DG
Ugh, felt I had to get this off my back… anyways I’m a member of DGS and I don’t have a problem at all with people who have different approaches to dg, nor am I trying to say that I’m a good dger by any stretch of the imagination (because I’m not at all), but something that has particularly pissed me off especially since the 2x weekend is that there a ton of people coming into our CC who are merely leeches. Of course, it was bound to happen, and I don’t think it is the fault of the staff/admins of the clan. In my eyes, it is the responsibility of a dungeoneer to contribute meaningfully to the overall progress of the team. Even if you aren’t that great, like me, at the very least I do try to get better and I try to do as much as I can for the team. The problem of leeching became particularly obvious last weekend, where as a joke I even did a few experiments in CC to try to prove my point that way too many people are starting to use various dg clans’ chats to merely get some easy xp. I noticed the cc had been quiet for a few minutes, despite a very large number of people being present. I advertised “fl+5” (lol) and within 2 seconds this imaginary +5 floor had six people asking to join, so I pointed out that I didn’t quite understand why these six people were just waiting around for somebody to host for them when there was clearly enough interest to start a party. Okay, so you don’t know how to key, that’s fine. I’ll host the floor then. Maybe I don’t understand my clan’s philosophy and policies well enough, but I was always under the impression that people using our cc and joining our floors had to agree to the clan’s rules and guidelines. One of them is that people need to follow the keyer’s instructions. I am not trying to put myself on a high pedestal here, but seriously… All weekend I tolerated people that never talked throughout the entire dungeon, refused to gate doors, people who would just sit and loot every last piece of food in a dungeon for themselves, and people who often would sit at base for minutes on end because they refused to help in a room that they felt was “too dangerous” (such as boss, monolith, ramokee, even some guardian doors). As far as I’m aware, our CC is welcoming to guests who want to improve their dging and learn how to become more effective in their teams. I don’t have any problem with people who don’t know what they are doing, but the sheer number of people this weekend who absolutely and adamantly refused to listen to any advice I humbly offered them was utterly unbelievable. If you don't want to follow the mentality of the clan chat you are in, then stop being disrespectful and misusing it. World 117, 77, and 67 have plenty of people filling floors for dgers of any philosophy. There were 100+ dungeoneers who didn’t even know how to solve basic puzzles (lodes, hunter ferret, skaters, summ puzzle, even people who didn't know to attack skinweaver first in ramo), let alone know the advanced techniques. I try to teach them nicely, and all I get in reply is a sarcastic or troll answer. There were 100+ dungeoneers who sat in base for the entire duration of a boss fight while holding 20+ pieces of food. There were 100+ dungeoneers who already had a plate bind and still decided to use ores that had been mined for ragers to make yet more armour for themselves. Once again, I don’t inherently have a problem with people who aren’t that good or who don’t know how to do a certain thing. However, there are 5 people on a team. If everybody is pulling their weight, why shouldn’t they? Even if they can’t, why don’t they at least try? I’m not going to be mad if it’s obvious you’re trying to get better, but repeatedly doing the same idiotic thing over and over and then giving me attitude about it when I am taking the time to host and key a floor for you is not really a good approach. I get that it’s 2x weekend and everybody wants to survive, but honestly I averaged just over 1 death keying the entire 3 days while dging exactly like I normally do and not paying any attention to intentional survival. Sure, I lose 10%, but people don’t seem to understand the concept that you actually need to attack a boss for it to die. Literally, there were no more than 6 or 7 people in DGS CC hosting floors. I think I speak for weirdoweirdo (cactuar) here in this rant as well; we did a few floors together alternating keying and he expressed to me that he wasn't pleased at all with the amount of survivalist leeches that were flooding the chat. There were at least 3 times as many asking for floors constantly. Fine, you want to be selfish, that’s fine, but don’t make me look the bad guy for telling you to stop leeching (just because you walk out of base doesn’t mean you aren’t a leech) after I repeatedly give these people multiple chances and continue to host floors. Anyways, that’s it for this rant. I know basically 90% of people guesting in dung clan CCs this weekend were just trying to get xp/tokens/chaotics, but I guarantee the same people will continue to dg with the same attitude forever. If any of you fall under this category of leeches, the next time you ask to join one of my floors, at least act like a proper leech, pay me 4m for the floor, leave ggs/keys/food alone, and just sit in ht until I tell you to move. Stop pretending that you are actually doing anything useful for the team, because you aren't. Tl;dr If you want to leech in my floors, I’m charging 4m/fl. Please sit at base and do not loot any table food. Please also watch chat and teleport for emotes/levers/end when I ask for it. Stop running around being an idiot and acting like you are actually contributing anything useful to the team if you aren't willing to help out, improve or pay money.

Viability of dbane @ steels
They work on metals as well; the other day, I saw a guy at kura steels slaying beside me and he was killing them almost as quickly as me so I asked how he was getting such dps with broads. He then replied that they were dragonbanes.

It's not a "free" MMORPG anymore.
Normally I would be a douche and just reply with "lolumad", but honestly I have to agree with you this time (even as a paying member). I remember when I used to enjoy playing RS and I was entirely an f2p player... but when was the last time they released something for f2p that actually looked like there was some consideration for the free players? Don't even try to say that DG is f2p friendly when you can't even make your code stop spawning p2p doors all the time. I get that Jagex is a company and their main goal is to pull in revenue, but they should understand that quite a few of their paying customers started putting down the cash because they enjoyed f2p so much and thought that p2p would be loads better. Sadly, free to play looks exactly the same as it did 6 years ago and well... the rest has already been said. They're really just after money and money alone now; rather than convincing f2pers to pay because of the promise of quality content in p2p, now Jagex is not doing anything but forcing them over. One day, all that remains of f2p will be merely tutorial island...

Viability of dbane @ steels
Alright, I'll play with them for a task (just because I haven't even gotten the chance to try out rigour ever since I bought it) but yeah 20% is way too much. I had hoped it'd be less than 10%, which I would have been okay with given that I may not be rich enough to chincannon to 99 .

Viability of dbane @ steels
My ranged level is fairly crappy and I'll max strength from dg anyways so instead of xp-wasting while I slay... would it be advisable to range-slay steels and irons? Irons in kura, steels @ fort Ranged: 94 ranged, fsh, amulet of ranging, accumulator, ccb, unholy, arma, glaiven, merc gloves, archer (i) vs Melee: 99 atk, 98 strength, cr, ovls, turm, bandos, fsh, zerk (i), fury, dboots, bgloves, ddef, fc Am I losing a considerable amount of speed if I switch to ranged? I don't particularly value xp past 99 right now so the reason I'm trying this is obviously not to overkill my strength (which is bound to happen anyways, but I just want to minimize it). Oh, on another note, is it worth upgrading to steadfast boots right now? Another question regarding ice wyrms: What's the best shield slot item for wyrms? Is CSB actually better than arcane? How would you rank csb, arcane, and fsks on task?

The amount of facial hair I grow in a month is fairly minimal, so I decided to contribute instead by not shaving my pubic hair.

Bossing
I'll give TDs a try, as for glacors I've gone about 450 kills now without any boots drops and even the rune drops have barely made me break even ;f I might try them again after I get a chaotic staff though. Also, you only listed 4 things but speak of the "first two" and "the third" so I'm assuming you meant to include Arma? My question I guess is... how packed is Bandos/Arma these days? Would I be able to hold my own against the average soloer/low level team if I had to crash a world?

Bossing
My pile is now up to ~340m which is the largest pile I've had at a single point in time since I started caring about maxing my buyables. This time though, instead of just immediately dumping it into skills that won't be paying back additional dividends, I've decided to invest half into merching and the other half into gear and supplies for bossing. Thanks to the recent 2x weekend, I have a few more chaotics in my arsenal now. Assume I have 170m to work with... Stats: - Max melee (well, 98 strength) - 98 hp - 94 ranged - 96 pray - 97 herb - 99 mage - 90 summ I can spend some of my charms, but I want to see if I can make a few bucks first before putting cash into summoning. What bosses should I attempt and what kind of gear setups should I use? I'm interested particularly in GWD bosses, but other solid moneymakers are fine as well. Current gear: - full elite void - deflector - all 3 void helms - rapier - cls - maul - ccb - fury - bandos

Dungeoneering - Which way do you prefer?
In pretty much every game I've played (talking about not just computer games, but also rl games and sports), I've always played fast paced. I enjoy dging alongside the really good dungers even though I'm pretty bad myself because I feed off pressure. When I'm in an environment like this, I force myself to go into overdrive and for me personally that makes the game very exciting.
