  1. Can anyone provide links to support the "ZMI Bank is bad" claim? Not saying it isn't true, but I'd like to see the math behind it.
  2. Tokkul in my opinion.
  3. you mean in multi combat? only if there are monsters nearby (afaik) No, its based on multicombat vs single combat. Go with Korasis + DDef and Claw specs.
  4. Slayer experience: mediocre/below average Profit: decent, can get lucky Charms: mediocre/bad Effigies: mediocre I factored Ugune seeds into my profit calculations. If you don't use juju farming pots/have an abundance of seeds (I got 99 hunter before Herblore Habitat was introduced, so I'm constantly low on Ugune.)
  5. Is Skills Neck to Crafting guild then banking at Castle Wars/Damonheim not the fastest method?
  6. I had a task of 198. I received just under 61k experience for the task and the task took 1 hour 40 minutes (~37k slayer experience per hour). Additionally, I received 26 blue charms in those 198 kills and slightly less crimson charms. I also received a whip vine drop (sold for just over 5m). The primary reason that I enjoyed the task, however, was that after I was done, I collected seeds and teleport bags from the offering stone and received 3 samaden and 3 ugune seeds, so in my opinion they're worth it. Slayer Experience: Above Average Profit: Excellent Charms: Mediocre Speed: Average
  7. Glad I didn't level it up yet. It's experience based, not time based, so the amount of experience you can gain is gated, and one would likely use up their ring quickly on summoning.
  8. Feel free to have it. The only useful thing from this update is the ring, and its yet to be seen if spending your time gathering resources would better be spent training the skill itself. Any extremely large t7 clan looking for someone who will gather and might chime in in chat, but ultimately just wants his weekly ring?
  9. of course the best inst' all of them, that being said you just saying every herb is equally good... wich isnt farm torstols Always use juju farming on herbs. Make every effort to use them on torstols or whatever the most expensive herb you can farm is, using boosts if need be, but it's always worth it to use them when herb farming. What a waste of time. Don't waste them on anything but torstol.
  10. Attempting to glean some usefulness from this update, are the seed drop rates (notably Ugune and Samaden) good/better than hunting draconics?
  11. Question, what is a sagaie? I must have missed it somewhere... According to the KB: "Sagaies are made using items gained from the Jadinko Lair. They are made by fletching fire-hardened vines (use a straight vine on a firepit in the Jadinko Lair) and then attaching mutated vines to the shafts. Sagaies do more damage the further you are away from your target. This comes at the sake of accuracy, but the damage they do more than makes up for it. Sagaies can be equipped with a shield to give you better defence. Note that, as sagaies contain no metal, they cannot be attracted by Ava's attractor. Also note that they do extra damage against mutated jadinko slayer creatures."
  12. Any info on what the charm droprate is?
  13. Air battlestaves are 3.5 gp/exp. I'd continue crafting them unless money is an issue. Construction is ~3 gp/exp using SC hammers, 6 gp/exp without. Smithing is 2gp/exp using gold ore, 3gp/exp using addy plates (I believe). Woodcutting ivy is 70-80k exp/hour, although teaks are faster, but require more input. If you ever have any desire to upgrade your cannon, you should do it while the ~1.5 million smithing exp is useful. Similarly, I'd advise you go ahead and finish Livid Farm. The exp is very nice and Remote Farming is ~400k extra gold per day. Don't forget to do your assists daily. The extra 30k exp adds up quickly.
  14. I knew I should have bought the Facepalm emote. Only lasting update of this year has been Troll Invasion x.x That said, Jagex has really missed the boat on incentivizing clans. While a few years ago, before the removal of the old Wild and free trade, clans had actual purpose, clans now don't have as much presence or meaning. Runescape is less an MMO and more a single player game that has other people (who are most often bots) in it. Edit: And yeah, I'm mad that people are being paid to sit around making more and more [cabbage]ty clan updates.
  15. I don't understand why people feel we should be penalized for leveling our combat stats.
  16. Some notes: Mountain Troll: Default melee troll Troll Ranger: Default troll ranger. Will occasionally pick up a large rock and hurl it. After ~2 seconds it will hit the spot where you were standing for large amounts of damage Troll Mage: Default troll mage. Can "telegrab" you, and spawn an aoe on the ground that resembles a tanglevine. No idea what standing in it does. Troll Summoner: Mediocre damage, but summons familiar(s) to aid it. No idea if it summons multiple familiars as it dies quickly Troll General: Low defense, very high damage. Melee Poorly Cooked Karambwan: Probably the most annoying troll. It is nonaggressive, but if you fight it whenever you cough, your stats will lower by 1. Recommend safespotting with ranged attacks Dynamite: Will attempt to explode on you for high damage Troll Father: Summons 3 Troll Grunts to aid him. You must kill the father first or he will heal the grunts. Cliff: Does a rock toss which is easily avoided. Can telegrab you like Troll Mages. Default attack is melee, will occasionally mage. Edit: Probably the most important thing that I forgot to mention is that if you attempt to go too far up Death Plateau you will receive a warning about the troll defenses and take LARGE amounts of damage. You'll need to LoS any trolls that spawn in this area. I received ~67k exp at level 92 after clearing 20 waves on easy.
  17. I'd like to add that if you ever plan on obtaining the spells from Livid Farm (i.e. if you ever want to get the Completionist Cape), you should do it while the experience matters to you. It's a substantial amount of magic and farming experience (although you're 99 magic already), as well as a chunk of crafting, construction, and agility experience. Of course, if you don't want the spells, this would probably be suboptimal.
  18. I'm quite a long way from considering working on the trimmed completionist cape, but I feel that the 5000 CW game requirement effectively ruins Castle Wars. Prior to this update, Castle Wars was the ONLY minigame that Jagex ever got right. All other minigames are played solely for the rewards then abandoned (FoG, Conquest, Stealing Creation, BA to a lesser extent) or forever abandoned (Trouble Brewing). Castle Wars was something that was a break from the grind and was actually enjoyable. The rewards were completely garbage, but that didn't stop the minigame from being fun. Requiring people to complete 5000 games of it makes it a part of the tedious grind of "completing" your account. That said, I do think that the requirement should be lessened, cut by somewhere from 50-80% (and the professional cape be dropped down to match); however, I'm far from even considering grinding CW games, so it doesn't have that large of an impact on me.
  19. It was a guaranteed content poll: Yes, the vet cape does look very white trash (flames?). I won't be wearing it, but I'll be hopeful that the 10 year cape looks good (or that the Cape of 7/8s has good stats).
  20. Please don't kill brawlers as they can block the shots from defilers and torchers (i.e) get 3 brawlers surrounding knight and your golden. Edit: To clarify, when someones standing around doing nothing, its possible that they're keeping the brawler to prevent the knight from taking excess damage from torchers and defilers. Generally, guarding the knight will yield the highest increase in wins since most people rush to the portals. Its important to note, there's a pattern in the way the shields are dropped. East, Southwest, Souitheast, West. East, West, Southwest, Southeast. Southeast, West, Southwest, East. Southeast, Southwest, West, East. West, Southeast, East, Southwest. West, East, Southeast, Southwest. The southern sections are generally the part that needs most heavily defended since there are 2 portals and only in one condition (the 4th) are they taken out quickly. In fact, most of the time they'll be up til the end. This makes it a good spot to nuke defilers down asap and to try to get an early brawler lure.
  21. I should have refined my question. I intended to cannon most of these tasks, but wasn't sure whether a crossbow would be effective or if I should just melee them. Also, I thought the fire giants in the chaos tunnels would be nicely chinnable, although I could be wrong.
  22. Having maxed my melee stats, I'd like to start slaying while training my ranged level; however, I wasn't sure what ranged equipment to use on each task. I have the following so far (some of it may be incorrect): Knives: Greater Demons Gargoyles Abyssal Demons Crossbow: Aberrant Spectres w/ Cannon Jungle Strykewyrms Desert Strykewyrms Kalphite w/ Cannon Chinchompas: Fire Giant Nechryael Melee: Waterfiends Dragons Mage: Ice Strykewyrms If any of this is incorrect, please let me know. I left out a few that I was unsure about and would like someone to inform me of: Unsure: Dust Devils (can I group enough together to chin, or should I just use an xbow) Dark Beasts Black Demons Blue Dragons Dagganoth Living Rock Creatures

    Leverls and idiots

Was trying to do some dungeons yesterday and I ran into a complete moron. Looks like all the pros are gone. As it turned out, we found the lever room. 1st time We went in and I started counting: 1, 2, 3 and I pulled the lever. I got shocked; it was mildly annoying, but I figure everyone has lag so I tried it a second time 2nd time 1, 2, 3 pulled. Shocked again x.x 3rd time This person said he'd count, he did it backwards from 3, which is weird, but I'm flexible. He went 3, 2, 1 and I pulled, and got shocked again. At this point I left the dungeon because I was dealing with someone entirely incompetent and would rather spend my time hunting penguins than dunging with this fool. Let me explain how the lever room works: Everyone gets by a lever and the keyer counts to 3 and you pull on 3. TL;DR Whats so difficult about "Pull on 3: 1, 2, 3?
  24. It isn't. You rarely have deaths from herbs. The amount that you do receive is easily made up for with scroll of life procs, and from what I hear remote farming makes herb deaths impossible.
  25. That's what Explorer's Ring 4 is for:)
