General High Level Slayer Questions
Gargoyles are not worth semi afking, let alone doing at all. Bad charms, $, effigies, and xp. How did you manage to contradict yourself in not only the same thread, but also the same page? Absolutely amazing. On topic: Yes, you should fight LRC, since they are excellent melee xp. However, the task is a drudgery and isn't exceptional slayer xp. Don't worry too much about weapon choice, these guys have 0 defence as witnessed by turmoil's final boost. Whip works just beautifully (or rapier if and when you get one). As for gear, personally I'd recommend you give BA a shot. A fighter torso matches the BCP offensively and allows you to keep tassets. There isn't all that much use for defensive bonus in the majority of slayer tasks (since you'll be praying overhead on ones that do damage you hard at least until you get SS and turm). Nevertheless, prior to obtaining this item, it's still better to sell tassets for a fury/zerker/v skirt.

How many overloads for fire cape?
Do you have EEE? If so, don't bother with soul split. Eagle Eye is much more useful, you'll barely need to heal since you're ranging and aren't prone to the damage from possible errors caused by meleeing. You should be overloaded through the whole caves, bring 4 just to be safe (if you run out during Jad, that would suck :S).

Fast ways to fill bank slots
I have about 200 slots I need to fill up. What are good shops I can go to for doing this? I'd prefer not to have to buy too much from the GE since mass buying out of a shop is lots faster than having to type out 200 items.

Just logged in to the game after 2 months...
They now rollback all skills by half, as well as removing a very large chunk of your bank (previously, the punishment was believed to merely be halved cashpile with items untouched, though recently I've heard of cases where cashpile was halved as well as up to 90% of item wealth removed). Sorry to hear about your case OP, unfortunately there's nothing that can be done. Jagex honestly doesn't give a damn about their customers, nor will they even bother correcting any mistakes (their bot detection system is automated, their appeals system is automated, etc. etc.). A friend of mine who was unjustly banned for macroing submitted an appeal that was not read until after the ban had expired. The appeal was accepted but his rolled stats were not restored (nor were any items given back to him).

what to buy
probably a typo, since the OP enquired about zs. Also, isn't tassets > bcp? Torso has the same strength bonus as bcp and defence bonus isn't necessary on the vast majority of tasks.

Dungeonsweepers (DGS) - Huge changes; read first post.
Care to enlighten me then? It seems logical for a keyer to want to maximize apm, seeing as they have the most potential to bottleneck floor times barring emotes/one ways/levers and such. Of course, there's a lot of decision making involved as well, though you are probably already aware that macro also ties into apm to some extent.

I can't really imagine what kind of crazy things are being done in dg that would require 150+ apm...

R.A.T. 5 vs G9X?
never had a RAT5, though I've personally owned a DA (the 3G) for ~3 years now. It's pretty amazing, I don't have any complaints about it at all. The tracking is seamless, feel is fantastic (ergonomics are essentially perfect, the mouse was comfortable with both claw and palm grips), moves well on cloth/rubber/even fiberglass pads, and the click-wheel has notches (24 I believe) which makes MWHEELDOWN and MWHEELUP actions more clean and controlled. I'd give it 10/10 personally, though I'd definitely recommend also getting a decent pad with it. For the first year I used something random from the office and I noticed that the feet of the mouse were worn down pretty quickly :( If you're like me and are really comfortable with cloths, I'd recommend the Goliathus (it's something like 15-20 bucks).

Real life help & advice
Lately, I've been having a lot of qualms and doubts about my future. I realize that I'm still young, but all around me I see these people that look like they've got their lives all planned out and are working diligently towards whatever goals they have. When I take a look at myself, it's apparent that I'm not good at anything, nor have I discovered what I'm truly passionate about. I'm currently in my 2nd year of college studying engineering, but I'm not sure what I'm doing here. I maintain decent grades in school, though I honestly don't enjoy the material. While some of the content taught is "cool", I can't imagine immersing myself in it for the rest of my life. A large part of why I'm even in this major is due to my parents; in high school, I was very antisocial because my mom, dad, and mentors were always forcing me to constantly do homework and to constantly participate in competitions. My father attempted to persuade me that engineering was the best option for me because of "my excellent grades in math and physics", even though it was really because I was made to spend so much time on these subjects that I didn't have any room to explore other fields. Additionally, "it makes big bucks and that's what counts." However, now that I'm at college, it seems a largely bottled up part of me has finally been released. No longer under the strict eyes of my parents, I am free to do as I wish and I have spent my last 2 years trying to figure out what I want to do. My first impression is that the world is absolutely enormous; I feel almost overwhelmed. My second impression is that despite trying several new fields through elective courses, I'm still not particularly sparked by anything (philosophy, history, economics, accounting, literature, chemistry, pure math, sociology). Okay, to cut to the chase, essentially what's happening right now is that I'm seriously considering making a controversially large change in my life's direction. I am considering transferring out of engineering and moving to a music program. When I was a kid, I learned to play the violin and in my early days I thoroughly enjoyed classical music. I studied hard in theory, but my parents (in keeping with their strict and grueling regimes) raised me harshly in the field of practice. I came to hate the instrument, and dropped it completely after 7 years in junior year. It's been 4 years since, and I miss music a lot. I was very immature back then, and lacked the ambition/motivation/drive to achieve my goals. Now that I have grown up a little bit, I am more willing to work hard instead of just collapsing under any sort of pressure. My upbringing was excellent; I should thank my parents for showing me that hard work is the only thing that can bring success (I am not naturally gifted at anything, so I often started everything a step behind a lot of kids) rather than blaming them for "killing" my interest (for lack of a better word). Right now, I guess these are the options I have... - Drop engineering entirely and switch to the music program at my school - Drop engineering entirely and switch to the music program at another school, whether Canadian, American, or overseas - Maintain engineering and attempt a music minor to see whether I still have any chance of pursuing music permanently, then resorting to another option listed the year following - Finish engineering and pursue music in grad school - Finish engineering, pursue engineering in grad school/find an engineering job, and merely keep music as a hobby It's been 4 years, and I don't know where my abilities stand anymore. I simply do not feel any ambition or interest at all in my current major, and life just feels like a long drag towards a piece of paper. In my dreams, option 2 would be ideal, but it seems the least realistic/practical. As previously mentioned, I don't have much else in my life. I'm not really good at anything, so if I drop engineering and my music doesn't work out, I will have nothing left. This is a rather scary prospect. The best option right now in my eyes is to give music a shot as an aside, but my school's music program is tiny and I don't even think we have a violin teacher here. I am considering putting in the effort to travel to a nearby, larger university and consulting the instructor there. I don't really know what my endgoal is. I don't even know whether or not I will be happy having music completely surround my life. Also, will I be able to make enough money to keep myself alive? Jobs are much more limited than in the engineering industry. I think in a perfect world, I would like to either be a travelling soloist or the concertmaster of a large orchestra. I just want to be a part of something wonderful, be able to be a part of incredible music... It seems really hit and miss though, and I'd be lying if I said the thought of all this didn't scare me senseless. Additionally, it seems everybody in music school has done nothing but music since they were 5 and I feel my past experience doesn't stack up. However, isn't that somewhat unfair? I have these dreams, and I want to at least give them a shot, but why is my past limiting me? Or are these just excuses? I really don't know what to do though. The thought of converting to music has been on my mind ever since I came to college, but the security of my program both in the perspective of the next 5 years of my life as well as my future career has kept me in my seat. I guess it's the risk of taking that jump to something that may or may not be better (and may or may not bring colour to my life) versus the safety of a stable and blossoming industry (albeit, in my eyes, dull and uninteresting). Can anybody who is studying in music help me out/provide any experiences or advice that they may have? I would also greatly appreciate any insight on anything I've said from anyone =) I realize I'm still a pretty immature and "lost" kid, but ultimately I want to live my life fully and happily while avoiding doing anything incredibly stupid that could jeopardize my future. Thanks a lot guys, sorry for the huge chunk of text :(

Tieszen - 95 Prayer bought
Which team, if I may ask?

Best way to train prayer?
My construction level is 1, and from what I understand you need a lot of cash to train construction reliably, I have under 100 K in my bank account You can use World 31 Yanille house portal and borrow other people's altars. Since 29-43 is a fairly small exp gap, you should have no trouble consistently finding hosts. Simply stand outside the portal and keep an eye out for people advertising.

Manga/Anime Discussion
Currently about halfway through Nodame Cantabile, though I feel like I'm getting more caught up in the musical aspect of it than the anime/storyline...

Jagex Appeals
I have actually never personally heard of any appeals being successful. In the cases of most of my friends, their appeals all went unread even by the time their suspension was over. This includes a variety of different pleas, ranging from mocking to simple ("wat" "lol" ".", for example) to serious to pleading ("runescape is my life, I'll commit suicide if you don't unban me"... I've heard that in the past, this used to work instantly). I myself have only had 2 suspension appeals (both mutes), both of which were denied.

Mithril Dragon Task
Since miths are assigned in small numbers, I like to do them using max strength... fsh, fury, fire cape, rapier, ddef, bandos, dboots, barrow gloves, zerker ring (imbued if you have it) and simply pray mage/turmoil. Miths can hit pretty hard with their melee attack, so use this method only if you are very comfortable with prayer flash. You will be flashing between soul split and protect mage. You should bring korasi's to spec, 1 ovl, 1 super antifire, and 1-2 prayer pots. Just for safety, bring a few pieces of high level food (monkfish/shark/rocktail) in case you get combo'd. The alternative (which is less click and focus intensive than the above) is to go for mage defence... fsh, fury, fire cape, rapier, ddef, karils top + skirt, dboots, bgloves, zerker ring. In this setup, you pray melee/turmoil. Korasi's as above, flash soul split to heal off the magic damage. EDIT: nvm, just checked your stats and noticed your herb level... remove the ovl/super antifire and bring a superset and dfs > antifire shield rather than a ddef. Without the defence boost from ovl, I think karil's is actually a better option than bandos. I'm not completely sure about this though, as I've always ovl'd at miths.

Effigies
Aren't crawlers only fast effigies near max melee/summoning? Sorry? Yes, being maxed and having high level summoning monster obviously makes cave crawlers even faster. I don't think that anything else is faster for gathering effigies even if you are a mere level 60, therefore, I don't understand the meaning of your post. :P Besides, cannon does most of the work anyway, which means that having maxed melee stats is less of a factor even more so. According to Vex's spectacular guide, only 25% of the damage is inflicted by melee based attacks. Ah okay, I've not actually tried crawlers myself so I'm not sure how much damage is inflicted by titan/melee. I merely thought that at lower levels, cannoning black demons in Taverley was a better idea.

Agility
1. Barbarian is better past 93 I believe, it's a very marginal xp/hr diff from adv gnome but as mentioned by another poster, the difference adds up quickly. 2. Agility is honestly more boring than RC. Even if you can't put up with BA, the amount of time you save from horn makes getting 99 that much faster and less annoying. If I remember correctly, it took me around 90 hours to get 85-99 bringing in around 120k/hr. This includes the time used to fill horn.

Need Training/Armor Help
I partly disagree. Bandos should be had until one can reach a level target (70 pray, 95 pray, 84 herb for stewed extremes, 92 herb for stewed ovls, 88 summoning, 96 summoning), at which point selling the bandos is then recommended.

Need Training/Armor Help
Definitely get a whip as well as a pair of dragon boots. Both of these items are fairly cheap, but very useful. Depending on your cashpile, you can get either (> is used to indicate priority) berserker ring > amulet of fury > bandos tassets > bandos chestplate. A fighter torso is not a bad option if you are willing to put up with Barbarian Assault. Otherwise, use barrows armour as your chest and legs. Effective helmets are neitz (which you may need to quest for, but which is definitely worth the time and effort) and I suppose berserker to some extent, though the former is much better. You should check out the warrior's guild and work towards getting a dragon defender (try the multi-type tokens option, it appears to drop defenders at a much better rate than single tokens). Lastly, completion of Recipe for Disaster grants you access to barrows gloves, which give not only a hefty +12 str bonus but also great accuracy bonuses. This is really worth it, but if you haven't got the stats to finish the quest in its entirety alternatives such as dragon and rune gloves (for completing portions) aren't too bad either. At your level, giant spiders in the barbarian village dungeon aren't a bad place to start. Hope that helps!

Road to max
I realized I don't have a very clear plan for the end levels of maxing out... these are the stats I haven't maxed yet which I'm not entirely clear how to finish. I should note that I do not value xp past 99. This means that I am saving all effigies if at least one of the pairings is non-maxed, as opposed to my old ways of just trying to open them all as quickly as possible and then using the lamp on thieving (kidding about the thieving bit, of course). - Mining: worth doing HH to get juju pots? Current method is Obsidian golem + horn + urns at LRC, banking. Is LFM faster? I haven't tried it yet. I have 99 smith banked already and I intend to finish it once I buy p2p again, and I don't value xp past 99 so I'd rather not superheat the gold. Of course, as soon as I get 83 summoning the golem will be swapped for a lava titan. - Slayer: I'm not entirely sure what a good setup is right now for block/skip/do... my current block list is wyrms, wyverns, fire giants, aquanites (oops) and I skip LRC, spirit mages, warped torts, terror dogs, and Suqahs. My plan was to narrow my do list down to metals, Jad, WFs, black demons, and cannonables (kalphites, spectres, velds, hounds, greaters) in addition to doing black dragons + blue dragons + dusties until I unlock dark beasts/ice wyrms. What's a good slayer list with my end-goal in mind (effigies will be important for rc, charms important for summoning, and some cash to pay for 99 summ since my bank can only just barely cover my other buyables atm)? - Farming: I am so bad at this skill it isn't even funny. I got 80 while doing Livid Farm for vengegroup, but I am seriously clueless right now. I'm a very forgetful person, as well as being terrible with time in general (I always forget to do dailies/weeklies, I check my MTK at all the wrong times, and the last time I tried to do tree runs I forgot about my patches for a week and a half...). Any advice here on what to plant for best xp while still taking into account money constraints? My initial plan was to just stuff every tree patch with magics and every fruit patch with palms. - RC: What is this I don't even. I set an initial goal of 82 and just gave up at 77. Eventually I'll have to come back to this, but what are some good options I have here? I'd made the decision to just do nats/astrals/ZMI until 85, then drop the skill permanently and use all xp rewards + effigies on it. How long would this take, approximately, and is this even a good approach? Also, how much money would I spend at crawlers assuming the average rate of effigies from using the slayer task listed above until 99 slay? Of course, I'll try my best to get my 30k xp/day from assists going as soon as I get 91. - Summoning: Current method is camping Waterfiends at AC with maul, which has been relatively successful for me with one full charging of the chaotic lasting me from 76-84 banked. I've been making granite lobsters with the crims, and saving the blues for geyser titans. Should I keep doing this and then switch to CT fiends after 95? Also, what familiars should I be making? Cheers

Dungeonsweepers (DGS) - Huge changes; read first post.
You highlight a pretty important point, I think non-hexers should be encouraged to hunt dinos for hexers, especially if the non-hexer in question has a decent hunter level. Personally, at 70 hunter I find that in many floors I'm actually unable to hunt the majority of dinos (mega/tyranno). It only takes 3 slots (or a minum of one if you dont want to carry needle n thread) to do this and it'll greatly improve the dps of the team as well as potentially saving the keyer a death or two. Obviously hexers should still be hunting dinos but it would definitely help if another team member or two hunted as well. Doesn't making dino armour also require a fairly decent crafting level? brb buying 99 craft
