    1. Barbarian is better past 93 I believe, it's a very marginal xp/hr diff from adv gnome but as mentioned by another poster, the difference adds up quickly. 2. Agility is honestly more boring than RC. Even if you can't put up with BA, the amount of time you save from horn makes getting 99 that much faster and less annoying. If I remember correctly, it took me around 90 hours to get 85-99 bringing in around 120k/hr. This includes the time used to fill horn.
  2. I partly disagree. Bandos should be had until one can reach a level target (70 pray, 95 pray, 84 herb for stewed extremes, 92 herb for stewed ovls, 88 summoning, 96 summoning), at which point selling the bandos is then recommended.
  3. Definitely get a whip as well as a pair of dragon boots. Both of these items are fairly cheap, but very useful. Depending on your cashpile, you can get either (> is used to indicate priority) berserker ring > amulet of fury > bandos tassets > bandos chestplate. A fighter torso is not a bad option if you are willing to put up with Barbarian Assault. Otherwise, use barrows armour as your chest and legs. Effective helmets are neitz (which you may need to quest for, but which is definitely worth the time and effort) and I suppose berserker to some extent, though the former is much better. You should check out the warrior's guild and work towards getting a dragon defender (try the multi-type tokens option, it appears to drop defenders at a much better rate than single tokens). Lastly, completion of Recipe for Disaster grants you access to barrows gloves, which give not only a hefty +12 str bonus but also great accuracy bonuses. This is really worth it, but if you haven't got the stats to finish the quest in its entirety alternatives such as dragon and rune gloves (for completing portions) aren't too bad either. At your level, giant spiders in the barbarian village dungeon aren't a bad place to start. Hope that helps!
  4. I realized I don't have a very clear plan for the end levels of maxing out... these are the stats I haven't maxed yet which I'm not entirely clear how to finish. I should note that I do not value xp past 99. This means that I am saving all effigies if at least one of the pairings is non-maxed, as opposed to my old ways of just trying to open them all as quickly as possible and then using the lamp on thieving (kidding about the thieving bit, of course). - Mining: worth doing HH to get juju pots? Current method is Obsidian golem + horn + urns at LRC, banking. Is LFM faster? I haven't tried it yet. I have 99 smith banked already and I intend to finish it once I buy p2p again, and I don't value xp past 99 so I'd rather not superheat the gold. Of course, as soon as I get 83 summoning the golem will be swapped for a lava titan. - Slayer: I'm not entirely sure what a good setup is right now for block/skip/do... my current block list is wyrms, wyverns, fire giants, aquanites (oops) and I skip LRC, spirit mages, warped torts, terror dogs, and Suqahs. My plan was to narrow my do list down to metals, Jad, WFs, black demons, and cannonables (kalphites, spectres, velds, hounds, greaters) in addition to doing black dragons + blue dragons + dusties until I unlock dark beasts/ice wyrms. What's a good slayer list with my end-goal in mind (effigies will be important for rc, charms important for summoning, and some cash to pay for 99 summ since my bank can only just barely cover my other buyables atm)? - Farming: I am so bad at this skill it isn't even funny. I got 80 while doing Livid Farm for vengegroup, but I am seriously clueless right now. I'm a very forgetful person, as well as being terrible with time in general (I always forget to do dailies/weeklies, I check my MTK at all the wrong times, and the last time I tried to do tree runs I forgot about my patches for a week and a half...). Any advice here on what to plant for best xp while still taking into account money constraints? My initial plan was to just stuff every tree patch with magics and every fruit patch with palms. - RC: What is this I don't even. I set an initial goal of 82 and just gave up at 77. Eventually I'll have to come back to this, but what are some good options I have here? I'd made the decision to just do nats/astrals/ZMI until 85, then drop the skill permanently and use all xp rewards + effigies on it. How long would this take, approximately, and is this even a good approach? Also, how much money would I spend at crawlers assuming the average rate of effigies from using the slayer task listed above until 99 slay? Of course, I'll try my best to get my 30k xp/day from assists going as soon as I get 91. - Summoning: Current method is camping Waterfiends at AC with maul, which has been relatively successful for me with one full charging of the chaotic lasting me from 76-84 banked. I've been making granite lobsters with the crims, and saving the blues for geyser titans. Should I keep doing this and then switch to CT fiends after 95? Also, what familiars should I be making? Cheers
  5. You highlight a pretty important point, I think non-hexers should be encouraged to hunt dinos for hexers, especially if the non-hexer in question has a decent hunter level. Personally, at 70 hunter I find that in many floors I'm actually unable to hunt the majority of dinos (mega/tyranno). It only takes 3 slots (or a minum of one if you dont want to carry needle n thread) to do this and it'll greatly improve the dps of the team as well as potentially saving the keyer a death or two. Obviously hexers should still be hunting dinos but it would definitely help if another team member or two hunted as well. Doesn't making dino armour also require a fairly decent crafting level? brb buying 99 craft
  6. if you can tolerate castle wars and are still intent on camping miths, halos can be a good substitute for neitz.
  7. Monster respawn times depend on the world's current population, which is extremely low for foreign servers. I've found that 1 person can keep an entire half of frosts dungeon occupied by themselves on a 100 pop world. Soon as you put a second person in, your idle time is going to be about the same as that on a regular world =/
  8. It's not a bad cape to have, for the most part it is overshadowed by the fire cape... nevertheless, ardy can be useful if one ever plans to corp. It's nice to work towards long term goals sometimes.
  9. It's obvious that there are still many botters out there. Just because they haven't been banned either, does not make their actions right.
  10. f4 switches to mage, and f2 switches to equipment. Where exactly does the need for third party software come in?
  11. Damn... I could understand this if you had a yak, but seriously, how long does it take you to finish blues? Assume you cram a tort and your inventory full, that's 46 slots and Kuradal often assigns around 180, so that's 4 trips at the least... pretty massive waste of time imo, especially when you could use that time to make better cash using an efficient moneymaker

  13. This gives me hope. Anyhow, congrats and gl maxing your remaining two :D
  14. Don't forget scroll of efficiency, it'll give you a 8% chance of retaining a bar when smithing addy plates.
  15. umg speedy bananas with minus million mod and 2k deaths. Still waiting on proper floors(occ/war, no deaths). Inspiring words of encouragement.
  16. weren't you just praising the beauty of herbicide when used on cannoned Aberrants the other day? :P
  17. I'd normally dissect your argument and present a counterargument in an agreeable and understandable manner but I'm just too what is this I don't even What he means is that he is essentially working towards building up the extremes that would have to be made for his end-goal (overloads) eventually. Your argument regarding super defs at 15 gp/xp would be a superior alternative to the OP's ~20gp/xp extremes method, but only under the premise that untradeable potions have a value of 0. This is something which many people (and I'm assuming the OP) would reject, however.
  18. They can't be set up in CT, Kuradal's, Ancient Cavern, and Slayer Tower. I think that covers the high slayer locations... Cannon basically everything you can... black demons at Taverley, hounds at resource dungeon, dags at lighthouse, spectres in desert dungeon, black dragons (if you don't skip/block) in Evil Chicken's, velds at Meiyerditch, dark beasts at temple of light, strykewyrms if you don't skip/block, Kalphites in the new DNE location, greaters in rev dungeon, Suqahs if you don't block/skip Non cannonables... Metals (should be done in ancient cavern/kura's), Blues (also done in kura's), Abby demons (kura), Dusties (CT), Gargoyles (kura), Nechryaels (chins at CT), Waterfiends (CT/Ancient Cavern), TzHaar (Jad). I understand the above listings show some bias in terms of blocked/skipped tasks (imo: aquanites shouldn't be unlocked, LRC should be blocked after maxed melee, Terror Dogs and Warped Torts skipped/blocked, spirit mages skipped, wyverns blocked, fire giants skipped). If you are interested in any of the above, cannons aren't allowed in GWD or Frem Slayer dungeon. I'm not sure about Tarn's Lair/Sewers since I haven't done those quests. You can cannon wyverns and LRC. I'm unclear about Brimhaven Dungeon, but I suspect cannons can't be set up there.
  19. I don't believe the game card stacks, though I could be wrong when it's with regards to recurring membership. The last time I tried to add membership time using a game card, I still had 2 days left on my account and the activation failed with a message along the lines of "Please cancel your current subscription before activating this card."
  20. Not sure on numbers, but you don't need to wear the headband for the effect to activate
  21. in a nutshell, you're trying to mimic LSP for PvM kills done by a team? I personally don't think the idea is a bad one if the implementation is carefully thought out (natural decay of points, for instance...). I suppose the one fallacy in comparing the two is that LSP is meant to distribute an already obtained drop fairly amongst all that contributed (by dishing out potential) while clues are pure luck. My own stance on the issue is that clues are just a complete waste of time though, and don't pay off at all (elites barely are worth the time investment). On the vein of clue scroll rewards, I think a better solution would be to increase the probability for better rewards while decreasing the drop rates of clues to begin with. Honestly, they're such a common drop that it makes no sense to expect great loot.

Definitely Gnome, I noticed a ~12k xp/hr difference between the two courses when I was doing 80-85 (this is with horn btw) which imo is worth the cost of summers. I continued to do Gnome up until 94 (which was what I was told the 100% success at Adv Barb was, but I've also heard 92... never tested it personally, so no idea).
  23. AZ ape atoll zombie monkeys. Why would you pray protect at AZs?
