide!

First kill of the task I got a champion scroll, second kill I get an effigy, third kill I get another champion scroll... I would like to formally apologize to all those slayers out there that are 20k kills dry on spectre scrolls. That will be the rest of my luck for the next decade, goodbye good fortune, hope we'll meet again one day ...

I've also heard that alternating methods resets the odds, but I don't know about alternating skills. I haven't personally tried alternating skills, though I can say from experience that even switching between barb adv, gnome adv, ape atoll, wildy, gnome basic, barb basic it takes me about 60k xp to get both agility rocks each week.

Assuming maxed stats... what are the fastest ways to get strange rocks in each of the various skills?

I do use row switch at the end of the glacyte stage on every kill. I can count my metal drops on one hand nevertheless (two skirts, one dmace, one bar, one baxe), so I guess I'm just not that lucky. EDIT: Admittedly 4.8m worth in shards does pull some profit though.

Am I supposed to be banking on getting a pair of boots? I logged 2 hours total so far with 78 kills and I haven't even managed to break even on supplies. I do have 20 shards though, any idea what ABS street value is right now?

Not entirely sure what you mean, but there are arrows beside the chat box that you can drag to either expand or compress the number of lines shown (that's how people manage to fill the entire screen with chat in some screenshots you've probably seen).

So I'm nearing max and basically all I have left are buyables, summ in particular is going to take a huge chunk out of my bank and at the moment I want to start planning ahead and look to make money while clearing up what I have already banked. Anyways, I don't mind somewhat slow methods (however, this doesn't mean I'm considering doing frosts...) but anyways I'm still short about ~200m which I'll need to make hopefully in 2 weeks which shouldn't be too bad. Up until now I've been able to take my sweet time making cash as I still had a bunch of resource skills, but now I'm maxed resources I want to make the most of my time. I don't want to have to stress too much and because I still powerslay, I chew through quite a few cbs/ovls/rapier repairs etc. etc. so let's give it about 250m which is still fairly practical. I don't have yak... I know it's a huge detriment to my possibilities, but it is what it is. Otherwise, I'm 99 atk, 96 str, 94 def, 92 ranged, 99 magic, 96 hp, turm, ovls, 83 summ (l0l), gearwise I have bandos, elite void, fury, zerker, rapier, and maul. I do have access to rigour as well and I have the tokens to get a ccb or cstaff. I'd say I have about 50m or so to spend on extra gear and supplies. Barring Do No Evil, I have all the important quests done and I also have access to pretty much every boss. What's some good ways to make money combat-wise? I already do dailies, farm runs, the usual... I've been [cabbage] at merching recently so I just dumped my stack on skills, but I'm looking to buff up my bank in addition to this.

I have yet to run into a task that was not doable in 1 trip even while using fc and bandos. Also, there are no slayer monsters in single that you need to pray against unless you afk train (which honestly I don't recommend for slayer). You have 98 defence, that is more than plenty; I've been tanking tasks since about 85 defence (steels, blacks, irons, miths, waterfiends, wyverns, dark beasts recently) and have never had any problems keeping up (food is unnecessary and wat even are bunyips or unicorns). Wyverns with maul may be a bit challenging, but I haven't tried that myself so no comment there. For multi, you should be cannoning and honestly that makes tasks go by so quickly that even 200+ velds with pray melee on can be done in 1 invo of ppots. Obviously you'll pray mage at spectres, but the task takes ~4 potions anyways. That said, there are a couple tasks which are very very difficult to be done on one inventory of ppots (namely, abyssal demons and dark beasts); however, if you just carry a BoB you'll be okay with 1 trip since combat fams aren't useful on these tasks anyways.

And people have gotten Third-age items from clue scrolls before. Depending on the task, this is not too rare (I've heard of back-to-back effigies from Dark beasts from at least 4 people and back-to-back at 138 crawlers from 2 people)

They're a really slow task if you loot and bank corpses, and they don't drop effigies (unless you're doing vyrewatch)... nor anything of particularly high value for that matter. The only reason I bother with them is for the 500 burns for trimmed comp, though I'm not sure how good vyres are as a task assuming you just rambo through without looting anything. Even on a 1700+ pop world I was killing them quickly enough that I had to wander into mid tier to keep myself constantly attacking.
