FireFox randomly freezing computer
If you have adblock plus active the site having adverts should not be an issue as adblock plus stops them from loading entirely. Also like every webpage has adverts, so it ought not be a factor in the matter. Tip.it, runescape etc. all have adverts afterall. The abode error allowing the page to load would suggest: 1) Your flash, shockwave or other adobe based plugin (pdf viewing and such) is in some way broken/corrupt. Try exploring turning them off and see if it helps. 2) There is a corrupt/badly coded flash applet on the page you are trying to view that via a memory leak or w/e is causing browser issues. 1 seems more likely since other seem to load this page fine and it's not limited to a single page.

how to make friends
Well. Well.?? I think his point is that 'discriminating' against people for being "horrible spellers" is rather an elitist view to take hence producing irony that you are being elitist when you profess a distaste for elitists. Also it ought to be "Well??" not "Well.??" The later is grammatically wrong, for someone who hates horrible spellers this seems like a rookie error. Also as people have said just talk to people, the same way you make friends in the real world.

GreenFingers not working???
It only stops disease while it is active, so only for the first twenty minutes. This is handy and does decrease odds of death for things with short cycles (eg herbs) but it does not eliminate death entirely. The main boon of greenfingers is the boost to yield while it is active as on herbs in particularly this adds to the profitability.

What's with the herb names?
This, among other things A lot of them come from foreign/non-official plant/nature names. We had snapdragons in our front garden for years. I believe toadflax is another name for frogspawn, vaguely recall that from somewhere. Guam is a country. They probably draw on latin and obscure mythology too, there's a lot of things like that in-game. Wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the herb names have some linguistic/cultural reference to the original potion they made either. Also Nechyrael draws on many real words like necromancy and necrosis and probably a bit of a draw on old school WoW games Necrolyte dark mage class stuff. And as mentioned all the Orges are pretty standardised Jorge, Skorge, Zorge, Morge for Jungle, Skeleton, Zombie and Marine Orge

The Evolution of Combat: BETA discussion
Did somebody already point this out? Will we be able to combine ankient with regular and lunar spellbooks? I think they just mean that they want to streamline combat so players don't have to keep flipping through interfaces. Yeah just because they want us to have spells on an action bar to get at the ones we want quick does not mean they are gonna suddenly drop the division of mage book activations. Something they have previously mentioned not doing as the 3 combined would be overpowered. It'll be kind like the Runic Staffs, you could have left a lunar spell (for example) on there when you swapped to ancients, but it won't let you cast it.

Answer [hide] 10 Body Runes Cabbage Cooked Meat Pizza Why: Meat Pizza Ballroom Food grease = greasy food, eg meat, cheese etc. Someone convulsing = Convulsing due to blood loss/poison Kitchen - Run through with a large object Lord Drakan had greasy food (meat pizza), Vampyre bit would cause convulsions. Escape via Kitchen carrying body (large object) Therefore Meat Pizza. 10 Body Runes Lounge Dragonkin fire Hall Scorch Marks + Ancient Stone Study Ancient Familiar Magic Heavy Object Struck Combine to suggest Dragonkin invovled and therefore Stone of Jas (the ancient stone and why its familar and what the heavy object is) So Lucien therefore 10 Body Runes. Cabbage Dining Room Blue gem = Sapphire = Nex Blue Phat = Wise Old Man Heavy Iron Instrument = Iron Pickaxe = Nomad Process of elimination, those three all in 1 room so Banker therefore Cabbage Tbh this last bit can be used to figure out all 3 items as by same logic WOM, Nex and Nomad are together therefore must be the other 3. [/hide] Yeah I totally just took all 6 and then reverse engineered it to work out the logic behind the answers.

Cryptic Clue Fest 2012
I'd assume so, no instructions as per usual, but that seems too easy, you could just take all 6 and they'd react and take the one they wanted.

Cryptic Clue Fest 2012
Day 4 is up: Mod Timbo had invited 6 of the most prominent figures in all of RuneScape to a garden party, giving them time to relax in the sun with Wizard Mind Bombs and a buffet of freshly caught seafood from the coast of Catherby. Unbeknown to each of Timbo's guests, it was a ruse in order to blackmail each of them into giving up their rare items without having to fight them first! Timbo had acquired secrets about each, they were: Nomad - What people think is Nomad is actually a scheming Dwarf called Honeydew inside a mechanical suit Nex - While she was young, she practiced the ways of Saradomin before converting to Zaros Lucien - Only stole the Stone of Jas to impress a lady and it all suddenly got out of hand but needed to continue impressing her Wise Old Man - Uses magic to convince everyone that he's old when he's actually only 24 years old Lord Drakan - Has hidden himself from public view due to him enjoying Twilight and being unable to face another since Bank Clark - Using his inner knowledge of the Bank of RuneScape system, he has been siphoning off cabbages to fuel his addiction to the delicious vegetable Aghast with this news, each of Timbo's guests were filled with anger and embarassment. Not wanting to cause a fuss at such a prestigious party, they each decided to not to give Timbo a present that they were planning on presenting at the end of the evening. Using their combat abilities would have been too easy but the denial of presents was something that they thought would definitely hit the right spot. The withheld presents were: Nomad - An Iron pickaxe, the exact pickaxe that dug all of the underneath of Soul Wars Nex - An Uncut sapphire, one of her favourite gemstones Lucien - 10 Body runes, Lucien always thought a Disruption Shield would be useful in dire needs but wanted to give them out to a good friend Wise Old Man - A Cowhide, a reminder of the 'good old days' of Gielinor Lord Drakan - A Meat pizza, not quite the diet of Vampyre lords but delicious nevertheless Bank Clark - A Cabbage, as part of his Cabbaholic Anonymous program he needs to handle them without eating one The party carried on, guests and Timbo alike drank Gnomish cocktails and continued to eat specialty Rabbit sandwiches from Burthorpe. That was until three blood-curdling screeches could be heard from inside of the mansion. "Murder!" the waiter cried, "Murder in Timbo Mansion!". It was true, three people had been killed and only the guests could be to blame! Timbo gathered everyone, staff and guests included, at the Garden Party area for an emergency meeting. "Friends and guests, we have a murderer loose amongst the house!" Gasps came from all present, an elderly maid fainted in the background. "I am afraid to admit that we do not know who or where these murders were committed. We're bringing in a crack team of investigators who will be able to solve this. Bring in... THE PLAYERS." Kitchen A simple kitchen fit for a mansion, pots and pans line the room as you enter in an orderly fashion aside from a couple that were presumably used for dinner (Three pans look out of place as if disturbed by someone rushing through the kitchen with a large object.). The main table island in the middle of the table lies strewn with cutlery, knives and chopping boards (Only the finest silverware at Timbo Mansion.) as if no-one had tidied since the last meal. (Cleaning is an XP waste.) Ballroom A jukebox sits in the corner of the Ballroom,(The jukebox appears to be stuck on the record Decode by Paramore) stuck on a disc trying to change. The room is massive and the dancing floor shines as it covers (Its not a normal shine that covers the dancefloor, it appears to be some sort of food grease.) the vast majority of the surface of the floor. There is nothing of note in the room or the floor save for the usual scuff marks from dancing. (Upon closer inspection, the scuff marks show a struggle that happened as if someone was convulsing.) Conservatory A quiet room of solitude, Timbo used this room as his place to play RuneScape. A PC sits in the corner (Its a pretty normal PC except it has really cool looking blue lights.) with a comfy leather office chair,(Mmmm leather.) the desk has a few assorted items such as empty soda cans. The rest of the room is sparse except for a table and a set of chairs. (Would be a great place to play a game of Cluedo!) Library A vast library sits at the heart of the mansion, three floors of bookcases strech as far as the eye can see. There are three wings of book types, a running record of all of the items left on the floor in RuneScape,(4gp, 16gp, Bones, Bones, Champions scroll imp, 36gp, Big bones) every thread that has ever fallen to page 51 (You flick through some thread titles: ***** *** ****** *****, NEW SKILL: SAILING!, mod timbo y r u so cool and need ccf help, clue 4) and the name of every player ever called a 'noob'.(You catch a loose page as it falls out: Zezima, Zezima, Zezima, Zezima, Zezima, Zezima, Zezima, Zezima, Zezima, Zezima, Zezima) Study As you enter the Study, you notice that it's an extremely dark and slightly dusty (A strange magic fills the room, an ancient, familiar magic that has been used millions of times that you can not quite pinpoint) room that hasn't seen much use. A grand mahogany writing desk (You find a splatter of blood. Yuck!) sits in the middle of the room, on the desk you notice what appears to be unfinished writing of some sort. (Day 68 - I cook and clean all day for that Bimbo but.. *the ink tails off into a small pool as if a heavy object dropped on the pen and its user*) Hall The grand hall of Timbo Mansion stands before with giant marble pillars and huge Gothic arches.(Upon closer inspection you notice that the top of one of the pillars an ancient stone has been forced there as if by magic) Dressers litter the edges of the hall (Whilst walking down the hall you notice that some of the dressers are damaged with scorch marks) with doors to various rooms, occasional hatstand and painting on the wall. (Each painting depicts a famous moment in RuneScape history, ungraciously the grandest painting in the hall is Timbo on his first day) Lounge A huge room opens up ahead of you, theee 4 person sofas sit in the middle of the room with a low-standing table. (If only there was a caffeine-rich drink invented that would heighten sense and increase awareness, this would be the perfect place to put it on) An elaborate crystal chandelier sits off the ceiling, slightly slanted (Looks as if someone weakened the chandelier and then replaced it at a slightly crooked angle) and the grand marble fireplace is roaring, heating the room.(This does not look like any normal fire! It looks like Dragonkin flames, now why would they be here?) Dining Room It would be more appropriate to call this a Dining Hall, a resplendent dining table runs through the room (Looks as if someone has left their Blue Partyhat here, seems a little careless of them!) like a wooden river able to sit up to 40 guests. It seems as if the laying of the table was disrupted, a pile of clean plates and napkins sits at the end (In amongst the plates you find a precious blue gemstone, I wonder why that was being laid out?). The head chair looks overly majestic,(Someone has been carving at the wooden chair with a heavy iron instrument, its magnificent work though) it seems as if Timbo is a bit pompous.

Combat rework - on video!
Firstly - They are NOT nuking specials out of existence they are removing them from specific weapons but all the ones players find useful are being reincarnated as abilities. One they specifically mentioned so far was Flurry being the current D claw spec and only being usable on smaller weapons. They also mentioned quests etc. being able to unlock these so presumably the EE ones will replace EE in seers tasks and Flurry will be a reward for WGS. Secondly - Thats because visually all they can show us without HUUUUUGGGE spoilers for these early videos is the new graphical stuff. There are several other things happening they have mentioned. 1) Combat formula changes so you can't hide your power (eg no more low level str pures) 2) All armour and weapon stats being redone with offensive boosts all on weps and def boosts on armour only - this also has mentions of triangle rebalance eg mage armour will have epic melee def, good mage def and appalling range def. They also vaguely referenced hybridding being tricky so it's possible armours will carry big negative attack bonuses for their off class eg. range armour having big negatives to crush, slash, stab attack so you can't run around in black d-hide to avoid mages but still have the melee offensive power in your whip or w/e to pwn easily. 3) All armours supplying LP boosts (like torva etc) to allow more damage output 4) Balance equipment at any given level so (for example) all dragon weapons have similar DPS via slow weps hitting harder etc. So that they are all viable choices for various purposes 5) 'Complete' armouring properly - They mention filling out the gaping holes in mage armour variety and giving melee world sets official gloves and boots (akin to dg) 6) Action bar will be able to have nearly anything assigned to it, including skilling stuff. So alongside these actions you can have food, potions, quick-prayers, weapon swaps, teles etc. And can make use of it in ways for skilling as well. 7) They've hinted to at least 3 or 4 'big features' they haven't detailed yet eg the elemental forms they have said are something cool to be explained later, they have said special attack and everything related to restoring it will be repurposed for something they haven't told us yet etc.

I have problems
In recent firefox stop and refresh merge into the address bar (but should still appear beside it when you go to edit/customise toolbars) At the right hand end of url box (but still within it) you should have an x to click when stuff is loading (stop) and the loopy arrow thing when stuff is not loading (refresh)

Cryptic Clue Fest 2012
But you didn't have to run around and look for anything, as long as you knew of item spawns and worked out where the black dots fell on the world map you can put 2 and 2 together.

I'm wondering what they are going to do with the next 2 days to keep up the UK theme. Cockney Rhyming slang, Sherlock 'Hulmes' Holmes and London Underground, wonder what could be next.

Cryptic Clue Fest 2012
I feel like the white dots all land on item spawns. Top right is somewhere between Sarim and Rimmington. Top left is somewhere south of the furnace in Al-Kharid Bottom Left should be a little NE of Champs guild near the mine. Edit: Should clarify I was going around the blue square not the outer ones.

Combat rework - on video!
All the stuff they have released has said you CAN still click and wait, but you get better dps and xp by using the dynamic moves etc. I should think the only places where click and wait might be impossible will be a few bosses, but even then probably only apply topost-update releases and not current ones.

BTS June
In the bts they put heavy emphasis on the fact you get ALL the loot from a kill. kinda implies there will be no item keeping on death at all.
