I may be the only one that agrees with you. When people quit and say things like "I've wasted all this time on some pixels" it is indirectly saying that the people that continue to play are "wasting" their lives, which I find to be somewhat insulting. Actually, quite a few people agree with me on this, but they're not on this board, they're my friends(yes, friends, sociopath, anyone?) from school. I showed them this post, and what a laugh they all got from it. Definitely wouldn't get the same response here for obvious reasons. Self-proclaimed intellect? Now you're just putting words in my mouth, I never said anything about self-proclaimed intellect. Is this board just inclined to complete disregard someone's point and somehow pull something else out of a smelly orifice just to annoy them?

Lost Guthan Helm, Spear, and Whip and Full Karils and Barrows thanks to some really bad luck. Recovered. Lost Full Ahrims and loads of deaths at barrows again, because internet died right at Dharoks. Recovered. And lost Verac Helm + Whip at Barrows, this time due to my incompetence: Playing in school to waste time while waiting for a friend to end his class -> Bad idea when sun is shining down on your screen and you can't see clearly. Not yet recovered, lost 3 days ago, and I haven't played since.

I never said anything about Runescape being the best possible use of spare time, I am saying it is one of many ways to use your spare time. My main problem is that everyone has started trivialising the game as some damn pixels. That is just akin to saying that every other damn game is a pixel. For example you're playing F.E.A.R, and you die, and you exclaim "Omfg, a stupid bunch of red pixels just killed me!" I'm sorry, how [developmentally delayed]ed is that. Calling me a moron doesn't have any effect btw. If anything, it's become cliche.

The reason they do that is for more people to go and subscribe to members. If you don't, then live with what they give you, because you're not doing what they want.

Would you prefer the word bits? Every computer game is an absolute and utter waste of time. That being said, so is watching TV, and most other hobbies that people have, so I'd rather waste my time playing computer games. I do, however, realize that each and every single one of my accomplishments in this digital realm is a combination of 0's and 1's, nothing more. Runescape the name is the only thing I've found original :wink: Except for you can have something in your bank for like 2 years and still eat to gain XP :uhh: The concept of Runescape in itself is original. It's not worth playing a minigame for having fun? If that's not one's main objective in this game, why play? It is worth playing that minigame for him, because it's perhaps fun for him?

as noted in the first post :wink: . However it does work both ways Barrows is listed as a minigame on Tip.it so i will count it . as you said your self the big monsters dont count, and really barrows brothers are some of the bigger monsters. plus, jagex never really said it was a minigame. i can see how it maybe considered that, and really it probably is but i dunno. Talking crap again? Me, I like both, Cw, and Barrows are my favourites.

Just remember that at higher levels, you also gain much more exp in a shorter amount of time than at lower levels. It took me slightly less than 3 months to get 40-70 thieving in RSC. Took me about the same time to get 70-83 in RSC. Then now I see people getting 85-99 thieving in about 2 weeks. Same with most other skills except a few. IN a year, I better have 99 fm, cook, fletch and thieving. Or else I'd be ashamed. :P

Those are nice-looking. I have a feeling that those are rendered in game. However, I think JAGeX purposely dumbed down the quality of the graphics to support everyone playing the game. Probably only Promotional shots.

I got a glory ammy, then promptly left, I was the one in full Verac. I don't fancy drop parties in RS2 much :(

I had that problem once, I was in an all boys school, and had trouble warming up to girls. Nowadays, I have more female friends than I do guys. :P It's actually not that bad once you warm up to talking to them. You'll start getting pretty comfortable around them once you talk to them once or twice. Just start a conversation with them, something which doesn't involve a yes or no answer. Maybe a discussion or something, it's pretty easy. Or if you're lucky, they can start the conversation with you. I had this memorable time, where a girl just came up to me and asked "Do you have a girlfriend?".
