The trouble is Jagex stance always has been: We design for players who do everything and do not cater to pures or accounts that limit themselves. No amount of discussing how much Jagex messed up your pure is going to change that, therefore it is equally frustrating to have genuine beta discussion plugged up with people whining about how their pure is ruined when the simple reality is you HAVE to get used it because the change is happening. Especially given everyone knows Jagex never officially supported pures so anyone with a pure should be fully aware they always played with the risk their account be entirely screwed over at any point by an update.

My only complaint on the new ability book is on lunar mage they put monster examine, stat spy and disruption shield in the combat spell tab, yet left all the others in the skill spell tab, even though several are clearly combat related spells eg: Cure Me Cure Other Cure Group Heal Other Heal Group Vengance Vengance Other Vengance Group Spiritualise Food

Probably to do with the copyright issues you mentioned here and previously made a thread about. The copyright issues alone make the videos kinda borderline problematic with laws, allowing you to profit from essentially stolen content would most definitely be illegal. In the same way you cannot clone a DVD you own and sell it because it's not yours to sell. Monetization is there not for every random kid who posts a montage but for the genuine people who have youtube careers due to their creation of unique content through reviews, vlogs and such like. eg DaveyWavey, Glozell, Jenna Marbles, The Normal Boots people (like PeanutButterGamer and JonTron), Nikkitabanana (John and nicki pranks), minute physics etc. To give an example in terms of views for this kind of true youtube career type. JennaMarbles newest video went up around 10 hours ago It has nearly 700,000 views. PeanutButterGamer who is a bit more low key, hits around 200,000 views in a month. Something like MinutePhysics that is still quite new is pushing 400,000 views on most older videos, with newer ones getting into 100,000-200,000 within a month.

Few issues with this: 1) Forum posts, articles and blogs by players of the game do not make for good citations, for one they are opinion based for another they are easily faked as mentioned above. 2) Whilst it is kind of blindly obvious to us players what has happened there is no factual proof that we have that links IVP's business model to these changes. 3) No matter how well you cite stuff the IVP employees are obviously going to fight for it's removal because it is negative publicity and kinda slanderous, the exact same way they made Jagex filter IVP on rsof so they won't have that bad press of all the negative threads popping up highly on google.

Since you appear to be in like the second room of the floor I'm gonna ask the really obvious: Have you actually opened the map yet? DGS doesn't capture from the mini-map (not presently anyway) you have to actually open the map interface.

They said they had this new data analysis like late last week, this week they've banned a bunch of thief bots with it. What more do you want? They can't magically view the data for thousands upon thousands of accounts and make the choice to ban them instantaneously, some human(s) have to look at the accounts this new method is flagging up and verify them. Besides they already said expect more to follow, give it a chance before you write it off.

Kind of disappointed. I enjoyed it but I expected something completely different. [hide=Not really spoiling anything, just what the book was actually about VS what I expected] This was a completely different story with different characters than the original three books. It just showed what the world was before the original book - I had really hoped it would show the characters' adventures and whatnot before the first book, but the main characters were hardly even mentioned. :| [/hide] Going into a prequel expecting to hear loooooads about existing main characters is never a good move. After all the nature of books means the adventures/stories of those people generally start as the first book does, so a later prequel has to go elsewhere; in the same way prologues very rarely feature the main characters.

Well to me personal experience of hits with ring vs hits without ring + what all fansites say ring does + the majority of players agreeing it works by adding +40 to every hit. I'm pretty certain it is true.

I have to say people always say they can see bots on the highscores but the trouble is that is not PROOF they are bots. You could quite easily be wrong about many of them, Jagex has to be pretty sure before the hand out bans. I mean how many times in-game people accuse you of being a bot cause you don't talk or w/e the highscores is no different, it's one thing being some player who knows the usual traits of a botter who got masses of xp and thinking someone fits the bill it's a whole different ball park actually having 100% tangible evidence to take action on it.

Hopefully this means I might actually get Black Ibis, or at least some of it, pre-99. Took them long enough to fix it; I mean how is it not blindingly obvious it's too rare/randomised when people can do in excess of 15m xp at pp without getting any pieces.

I mean the 3% skilling bonus seems good enough to me. It's one avatar per clan per world. So MiningGolds and Maxed could both have theirs out on world 2 say, the limit is that each clan can only have 1 out on any given world.

Totally agree! There should be a weak version of each buff and a strong version. Weak for individual mini-avatar, strong for the overall clan avatar. Heck even make it so that the buffs all start out cruddish and (as something for clans to do given many have run out of citadel stuff now) and we have to 'research' them using a mixture of resources and orts. Though mini-avatars would need some limits eg twice a day or w/e

I have to say reading the manual on what the buffs actually are it's like really? 1) There's like 6 of them, 6! What happened to the uber diverse something for everyone? Not even that of those 6, 4 are clearly predominantly combat related (take damage for you, periodic healing, double familar time, auto-resurect) and 1 is just like really? Auto org pick up; how about just don't get an avatar and leave the orgs on the floor? 2) The actually effects are kind piss-poor. I mean the heal one does very minor healing like so little you could take like tuna and heal more effectively. The resurrection one can only work 4 times a day, orly that's gonna turn the tide in a clan war when the first 4 noobs tht got slaughter respawn and then avatar is cuput. Damage taking? It only takes 'some' of it for you so probably like 1%. Double familar time? only within the raidus around the avatar and resets if you leave. Yay I can have double time titan at lrc with clan oh no wait i banked and it despawned cause I left area.

Elf kingdom isn't a good comparison, they are all agility obstacles with a spot to click to jump or step over them. Tarn's lair they are trigger tiles. As shown on the map specific tiles trigger traps, the in the case of wall traps it is the tile beside that wall.

Using prayer on the actual terror dogs is a terrible terrible idea anyway, the room they are in prayer drains super fast without even using it. Trying to keep prayers up you'd be wasting a shit ton of pots. Worth noting as well if this is the first time you are going through Tarn's Lair you will having to fight and kill Tarn before you can kill terror dogs.

Are you certain of that? I don't recall ever hitting less than 41 (maybe 40) in the dungeon with ring, barring cases when the monster has less than 41(40) lp and misses. Yeah and all the major fansites and main rs site lists it as giving +40 damage, not just increased max hit (though obviously it adds 40 onto your max hit as well.)

As already well covered it's not broken. Ring adds 40 to the damage you do. It's not some special booster that does some weird xp voodoo. It goes look you the combat formula decided you hit for 10 heres +40 so you hit 50. Combat system xp formula says oh look you hit 50, here is xp for 50 damage. Hitting 177-178 without ring = you hit 177-178. Hitting 177-178 with ring = you hit 137-138 and the ring added 40. Either way you hit 177-178 damage and got xp appropriate for that damage, so 95xp.

There is some acknowledgement the 'super faq' in the news forum for beta has been updated as recently as today and does address some of what they are working on if you can be assed to trawl through it. But yeah a weekl post with a more clear list of what is being worked on would be nice.

Dg has already changed some what, but it's on their to-do list and there's been tweaks already and talk of more binds and stuff to compensate for need for more weapons. And I added response to off-topic bit up above, to save spam.

1) Is fairly easy to do, you just need to get something like this: http://www.amazon.co...d/dp/B0011N9QNC Which will let you run the output from a VHS directly into your computer, from there you can use something like windows movie maker or w/e to capture video from the device set that going on capture then start the VHS playing and let it run through. Then you can obviousl trim any blank space off start and end and do w/e you like with it. 2) Should work fine, I mean if you feel a macbook they have a sort of grainy texture to their surface and you get heaps of decals for them that work just fine, in fact some texture probably helps things stick better as there'll be friction.
