  1. They said there would be a button to wipe your beta account to lvl 1s (so 4 cmb) but it doesn't seem to be online yet. I should think for now they are hoping we will test high end gear then after we start to get bored they'll turn it on so we can test low end stuff properly.
  2. I saw that and assumed the same. But I can't figure out how to do it. If I wield a wand and an offhand sword/bow and set a spell to autocast I only mage. If I have a sword/crossbow and an offhand orb/book and set to autocast I only mage. If I have a wand + a book offhand and autocast I cast at 2x speed the same spell. If I don't autocast it either does melee with the wand (main hand) or doesn't mage at all (offhand). It seems to me like I'm missing a setting to choose what I should be doing with my primary and offhands. I swear we were supposed to be able to autocast 2 different spells. Or maybe it's because I only tried SoA and Surge spells which require two hands? I don't know. It frustrated me enough to stop using the beta. I don't think you can do it with mage, the vids did say 'mage works slightly differently' and you can put a spell on the ability bar to manually cast so I just assumed it was intentional that you cannot automatically hybrid with mage. Also deffo can't autocast two spells, it has been specified mage dual-wielding is 1 spell at double attack speed. Extra spells have to be done from action bar.
  3. However brews REALLY suck, they heal such a small each it's kinda stupid as you can't eat fast enough to heal before you get hit again. I think that pretty much sums up why it's not a problem. Higher level food heals more, duh. :ugeek: Yeah but that makes Sara brew near obsolete.... 1 brew spot is worth 2 rocktails but also need a sup restore so that makes it even. So unless u need more healing then restore. then brew > rocktail. Anywhere else rocktail wins. @ Fight Caves for example the whole inventory is now based on prolonging prayer =| as you cannot 1hko the 122 + 124 (22 + 45). This makes the caves much much longer... Seriously prayer = not an issue. I did it all the way to Jad without using any prayer or hiding to safespot stuff. 360s barely touched me, 90s did some damage but not enough to hugely worry about, 180s did hurt a bit if they got close but even so easy to avoid.

  5. Easy enough to find out if you are right for necro etc just open combat tab and it tells you what their weakness is. More ranged weaknesses make sense since mostly the weaknesses have been matched to the triangle and there are fair few mage creatures in DG which by default are mostly weak to range. " CSB wasn't removed though, or perhaps only on the surface. " It never was going to be removed inside DG because it serves a use, allowing you to bind an entire attack for mage in the ammo slot. It's being removed from over-world because its virtually useless, it was always more efficient to take shield or mage book or w/e and now it's deffo better to shield or 2h or dual wield.
  6. I don't think fights are all that much longer, it's just adapting because range and mage are generally slower than melee in attack speed. But dual-wielding and well chosen abilities seem to speed things along nicely plus with things being re-positioned level wise gotta get used to it again. I mean when you consider nex is only lvl 220 or something it gives you an idea that a lvl 140 demon is kind of more high-end now.
  7. Fight caves is interesting. Jad has no weakness and can hit in the 4000's The 90s are weak to slash The 360s are weak to arrows. The rest are weak to water mage. I got all the way to jad on 1 brew, no prayer, no hide with ice barrage in virtus. 180s seem to the be the biggest hurt, followed by 90s. 360s barely touched me. 22s prayer effect is much weaker (only lost like 30 or so prayer total and that was with them hitting me for a bit sometimes). Did use the high lvl def healing ability a fair bit though. Asphyxiate seems to be god in there, like 8/10 times it will 1 hit (or near 1 hit) a 360 and 8/10 it'll take atleast 3/4 off 90s and 180s.
  8. Ring of vigour saves like 5% of adr bar when you use an ultimate, least thats wat jmods said.
  9. Nechs and Gano are multi already... I thought only 1 of the 3 gano areas was multi and last i checked slayer tower nechs aren't multi.
  10. The * key of the num pad is sheathing they said it in the bts like last week and its been said like 8 times already in this thread. Though it does seem impossible to do on laptops that lack a proper num pad. Target wise doesn't seem to be a way to view their data before hand other than maybe monster examine on lunar, the equipment stats screen does display offence stats of ur last couple of enemies though.
  11. wtf is an ice wolf? =S Also do not like this everywhere multi milarky, certainly expand multi but there's some places that multi is just down right bad idea even with al the best gear planning ever. Think brutal greens or mithrils piling you or ganodermic beasts heck even something simple like nechs could get hairy what with all the deathspawns and such.

Nope the 7 shops are the supplies of food runes etc. then armour and wep for each of the 3 cmb classes, probably because jewellery and capes have minimal impact overall and by and large jewellery isn't hard to get. Dag rings, fury, arcane stream all fall under jewlery. Dag rings are fairly cheap and acrane might be free, dg items r in the dg store for free.

  15. Tbh at this point entire thread should be considered spoilers, it'd be ridiculously messy and counter-productive to put alllllll spoilers in hide tags considering 90% of people on the thread will be here to find out details and info.
  16. Any reports in on how dg fairs in the beta? Assuming no new weapons added we'd still have 8 weaknesses in there (air earth water fire crush stab slash arrows) and with each weapon only being 1 style could make binds interesting.
  17. I cant figure out how to get it to go the other way :P Then again I crash whenever I try initiate combat xD The joys of beta * on num-pad should do it. Also I think grifaloo or gando is the mage equiv of bandos and arma.

To be expected there are thousands of players loading the servers (which have to basically load the entire game as if its ur first time playing) plus the extra load from saved data importing and there's only 9 beta worlds. Should calm down in next few hours once the american swarms got their loading done.I'm sorry but I disagree. I do not think it is lag from downloading, it's lag as the game isn't able to calculate what happens in the next tick, before it happens. The server doesn't have enough memory to handle it. I wonder if we may see servers being temporarily capped to 1000/500 people each or something similar. Hopefully it's just a slight oversight, a small memory leak which has added up over 2000 people, and not something more intrinsic to the update.Yes it doesn't have enough memory because the memory is being used by people loading it.We get the same thing (albeit on a lesser scale) with every normal update, the servers get a bit laggy, especially in the new area due to a combination of player volume and memory being eaten up by lots of people loading the new content.Jmods in lumby area are even confirming to people it is from the number trying to load it and that it will calm down once that initial demand eases. Why are there more people trying to download the beta than the regular game? I am fairly certain Jagex is lying about that being the reason. In RS terms, it is most reminiscent to me of that week of the endless server lags, which were nothing to do with people trying to downloading anything, it was that the game had simply over-reached itself. I fear this is what is happening now. There's not more trying to download the beta than the regular game there is however a lot more to load seeing as loading the beta loads an entire 2nd copy of the game so it's not like JUST loading a few new code pieces for the update its loading the entire game for ground 0. Plus the added server load of importing save data, plus the added server load of lumbridge being utterly swamped by like 98% of the world population. Also those prior lag issues did not effect everyone and was to do with obfuscation issues from the bot nuke which they worked to address as fast as they could and pretty much entirely fixed now. Nothing to do with over-reaching, more to do with the impossibility of predicting what a piece of code will do on the millions of hardware and software variants that the players have.
  19. Wow seriously? Rock and Gale spells don't have new animations. Sure ice can get away with it and bloodfire (though it could be tweaked to look a bit more firey) but seriously the shadow and smoke animations don;t even look like anything remotely rocky or gale-esque.

  21. All str bonus seems to of become critical hit. Also saps and leeches have been split there's now one for attack power and one for strength for melee, ranged and mage (plus a def one obv)

  25. Whoa, actual tanking abilities Lp restore constitution is not an ultimate it is a basic however it can only be used outside of combat and drains you adrenaline to convert it to lp. There is a defence ultimate that seems to basically do the same job but is an in-combat one.
