  1. Worth highlighting that Crapier means Chaotic Rapier (and is more often referred to as just rapier opposed to crapier) and that is is obtained via dungeoneering; also it requires lvl 80 attack to use.
  2. ^ They are not re-making the skills, so prayer won't suddenly be changing from what it is now, they are only changing how the actual combat mechanics work and how equipment stats are spread whilst introducing a few new special abilities/moves learnt at specific levels in the combat stats.
  3. Fastest points:hr to my knowledge is camping the 2 soul wraith isle exclusively and ignoring nodes.
  4. AVG is one of the best but tbh Windows Security Essentials also rates up there as one of the best (shocking I know, but microsoft did a good job with it). In terms of free options security essentials is number one, in terms of free and paid options it is still up there in the top 5. If you need to protect three systems and are worried about price Security Essentials is gonna be the best choice.
  5. It's roughly 10k xp per 1% You can do the math on ingots required from there based on what task you are doing.
  6. Actually it's in single combat it can hit 50-150% of max hit in multi, when it chains it can hit 0-150% which is why it is (generally) much worse in multi than in solo.
  7. Fail rates do not seem to have link in the sense you are getting at. All creatures seem to share a similar fail rate according to how many levels beyond them you are. (eg at lvl 90 soul wraith fail rate is about the same as blood wraith fail rate at lvl 77) The same can be said of nodes. As for formula tbh people don't generally make formulas for such things because they have many variables. Overtime people just accumulate data and use that data to state xp/hr rates and/or guide makers state how much xp/hr they got via the method shown and people use that value.
  8. Should be marked in red on the mini-map (like all doors) and have a right-click push option. Though I believe you may have to investigate it first via right-click to figure out you can push it. It's on the very edge of the north facing wall of the room as seen on this map: http://open.tip.it/pages/view/members_dungeon.htm
  9. This is the logic I was thinking makes the most sense. Afterall while there was an RS2 Beta test it wasn't really an update beta it was literally a new game written from the ground up that happened (intentionally of course) to include the majority of the gameplay features of RSC
  10. Tip.it Web crew are probably now being like "ah feck" whilst scrambling to organise to make sure someone in the crew owns every single weapon and armour by release day so that when this arrives they can fairly swiftly swap in all the new stat data. Before off on to the mass of monster research that may very well be needed.
  11. To the best of my knowledge that info is not included in each item as it is covered as a general concept here: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?page=beginners_guide.htm#wilderness "It is also worthy to note that you cannot teleport out of the wilderness after Level 20. (Level 30 on member worlds with certain jewellery teleport items: enchanted dragonstone jewellery and the Ring of Life. See the Getting Around Guide.) After that, you can only use the teleports that are part of the wilderness (portals and levers)."
  12. Based on the 1 previous beta test they did (RS2) I'm gonna guess there's a 12/10 chance of it being members only, especially since 90% of the combat mechanics, gear and bosses that matter are, and will remain, members features. RS2 beta was free to play for the last few days. Really? Cause my account was created on RSC and I didn't get members until after RS2 launch and I don't recall being allowed on the Beta at all. @Washac It doesn't matter what you have or have not read, they are keeping details quiet (like with the first bot nuke) so bot devs don't get a head start on work arounds. The fact, however, remains unchanged that they ARE working hard on it. Also that info seems wrong, in the Engine team QA like a fortnight ago they said optimus was 'weeks rather than months' away, so most take this to mean we should be seeing it go live sometime in June or July.
  13. Yeah cause the big up-coming optimus botnuke 2.0 that they have been working hard on is not at all working on the bot issue...

  15. Guessing/hoping it'll be a beta-server where you get a blank jmod style account on which you can pick any stats and any gear.
  16. Because its nice when things look good too, besides it says a lot about the update that for the most part people's only negative comment is that they didn't give us a graphical representation of the bonfire that differs from the fire. It's not so much people are concerned about it, more it's the one thing they can find to say 'y'know it woulda been better if...' about.
  17. Yes points are added when you siphon a rune because points ARE based on the runes you have on you. If you buy the rune starter pack you will get points for them. If you jump between islands or pay the wizard you lose points for them. The claim you are trying to make is factually WRONG. Points are per rune and are both lost and gained subject to the runes in your inventory, you can drop/destroy a rune pile and watch your score plummet. It's not successfully siphoning that awards the points it is the rune being in your possession, use it and the points go with it. Easiest example is you lose 30 points when giving a wizard 10 blood runes because blood runes are worth 3 points each.
  18. I'm not normally one to complain about others' grammar, but this post was very hard to read and it took me a while to get what you were trying to say :| . It really wasn't very hard to understand what he was saying. Glad someone said that I was rather stumped on what was apparently wrong grammatically because aside from perhaps being slightly on the long-side for a single sentence there is nothing grammatically incorrect. Also not an illogical generalisation at all to make on the Thzaar point, if the major selling point of one species is that they are entirely original (a selling point which is omitted from everything else) it is a relatively logical assumption that the other races all have external sources that inspired them; which is not even hard to assume seeing how basically every monster in rs can be quite easily linked to another fantasy or rl creature.
  19. Would make sense if inventory points score did not fall when you 'spent' runes travelling, chipping or at wizard. Plus if you buy the rune-pack to get started inventory points goes up. Plus there'd be no logical reason to have inventory points that get traded in if they could not fall as well as rise.
  20. Blatantly untrue. Non-Runespan runecrafting is running back and forth doing the same action repeatedly. Runespan asks you to search around and cooperate with others to get the best xp. But not searching around and not cooperating with others is still the best rc exp in comparison to non-runespan training methods. Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame: If you consider playing xbox while afking Runecrafting as 'making the game more fun', I'll concede the point. It is your choice to be a boring afker you COULD chose to make your gaming experience more fun by remaining at the game being generally sociable with randomers, friends and clan mates. I am sociable with randomers, I get in quite a few arguments every day. But really, Runespan is less monotonous than traditional Runecrafting methods, I admit, but it's not what I would call fun. But no-one said it HAD to qualify as fun, just that it was MORE FUN than older methods; something can be more fun than something else without actually being fun. Eg having a tooth removed is more fun than being shot, but it certainly is not a fun experience.

  22. It would probably expedite matters if you actually defined which messenger service/program you are referring too, seeing as most if not all of them do have 'messenger' in the name and included specific version information as well.
  23. anti-dandruff shampoo.
  24. Uh, no, that's your imagination. They were a complete ripoff of some characters from an obscure 1982 film called The Dark Crystal. Basically in sumation: Fantasy monster designs end up repeating because there's only so much you can do that doesn't look sooooooo made-up people won't like it and as such every fantasy creature ever in every game, film, book etc. you can probably find at least 3 prior incarnations that are pretty close to identical.
  25. Haven't tried it but my guess would be no. Since dg the other skills aren't put there to be efficient training methods, they are put there for a purpose. Sure C2 fishing is amazing xp, but in jagex terms its not harming anyone cause fish are useful for the dungeon completion, but bonfires would waste logs that could be used for cooking, bows, arrows, staves or summoning (?)
