  1. But it would make no sense to pre-release them as that would require doing alllll the work to create stats for them that are balanced in the current system, why do all that extra work when they will all be readily available on release through basic skills. The way they spoke about filling out mage robes they kinda implied it'd all be craftable (wouldn't be surprised if we get a bunch of plants akin to dg to work with) 'completeing' melee sets with gloves and boots would primarily fall to smithing and a few probably fairly common monster drops. Shield bows and 2h cbows will be fletched and smithed with ease. etc.
  2. Look closely at the shortbow that the archer is using though. It's just different enough that I'm thinking we'll get the rest of the weapon update alongside it, especially considering other promotional material where crossbows looked different and the player character had fingers. Fingers were confirmed as part of player remodel tied to combat update (necessary for sheathing) The different looking crossbows are presumably the already confirmed 2h crossbows that offer more power at the sacrifice of a shield spot. It's safe to say all that kind of stuff is tied to the combat update and not anything coming imminently, after all we often see things in media shots months before they actually turn up in-game.
  3. But style-wise they look almost identical to the few overhead prayer symbols we have seen in the videos, plus I'd assume target indicator would rely on the standard (though possibly graphically tweaked) over-head arrow and mini-map arrow and I also doubt the target indicator would have any sort of combat class alignment which the two swords do (melee)
  4. It is obviously rebindable 1) you can reassign keys. 2) you can reassign slots. That's not what I meant. Rebindable as in bindable to mouse scroll wheel, alt/shift keys, etc. ^ 1) you can reassign keys. We don't know if you can bind them to combo (ctrl+a) keys, or the mouse wheel yet. Hence my original post. Derp. Yes we do know They said in the latest BTS video quite clearly you can reassigned action bar items to almost any SINGLE KEYBOARD key, including a-z 1-0 and some of the symbols. He wants them as combination keys like ctrl-q or alt-w, or assignable to the mouse scroll wheel (though that is already the camera). Shift for different bars is pretty okay for me at least. I am aware of what he wanted, my point was in the video they explained what we could do. And that was assign a SINGLE keyboard key of choice to each hotbar action, which directly rules out things like ctrl+q or w/e, not a single stroke and seeing how much depth they went into with and it and menu cleared said 'assign key' it also occludes mouse inputs. I mean for actual actions not switching the bars. Again I am aware of what you were saying, the point was shift+number already has a set action, so even if they did implement dual keys to hotbar actions it is unlikely the shift combos would become usable.
  5. They said in the video shift 1-5 is for swapping between action bars.

  7. Yeah others pretty much covered it all the reason you got told are bs and wrong, the real reason is good pathers can tell a crit door from none crit by the xp it gives, shared xp makes this harder to do.
  8. Those combat stances and prayer icons are all associated with the combat update, I should we've just reach the point where some/all of that is on the 'normal' test servers, especially for something like a PvP update as they'll need to make sure it works now and have a rebalance ready to go live with the combat update. It's kind of doubling their workload when they release QBD and stuff atm because alllll the old bosses etc. have obvious been gone through to rebalance, but any new combat gear and monsters have to be built both for the now and for the post-update.
  9. I get the impression ultimates will be bossing and questing tools whilst standard slyer etc you'll want to keep to thresholds so you can keep up damage.
  10. Love the adrenaline bar thing like how it gives you 15 seconds before it starts draining, enough time to grab drops and the mention that it will empty straight away in PvP so no power up on friend then ultimate ability people. Also loving how ultimates spend the bar but basic and threshold do not and that you need 50% for threshold and full for ultimate. Intrigued about how spec restore will be repurposed, is it going to be an adrenaline potion to fill the bar a bit? (Eg use ultimate at nex then sip once or twice to get bk to threshold) or boost max so ultimate leaves say 1/4 bar.
  11. Source? Whilst the first seems likely the later seems a bit random, surely the whole point is to test the ENTIRE combat system and that includes damage output from the rebalanced weapons and armours not just what the abilities do.
  12. At this rate we are going to have to make a tip.it party to go to runefest for the sole purpose of stalking mod osbourne... Part of my brain is joking, another part is not.
  13. It could easily be that jagex put out to an agency for the presenter and she happened to be an rs player and was like OMG ME WANTS can't imagine they in secret some how collected a random player to do it. Though I suppose she could've been a youtuber perhaps that lives local, I mean they do include that other guy (Who I find bloody annoying everytime it's like YOUR FACE DOES NOT NEED TO MOVE THAT MUCH and he's just stating the obvious of stuff thats already happened)
  14. I should think Vodka B is one of them for hire model-type presenters that you can hire for events on contractually for longer term things. I mean she does seem good at the presenting and when asking for QAs for this one they did say 'she will be in the office next week...' kinda suggests she's in one day every fortnight just to do the video. Wouldn't be surprised if she is used as a voice actor as well perhaps, but she obviously has the email for the purposes of runecast and by making it vodkab it seems more personal than an informal '[email protected]'
  15. Some nice lil tidbits this week I thought but I must say the main thing I took from this video is the more I see of him the more I find myself thinking Mod Osbourne is kinda attractive XD well that and growing wonder on how much Vodka got/gets teased for that name (assuming it is her real name)
  16. You want the marketplace forum not help & advice.
  17. Its Marble Vines (from igneous jadinkos, 74 hunt) and Ugunes, not curly. I knew that, typing failing! Guess I had curly on the brian from using it at start of that segment. But yeah my bad, I meant to write marble vine not curly for the last bit.
  18. Not from the runfest info. Runefest info was you have to invest time and money into the port to get ships and attract captains. These can then be sent on missions to unknown exotic islands to gather resources, some of which will be rare possibly untradable resources used to make new weapons and armours. Nothing shop-like to it, more of a hybrid between construction/poh and mtk.
  19. Or just general browser settings. Firefox have their own inbuilt sync lately, not sure how good it is though and Chrome does it as well (along with saved passwords and history etc.)
  20. Attracting them means planting the blossoms etc. to attract that species to the habitat. Involves no hunting, just farming and construction.
  21. Yes you have to get them yourself. The best way to get some quickly is to do curly roots til you have 2000 favour, then in the herblore habitat attract Carrion's and pay a stripey vine (camoflauged) to ward off commons, collecting option 3 from the offering table will then give all herb seeds. Then you just need curly vines to mix with the ugune.
  22. Basically: - There's going to be an update to the Exp gained in solo Dungeoneering at the end of the year. - Player owned Ports will be quite a big update and be aimed towards very high level players, introducing new gear above the current but not to 99. - A massive quest focused on some of the earliest characters in the game will be released in 2013. - More focus on the signature heroes. Owen and Ariane will both have quests released about them. They said Ozan not Owen Also they said Ariane = wizards guild rework Ozan = al-kharid rework
  23. I'd add to what Quyneax said if you are going to do anything in which Rigour and/or Augury will be very useful in the immediate future it can't hurt to buy them now opposed to a reward that you won;t use for a while. I mean sure in september-ish the combat update goes live (or is planned to subject to beta) and they are being moved to knight waves and tokens refunded, but you're getting the tokens back so it's not like you lose out by buying them now if you need them.
  24. I know, Jagex should just put all their development time and resources into constantly churning out skills regardless of how shit they are! /sarcasm Like this is totes true! If they were all smart like you suggest we could have like 99 hair brushing, 120 digging, 99 banking, 120 talking...[fifty meaningless skills later] annnd 99 sailing of course! [/sarcasm]
  25. Yeah people do toadflax, snaps and torst prominently because people buy those herbs a lot and as such people also sell the seeds more knowing they sell well due to herb farmers.
