  1. We aren't exactly taught King/Queen stuff enmass most of our history lessons in school focus on world events like WW2, WW1 or things like 'poor and the state' Of all like 80(?) odd english Monarch's the only ones I know anything about at all are: Elizabeth I - The one who imprisoned Mary Queen of Scots and more notably The Virgin Queen Elizabeth II - Current Queen George VI - Queen's dad, the last King Victoria I - Victorian age, just one of them things ya know. Charles I - The King deposed by Parliament in a civil war Henry V & Richard III - Better known shakespeare plays, but most would likely know nothing more than the name Henry VI, Henry IV, Richard II and King John - Also shakespeare plays but fewer would know them. Henry VIII - The 6 wives another one like liz I and Victoria thats just known. Obviously by the process of logic I'm aware there must be Henry I - III + VII, Richard I, George I - V but dunno jack about em.
  2. Oh right I get ya! I actually thought that myself Herblore Habitat and Runespan, amongst a couple of others, are not defined as minigames or d&ds by Jagex (hence lack of symbol in-game map for them) Runespan dev blog even categorically stated that it is a training method not a mini-game. They really ought to be under 'general guides' and have a small section in the appropriate skill guide that re-directs to the larger guide.
  3. i worked just about all of it out with some wikiped use on the names in the clues. though i still cant see anything to do with anything in the last part of the last clue. You say that like us Uk folks all have some intimate knowledge of all these kings and queens and didn't have to google them ourselves. Standard Uk King & Queen History at best only really includes Elizabeth I Elizabeth II George VI Mary I Victoria I Charles I Henry V Henry VI Henry VIII Richard III and a lot of that derives a lot from Shakespeare's plays.
  4. I'm bored of it because I've done it too much and kinda want to swap to something I can do, bugger off and leave for an hour or 2. Also I think it is paul's one I'm thinking off, I know it was not Grimy's one and it had bits to plug in juju, remote farm, scroll of life, tier of green fingers etc.
  5. Yeah that advice is pretty solid, if you follow all of that it ensures you have a secure password, secure recoveries, safe from keyloggers, haven't handed out password to 'friends' who might double cross you and if a fansite (eg tip.it) does get hacked they can't just plug in that pass and get in either.
  6. [hide] I believe it stems from Egbert being sort of the 'old form' of Robert For flour shortened friendslist = F L under royal oath = U R O Re-arrange to get the milled item known as Flour For Milk Mod Mat K without the mat gives us K Empress leads to Matilda take off 'mad mat' we get il so 'ilk' and it's a drink... milk I must admit they are all rather tenuous-obscure links that I only solved via reverse engineering the known answers, even with googling the relavent kings and queens it's hard to pinpoint some of them too closely. [/hide]
  7. Also 1) Do a spyware scan 2) Get an good AV 3) Avoid Dodgey sites 4) Don't share your password 5) Get a bank pin 6) Don't use same pass on ANYTHING else 7) Make good recoveries (aka not info easily found on forum profiles, fb etc) You now have like 0.00000000000001% chance of being hacked and IF it does happen they can only get to your non-banked items.
  8. It's far from useless, it is hands down one of them most useful auras going. The harvest boost alone makes a huge impact in long-term profitability of herb farming as it can equate to 1-2 more herbs per patch on average (subject to aura tier) which when you get to torstol farming is like 20-40k per patch more aka 100k-200k more per run which can easily make up to like 1mil+ more a day. Then when you factor in even the few cycles it protects from disease it makes a good impact on death rates, less cycles where it can get diseased = less odds of being diseased = few dead plots = more profit.
  9. It's over now in terms of new clues, presumably it will stay in-game for atleast another week though.
  10. When these armour things comes up it always reminds me of this screenshot I saw of some game or other it showed a specific armour set on men and on women and women underwear. Men it was massive hulking metal plates all over the shop. Women it was a very small bikini thing. Then to add insult to injury, women underwear form was like a knee-length nightgown type thing. So it was like waaat? underwear = more clothes coverage than full armour
  11. Hi Sy. I'm not sure if you have noticed, but the spoiler tags in there indicate which direction specifically to go, so I'm not exactly sure what do you mean by this. If I were to describe specifically what each direction equaled to in the unhidden context, it already spoils it for the reader who may want to solve that particular puzzle on their own. I did however, added a note that the directions will no longer be cardinal directions. I'll wait to see what the entrance pool yields. Thanks. :) I dunno wtf I was on about then, just took my noob over (finally) Level 50 constitution required for the entrance pool.
  12. I don't see the issue? Are you trying to say non-PVP ones are not minigames? Because that is incorrect, there are PVP-minigames, there are skill mini-games and there are those which are a mixture.
  13. Getting bored even afking Rocktails trying to make funds for smithing and I suck at pvm so thought I'd try swapping to torstol runs, even if only once a day or something. I recall someone having a spreadsheet thats good for working out profits and stuff, but couldn't find it.
  14. I read that too. I'm currently talking to Avalani now but not getting anything about the Cryptic Clue Fest. Perhaps I'm missing something? I have the Investigator's stuff from last year, if that matters? Avalani in the clan camp not Avalani in citadel and the item she gives out is the rock fragment that summons burning chickens and her robes. Odds are you already have them, if not perhaps Jagex hasn't put the code in-game yet.
  15. It's nothing to do with 'proving people wrong' for the sake of it I was just mentioned the fact that Al-Kharid does have its own story going on because I think that is a more likely source for a new quest rather than branching off into the Desert Pantheon which lorically have nothing to do with Al-Kharid so far. And yes in terms of bystander vs involvement it was a case of 'proving wrong' to an extent but it's not like ridiculing omg your wrong, it's just highlighting facts that may of been forgotten or overlooked that mean you have been involved directly with Pantheon stuff. I mean it's not even speculative/opinion could go either way stuff we have literally been face to face with 3 big members of the Pantheon and interacted with several lesser spirits related to them.
  16. [hide] The trouble is there is no logical reason for it to be an item at all. The prior clues all list the components required to make the final outcome. Egg + flour + milk (+cake tin) = Cake Needle + Thread + Hard leather = hardleather body But there is no third item needed to make ashes. logs + tinderbox = ashes Hatchet could perhaps be worked in but at 7 letters it doesn't fit. Which leaves sort of action words and descriptive terms for the fire which don't seem to quite work eg light, flame, burn, fire etc. About the only answer I can think that remotely fits would be 'ground' as you need ground space to light the fire, but that doesn't seem to bear any connections to the clue beyond it using the word 'ground' [/hide]
  17. I was thinking that but not sort of a purpose made agility course more an incidental chasing a thief/trying to get in somewhere type of thing, they did kind of hint when asked about kharid graphics around piercing note time they had the graphics schedule as part of another project (eg a quest) i believe they said. Would be nice seeing some more desert pantheon quests with a bit of Aladdin and the prince of thieves kind of theme (I wouldn't mind seeing something like Sands of Time stuff going on)... Preferably with lore that places us as an acting force like ROTM rather than just a bystander. Al-Kharid doesn't really touch Desert Pantheon lore. Al-Kharid has it's own long-standing story to be finished about what's happening with the Emir who has retreated from public view since Prince Ali was kidnapped leaving Chancellor Hassan in charge. And the fact the Emir and Ali are both in hiding still. Plus the whole tensions between AL-Kharid and the southern deserts. Also we are an acting force in Pantheon lore, we settled disputes with Elid, are in direct conflict with The Devourer aka Sumona, been helped by her brother, awaken that Queen who wants to help restore order to the desert, aided that monkey god by bringing the monkeys back to the land, helped broker peace with Scarabas peoples etc. We are hardly just an onlooker at this point!

  21. I got this far with the clues, reverse engineered [hide]Clue 1: We hear the prenom of Robert from 802 for this offspring. (3) EGG A shortened friendslist which is initially under royal oath ambiguously is milled. (5) FLOUR This drink is fit for a thousand Empress of England who is missing mad Mat, but has the K. (4) MILK CAKE Clue 2: Aethelred roughly lost his quick elemental shield in this stitch up. (6) NEEDLE (Not sure on the way round needle and thread go, both answers sort of make sense for both clues) Point north east as these eight kings take fifty east. (6) THREAD Particularly tough Aethelred without Edward about for this armour. (4,7) HARD, LEATHER HARDLEATHER BODY Clue 3: Fifty opulent Georges initially a bit wooden (3) LOG Like copper the 500th Queen fights with fists for this firemaker (9) TINDERBOX This great can't read about the start of our own royal ground (6) ??? ASHES [/hide]
  22. That sort of makes sense, but I can't see the logic behind [hide]egg.[/hide] ofspring leads to I got that, but is that not kind of ignoring the entirety of the rest of the clue?
  23. That sort of makes sense, but I can't see the logic behind [hide]egg.[/hide]
  24. I'd assume 3 items, 1 for each clue and no grid =/ so guessing words.
  25. Well I'm assuming they are crossword style clues so the number is how many letters in the answer.
