  1. If that's true then none of those "powerful" rewards are much good. 4 free Nex drops at most I guess? Way toi go Jagex! Take item people are excited about and in 1 swoop make it kinda meh
  2. Negative weight doesn't need to do anything, it's just there so we can see how much weight we've got to play with before we hit 1kg and thus start facing faster energy drain etc. Besides despite what some may say even with musicians weight reduction is important because sitting around at a musician is an xp waste and must tasks you do where you can run out of energy like that from being heavy are not near musicians.
  3. Fact you can get 4 of em = epic win for me. 3 darts for 3 jads. 1 dart for kiln boss. Wham bam thank you mam I'll has fire capes for my rack, for getting jad pet, for opening kiln AND a kiln cape. This is of course assuming I can survive to the boss of kiln, but from what I hear it's actually easier to survive that far than it is in fight caves due to an abundance of safe spots, but even if I cannot do this still get 3 fire capes which is fine by me seeing as I can get to jad no problem then through lag spike and bad luck I never beat jad. Literally one time I got to him and had no lag spike doorbell made me jump thus missing a prayer swap and getting koed.
  4. Yes but the torch IS part of the outfit, at least in my eyes so total weight of the outfit is -2kg. Full outfit to me is hat, top, legs, gloves, boots, ring & torch. To you it may be, but not to all. And the nice guy was just explaining that it can give -4kg which is pretty darn good to know for a f2pper, seeing as this is like the only weight reducing gear f2p has so will be EPICALLY useful to miners, fishers, woodcutters etc.
  5. 1 ore + 1 coal = 1 bar. 1 p ore + 1 coal = 1 p bar. This is why in minions (aka the wild card resource) bars and pbars exchange at 3 minions for 1 opposed to 1 for 1, because a bar costs 3 resource cap 1 to get the ore, 1 to get the coal, 1 to make the bar. Capping the plot, by which i assume you mean hitting the goal lock, is entirely subjective to what that is set at. If your clan set it at 5k bars and 1k p bars you'd need 5k ore, 1k p ore and 6k coal to successfully fill the goals, if your clan set it at 40k bars and 40k p bars you'd need 40k ore, 40k p ore and 80k coal. etc.
  6. That's my firecapes sorted. Needed/Wanted 3 for ages, in short term it'd be 1 to use, 1 for cape rack, 1 to open kiln. Long term the use cape will be for caperack completion ism once I get the fight kiln cape.
  7. It doesn't boost the cap, at least not by the amount on the ring. I think the boosted xp it gives doesn't count towards cap though. This seems to be correct. Ring seems to give like 10%-ish more xp and points but the extra xp isn't counted against cap. So you could earn 33k agilie xp with ring before you hit the 30k cap
  8. The xp caps for games, per day, without using rings seems to be: 30k agile 5k farm 4k mine 2k defence Wc appeared to be uncapped yesterday, I assume this may be fixed now. I did 39k on it b4 i got bored.
  9. runetracker and the like track your rank so you can see when it jumps up

This, Jmods from the graphics team even confirmed safe-mode uses more memory than the higher settings a while back. It's not a setting designed to be low-graphics fast it's a setting designed to render things in an entirely different more memory hogging way to escape from any major issues software/opengl/directx throw up.
  11. You should do a spyware/virus scan to find any issues and THEN change you password. Changing the password before scanning would mean any potential keylogger already has the new password. Having clicked a scam email phishing link there is a high chance you have a keylogger.
  12. All staves are 2h, that's why they brought in wand equivalents of most major staves
  13. Nobody knows? Payment method would be credit card btw. Simple answer: If you buy it before the 1st of August AND it does not expire until 1st October you will get the full rewards, For whether 2 months will suffice is another matter, on recurring payment a month = however many days current month has but on most other payments 1 month = 30 days. You'll just have to buy 2 months and see what date it says your membership expires on.
  14. I still wouldn't rule out it being a poll for some future content. Line of thought being loyalty = a say in updates = makes people who constantly moan about jagex not listening pay in order to get a say.
  15. To point 1, I don't see why that needs an edit. The guide tells you what you NEED to do to progress (kill the vampyres then kill gadderanks), it does not add anything (other than extra words) to explain you can attack gadderanks but it is pointless as you must kill the vampyres before he will die. Seeing as all this information concludes in is you must kill the vampyres and then attack gadderanks. Point 2 could certainly be expanded upon, but then there's not many silver weapons at this juncture since blisterwood, flail of invadis and staff of invadis are all unlocked later in the quest series. Silver bolts are rubbish, blessed hatchet isn't up to much, same goes for wolfbane, which just leaves silver sickle (b) and (subject to other quests) silverlight/darklight. So essentially I'm saying it should specifically suggest silverlight/darklight rather than 'any silver weapon' as thoose 2 are they only ones up to much other than the sickle at this stage of unlocks.
  16. Where is everyone getting this $45 thing from? that's the price jagex quoted in news feed Seems odd seeing as Jagex are English based to use $ over £ in there examples.. The vast majority of their customers are from the United States, and converting from USD to any other denomination is pretty commonplace. I don;t think we have any hard statistics to allow us to state as fact that the majority of customers are from x. Also currency commonplace is entirely subjective to where you are, for a UK based company it is commonplace to use GBP and convert from that to whatever denomination you might want. It is certainly not an international commonplace to use USD as some sort of 'master' currency everyone can convert from.
  17. Using them for healing would be like using herring for healing in the main game. They may not drain your action bar, but they also don't do much other than take up inventory space. Don't they still heal for 500 a dose? That means it's the best healing per slot in the game still. The new niche it fills is non-emergancy heals, things like in between mobs, or when you only are taking minimal damage that has started to add up over time. Think of them like Prayer Renewals now, far more efficient than restores, but not good if you need large bursts. But we have 2 abilities that can exchange adrenalin for healing which do much more and are perfectly suited to use between mobs when bossing or w/e, whilst for slayer there shouldn't really be an in between mobs unless you are doing like KBD for blk drags or dks for daggs
  18. This is good except you want to attract carrion not draconic for the favour point method. Why? Simply because Carrion are slightly cheaper/easier to attract (Draconic require hunter juju to be used carrion do not) and both are herb seed only jadinkos so both offer equally good herb seed turn out. Also if it is setup right you should only have Carrion and Common's attracted so you just need one Striped (not rainbow) vine to pay Papa Mambo to ward off the commons. Striped vines are gotten from camouflaged Jadinkos. This overall method is also good for stocking up the other juju herb seeds as well (eg Erzille for hunter juju for when you want to hunt draconics to 99)
  19. I personally find everyone going on about Jagex is useless as we get this instead of content for the summer completely foolish. Yes July has been a bit slack on content, but we do get the odd slack month and a lot has been getting done with EoC and as for the months this promotion applies too we have no idea what Jagex are doing content-wise, I mean atleast wait for august bts before writing things off as 'no content to keep us subscribed.' Don't get me wrong I agree with the kinda lame move in basically selling items etc. I just disagree with the line of the logic outlined above.
  20. Of course there's gang crime in the Uk and syndicates and all of that, on a proportionally smaller scale and more likely to result in stabbings/beatings than shootings (due to the fact guns are less readily available); but it is there none the less.
  21. That's what the news feed is for. Not a fan of soul wars, but it might be a bit more interesting in the beta than the main game. I've done a game of soul wars and no notification in game chat. Apparently somewhere on forums it's been confirmed by Jmod that soul wars does not give steam punk outfit piece. Doesn't state anywhere soul wars gives a part of steam punk outfit as far as I can tell. Duel Arean event was swapped out fro soulwars at the last min as they do not wanna do duel until they've dealt with some current issues and soulwars (like last weeks boss things) is not a beta outfit event.
  22. Wouldn't it be better to do that at a later date? You can't poison bound arrows. ^This But to go further I was under the impression it is best to c1 hunt the arrows just to get them THEN weave in doing c6 5:5 on w/e floor it is into your normal runs/as and when you cba to do arrow hunts to get them for poisoning. However one wonders if hunting them to poison bind is even worth it seeing as in EoC due in Sept poisoned weps are going byebye in favour of drinking poison to be able to inflicting poison for a limited period (Cause you know drinking poison is a MUCH more logical way to poison an enemy compared to having poison on an blad/point)
  23. As always I find America's gun laws far to liberal when it results in things like this. So many argue they have them as they make them safer or feel safer, but statistically countries with guns so available have far more gun crime AND a ridiculously large proportion of murder victims are killed with their own gun so it actually made them less safe. So there just seems to be no upside to it, especially when it is rather regularly compounded by events such as this where people abuse the availability and seem to go on shooting rampages just because. Certainly guns can be gotten illegally if more controls are in place, but even so it makes things like this far less common. Example being UK, whilst gun crime does occur any major incidents like this are few and far between (even when taking things proportionally to allow for the fact US has larger populace the Uk incidents are much rarer). But then how can you change something that is so cultural ingrained due to decades/centuries of it being that way, a factor which is just further compounded when you factor in the unfortunately large slice of american society who seem to be willingly ignorant of facts and instead just fanatically support whatever charismatic person happens to use buzz words that they relate too. Essentially its an unfixable situation really, whilst statistically more gun control is better to try and implement that to Us culture would probably cause more issues than it fixes. Especially seeing as it'd be hard to get guns out of circulation, it's one thing to have gun controls and therefore limited supply; it's a whole different ball park to bring gun control in and therefore still have a mass of guns out there (much of which would likely be stashed away illegally through wilful defiance or simply through older people not realising or lack of clarity on how to deal with the existing gun owners on local authorities part)
  24. How can you not remember the first RS2 demon model? Those guys were pretty lanky, then they got buffed up with that one rework with all dragons. I wouldn't say there were lanky, certainly not bulky but not lanky. And even though they were more slim-line they still had the same characteristics they do these days, not this serpentine-ish look
  25. My main issue with the demons is they are too much of a departure from the demons we have in their general form; I'd expect them to of gone more towards what the party demon and dg demon bosses look like, as that is the style rs demons have always sort of had. I think if they wanted to add in this more serpentine-ish slender form it should've been for a new demon and not over-writing the existing bulky wall of muscle lunging at you.
