  1. [hide]The directions are not same as during quest [hide]The echos assume you are facing north [hide]Left = west, right = east, above = north, below = south[/hide] [/hide] [/hide]
  2. Sir Remony, Sir Rogate and Sir Rillic found too. So Ceremony, Surrogate and Cyrillic.
  3. Those can appear regardless of the bosses you fight. And the Dom Tower isn't good for citing precedent considering lore wise it is the tower putting a bunch of stuff it's accumulated from prior adventurer's etc over the years in to reward you and nothing to do with what you have killed. Especially as what you kill is not actually real, it's just an apparition of your memory. Better precedent source is Barrows, which does not drop any form of body/corpse part in the chest loot.
  4. The lowest level one's dropped 20 coral bolts for me on the 3rd of 5 kills. Tbf it does say next week they will drop stuff related to the QBD drops, so you're not entirely wrong just too soon.
  5. I'd assume 0 since Jagex specifically said it is a cosmetic item.
  6. Loving the new names on knights and corpses. Sir Rebrum - Cerebrum Sir Pent - Serpent Sir Rownd - Surround Sir Ruppee - No idea what this is meant to be, syrupy? Sir Loynst Ayke - Sirloin Steak Sir Rinch - Syringe?
  7. I strongly doubt we'll get any sort of bones, hides, teeth, claws, horns or any other corpse/body part from her. Why? Because the info we have specifically says we DO NOT kill her, we put her back to sleep in her lake thing and then get some of her treasure from the treasure room. If she's not dead and we can't even reach her body it'd be quite illogical for her to drop any sort of body part or bone.
  8. MEP2 will drive you crazy if you don't use a guide, but otherwise they're not bad no. Unless you like puzzles, in which case it is strongly recommended to take the hours required to solve the temple puzzle without a guide. I really regret using a guide, even though it saved me many hours of running and being attacked by annoying monsters. Nothing kills the feeling of immersion more than using a step-by-step guide when you are perfectly capable of doing the quest by yourself. Of course, this is only if you like puzzles and want to give it a try, and if you try and get stuck for more than 15 minutes, there's nothing wrong with looking up the solution to that step. Imo, the end does not justify the means, especially since if you are already going to do Legacy of Seergaze, you will be able to do Branches of Darkmeyer soon after, and killing vyrelords with a maxed blisterwood polearm will give you more death runes per hour in drops than you will get crafting them through the abyss. Even if you enjoy puzzles it will drive you crazy if you do it entirely blind. It's the nature of the puzzle, the objectives are unclear (aside from opening the final door, but the steps needed to reach that are unclear and based on trial and error), how to complete certain factors are based on chance of whether of not you happened up certain fixed elements vital to solving the puzzle etc. Granted the interfaces have improved A LOT since initial release but it took me like 6 hours just to do the puzzle and drove me round the bend and I'm a bit of a puzzle guru (with a few exceptions).
  9. Wrong. It charges 2000 pts for every item equipped flat cost, not per item. Don't wear a full set and it costs less. 2000 is for the set.
  10. Well, depends on how Jagex came to that Number. If it was just "Our tester needed that to kill it" then yeah you're probably right. Tbf they have said that's the level they are recommending for the 'general player' and they are aware players are capable of some awesome feats and no doubt several will be able to do it at much lower stats. And their recommendations on this kinda thing do seem about right for the average player opposed to the good pvmers who are bound to find it easier.
  11. All of them. All free xp is good xp and there is a certain inevitability that one day that heap of rubbish quests you never did will be required for something super useful. If you get to quest cape status and stay there you know at most you are only ever 1 or 2 quests off the new awesome reward opposed to the people who end up ranting they hate quests and have to do 30 of them for the new reward.
  12. It's meant to be a points drain though. Hence why it ONLY recolours what you are wearing at that time and it charges per item not a flat cost.
  13. What even is this? I feel like you now owe me 1minute and 38 seconds of my life back for watching this nothingness.
  14. I doubt a timer that limits you like that because they have hyped her as a boss battle not as a D&D and it'd entirely defeat the purpose of creating a boss for PVMers who like to solo if she was restricted.
  15. I don't think forcing firemaking into melee combat to make it useful is wise. Burn-damage seems more fire-mage related than anything, but I will touch on this later. What I do think would make it useful is giving firemaking based cooking more benefits over ranges. Like make fires make roasted shark instead of cooked shark and make roasted fish heal 10% more, could also make firemaking tie into furnaces eg you can add logs to temporarily make the furnace better so say adding magic logs could have an effect for all present of 2% xp boost per log up to say 20% and could have the personal boon for faster smelting or lower coal consumption. Could also perhaps tie firemaking (along with thieving, agility and farming [off the top of my head]) into normal magic with each giving a boon to an element. So light-fingered thieves are better with air mage & weaken etc, fluid movements of agility improve water mage and maybe teleports (not sure how), the kinship with nature of farming could aid earth mage and binding spells and mastery of firemaking could aid fire mage and introduce a burn damage effect etc. Basically just things where firemaking knowledge is logically applicable are kinda numerous and could easily make the skill more useful.
  16. The guy in the video made me lol a bit cause he seems contradictory and fail at reading/logic. Eg early on he says when they went to jagex hq the guys were like yeah we know fight kiln vid did well we will be doing more, then at end he's like we kept bugging them and they are FINALLY listening. And the fire wave attack, quote obviously does not mean the spell it's a dragon it obviously means a literal wave of fire coming at you. And the passive damage reduction buff he assumes is tied to the shield, firstly the video said new loot including new dragon item AND the buff, clearly separate items plus paying attention to the text BTS in the quest segment it says 'Very high-level players will also appreciate the final reward: a passive damage-reduction buff, active during one of the most highly anticipated boss fights of all time' which then leads in the QBD. Nice idea but not very interesting for me because of such flaws in analysis as mentioned above and the fact I'm more than capable of coming to these conclusions myself whilst watching the trailer.
  17. Just curious as to what people would blame this issue on in my desktop. I am running 3 ssds, one of them had a hardware fault early on and got replaced by the makers. Now on seemingly random occasions (not very frequently) the system will hang in boot up and fail to detect the ssd with windows on it result in NTLDR missing error. A couple of restarts or jiggling the sata cables (but never the one actually joined to the windows drive) a bit inside the case makes it come back, but in the wrong place in the boot menu so obvious fix via BIOS and then runs fine again. It's done this to me like 3 times in the past 6 months. Just wondering if people would be more inclined to blame the mobo or the drive(s) as the source of the problem? I'm thinking it may be the mobo as on my old board I never had this issue and since having this new board I have had a couple of occasions when usb devices randomly dropped out and the graphics card has behaved erratically.
  18. With it on now playing and vertically oriented tap once on the album art and the time bar, shuffle, repeat etc will appear.
  19. Why must you relate this to SOF? You shouldn't even be doing that because you are one sole voice against a change no one else has even experienced and seen put into effect. SOF was something we all got to see and experience because we got to see how it was gambling and offering free shots to win items players would otherwise be unable to obtain. I can't stand how people see an upcoming update and cry foul before the mechanics of the update are even experienced. You can run with the idea that jagex tends to over-hype and deliver watered down concepts, but don't relate it to such an atrocity as SOF. On another note it would be better off to see things from the p2p perspective first because there are so many more going into combat that I would assume they'll want to incorporate into their combat rework and balancing such as weapons, specials, special effects, foods, familiars, p2p pking, dueling, minigame compatibilities. He wasn't relating it to the SOF or bashing the update, he was relating it to how Jagex won't listen to feedback (like SOF feedback) no matter how much people voice their opinions. Therefore the combat beta is really just going to be for bug testing more than anything else as very little will probably be changed in terms of balancing/updating things. Tbh I'd of been surprised if the beta test was for feedback beyond bug testing (in the more broad sense of not working right in general opposed to just glitches and breaks), the whole point of beta launches is bug-testing. Alpha launches are the ones they do when they want feedback because it's early enough to make large changes fairly easily.
  20. So I got super lucky: Had 5 spins (3 daily + 2 earned at runespan yesturday) got 5 double spins. Thoose ten spins yeiled all 3 hats, a mace and 6 monkey barrells.
  21. The trouble with balancing f2p is it would create an imbalance in the grand scheme of things because the 3 combat types cap off equipment-wise at totally different levels. What really needs to happen is to add remove gears from f2p so they all cap off at the same level region.
  22. What does it say next to each of the codes? Like Access point name? Admin pass? WEP? WPA?
  23. As long as the password is left to it's default (which most are) it will be printed on a sticker on the back of the router itself. You just have to copy it across when the ipod asks for it.
  24. There's a few things I could see these being. 1) They mentioned mage armours gaining auras to provide melee defence, maybe the aura appearance is defined by the spell you are casting. 2) The new specials etc. they mentioned 3) Ages ago they did an invent a spell contest thing on RSOF and the hands down winner was some kind of shielding spell with special effects(this could play into 2 of course) so perhaps alongside the rework we will get 4+ new shielding spells for mages. Either way I hope that we get smoke, shadow, blood and ice versions of these as well to match ancients (and possibly though more of a stretch miasmic and some sort of lunar one)
