Last I heard, Vancouver is kinda hard to get a job and the cost of living is pretty high (especially for a decent place to live). It's got lots of really nice outdoorsy stuff though. It's pretty much America, just with less things to hate/rant about and colder weather depending on where you are. As someone who has lived on the prairies their whole life, don't come here. There is nothing to see. Also, watching Trailer Park Boys is mandatory. On the immigration though, I'm not certain, but I'd guess it would be hard to get in if you don't have a marketable skill/education. I could be wrong though. How old are you/what is your occupation/education? e: Also I heard that Alberta is pretty good for finding jobs depending on the skill and such, but if you're lucky you could get a good job on the oil sands and pull in 6 figures a year

Free speech. Hey, I heard something about a riot, anyone know anything about that? Or am I in the free speech thread?

I've never looked at it, but I'm going to guess that that thread isn't an accurate representation of TIF. Aren't you exaggerating a bit by assuming most on TIF are overweight and they are somehow lieing by saying they are not? :shades: I'm assuming that the majority of people who would feel comfortable posting their body pictures online would be people who are within a healthy weight range. In that sense, the people in the pictures thread would be quite different from the entire TIF user base and it would be a horrible reference

The season is 10 episodes, so yes, episode 10 is the finale. I hope we find something out about Jon, that's driving me crazy. And Bronn, we need more Bronn. Lots of Bronn and Tyrion paling around.

People on assistance pay into those programs (when they work) which they use when they are in need. Not spending their money on drugs isn't going to help them get an expensive education, an expensive house, or a decent job. As long as capitalism is around, there will be poor people, and there will be poor people who spend money on drugs to numb themselves from their reality. You want them not to take drugs? Set up programs to make education more accessible, put them in work programs where there is actually a chance of advancing to a decent wage, set up addictions programs, etc. You need to address the cause of the drug use. Who's going to pay for the drug tests anyway? Or is it going to be like Florida where the guy who pushes for it has a vested interest the company that administers the tests? Having to go on assistance isn't a choice for lazy people, it's a place you end up. Do you want to tell poor people what kind of food they can buy next? I don't want to offend, but this is the only way I can put it: Your posts seem to be a lot of bootstraps and them poors are using MY money for drugs!

Their intent was different as shown by that last sentence. The dude offered to pay them to perform attacks on competitors. I'm sure them trying to string him along had some impact on how he responded, but the fact that he even offered is why contacting the company is silly. These companies know their system are insecure, but they won't actually bother taking time to fix it until something like this happens. Although personally, I don't think I would release all the personal information on to torrents.
-
If they actually want to do it to help the companies, they'd keep it private: do the hacking and then contact the company saying, "Look what I did. Up your security." Reading the quote above, it really sounds like they're just doing it for fun, because they can, and to see how much they can get away with. Customers deserve to know if companies aren't taking the protection of their information seriously. Protecting that kind of information is very serious, and if a group of random people like Lulzsec or the people who hacked the PSN can do it so easily, then it's a good thing they did it before a more malicious group could do it. Also, in regards to contacting the companies privately:

To be fair, their hack of Sony Entertainment or whatever was to show how laughable their security was, hopefully more companies start taking security seriously and not doing [developmentally delayed]ed [cabbage] like keeping passwords in a plain text file.

Why is it illogical? It's my body, the government has no more right to legislate what drugs I put in it as they do what food I put in it. What's illogical is your next sentence. You seem to be implying that if I said "Drug testing should be mandatory to receive any form of government assistance past what the individual has personally paid in taxes." it would be okay. Considering nearly half the households in the USA aren't affected by the income tax, I suspect there are similar statistics for other countries which tend to have more progressive tax policies, and the personal income tax accounts for 45% of federal revenue I'd say it isn't much of a distinction. Ok, so first you said that poor people should have mandatory drug tests to get welfare, and now you are saying they shouldn't because it's their body? It's illogical because first you say that drugs should be legalized, but then you say people should have to take drug tests to get assistance, which makes no sense because you don't think drugs are that dangerous and drug testing when it's legal to get assistance is illogical. I don't get what you are trying to say, first you say X, then you say Y and denounce X? Clarification please. Oh, hahaha, I see, you think that people should be able to take drugs, except those lazy bums! So lets make policies aimed at criminalizing and hurting the poor so that they don't do drugs (instead of actually addressing problems like employment, education, equality, etc)! Bad idea. How would they even swing that? "Yes drugs are legal, no we don't think they are dangerous enough to be deemed illegal, yes people should be able to do to their bodies what they want. That is, of course, unless you are poor."
-
If you're eating and working out right, then yes, you may not see very much initial weight loss. If your goal is to get muscley and you are progressing in the gym, continue. If your goal is to lose weight, eat less, but that means you sacrifice adding muscle.
-
That would just criminalize/hurt the poor even more, and if you think all drugs should be legalized then it's just illogical. Also, when the people who require assistance are working, they are paying into welfare and such. That's why it's there.

Are you actually diagnosed by a doctor? If so that sucks. As to your question, ask you doctor/a sport medicine doctor, do not trust the internet. Also eating clean can be quite cheap, cheaper than eating dirty. Buy in bulk. People also tend to assume skinny = athletic. Although I'd imagine it's because most skinny people aren't anorexic skinny, while there are a lot of obese/morbidly obese people

If you're young you need to eat well and enough to help your body grow

Alright, so what if the gas fire she lit burned the bar down and killed/injured some innocent people? -
There'll be full info on it in the morning. Personally I'm already not getting MW3, I'm just interested on how they're going to justify this
