Long cycle ride in the Chilterns Ridge followed by a few hours of maths. And for some reason I now can't sleep.

I put down: Italian (native language), English (since I moved to the motherland of English some years ago), Latin (fluency is going, but I the school I went to was big on classics and I was hopeless at ancient greek), French & Spanish (both learnt in my own time and easy because of similarities with Italian, fully fluent in Spanish and conversationally fluent in French, but unable to write it without looking utterly dyslexic). Just realised, if we're counting languages with minor ability, I can cope with the very basics of German and Russian - ie, where is the bus stop, where is the Kremlin, why are all these tanks in Red Square type stuff (what my dad calls tourist-level).

I'm referring to the cost of normal food which more often than not pays African children (and their families) sub-par wages compared to more expensive FairTrade products. The reason I assume that non-FairTrade still persist in paying low wages is that, to me, it seems illogical to pay them a fair wage and then keep it a secret.

Or that eating food that isn't exploiting African children is also more expensive.

That's quite some coincidence. If you think you should buy her something, then a card with either chocolates, wine or flowers is really all you can do without being oddly personal.

Please do tell if The Dictator is good. I'm erring as to whether or not to see it: Borat was absolutely amazing, Bruno was absolutely rubbish, so I'm waiting to see how this goes down before spending money on it.

Cool. You're very eloquent Crocefisso, do you do any type of writing in real life? I used to write for my local paper in my spare time last year, but I got bored of the tedium of the topics covered and gave it up. Other than fictions and poems I write in my spare time, I only write for the EP now. EDIT: Just saw Gabe's post. Very jealous.
