  1. Theoretically it's doable, however once your pc is focused into the game window the game would take over mouse/keyboard input commands so likely would not work whilst in-game.
  2. Aren't most of the new robes in the beta craftable? As of right now: No From what Jagex has inferred/said: They will be when it goes live.
  3. Have a friend in the US, ship to them. Have them post it on to you.
  4. Finally finished Game of Thrones and loved it, diving into A Clash of Kings later today.
  5. I think a reasonable way to upgrade agility would be to add in far more kind of on the fly shortcuts and make them all offer more xp than shortcuts do atm. Eg make it so that at say level 10 you can use a stick to leap across rivers of x-width anywhere along them. Then say level 50 you can leap x-width with no stick and tackle y-width with a stick. All sorts of little interactions they would fill in like that, especially if they made it automated more so (akin to the border guards) Like let us climb/jump various fences and wall types at specific levels and make routing taking all available shortcuts into account. So like you'll use the grapples, tunnels, jumps etc. open to you automatically as it determines the fastest route.
  6. I've done at least 30 solo smalls looking for spear and got hope or dreadnaught (rarely) every time. Pretty sure it's bugged. That or it is rigged for beta purposes to help people get specific weapons. Or perhaps even purposefully has certain bosses turned off/reduced as they haven't been looked over properly yet.
  7. There isn't even any news saying we are due any sort of server maintainence so there should be nothing to worry about.
  8. I'm intrigued to how they will increase the binds. I could see it being done via restrictive binds, eg we get a 2nd ammo bind and maybe a couple of weapon only binds etc.
  9. An events forum you can only view if you are logged in AND one the people with full-time beta access. Anyways I have to agree its peoples own fault for missing it, certainly valid reasons have been wagered BUT all the same we have had an event every weekend, there's been a news post every weekend and we know that 4 of these weekends are to yield the outfit pieces. Certainly it may get shunted down the page or whatever but you should be fully aware thursday/friday a post about the event will appear in the recent news as it has every week thus far and as such should make the effort to look for it if you desire to earn the costume and it's not even like it's alot to look through as you can just skim headlines to find the one you want.
  10. I should think that maybe the scores are being some-how logged to give a final victor to the games. So like we get gold silver and bronze faction winners for each of the 4 events. Or it could just be a purely cosmetic thing to emulate the real olympics.
  11. Bit I found interesting was: 'We know very well that we want to bring the gods back into RuneScape, which we're doing at the moment, so what we do is bring them together into a big trigger quest, and that feeds into the next 15-20 quests. We have this package of determined updates, and things we're going to do over that period.' Sounds very much like they already have this big momentous quest planned out along with the 'package' of following updates, so may be sooner than we think. Would imagine Azzandra/Zaros thing is going to be a leading edge to the story; but having said that most stories are reaching that point. Elf climax probably needs Seren. Goblin story already saw Bandos making efforts to return. Monkey's is sort of leading to a Mambo (sp?) reveal. The Myreque (sort of) plus clan citadels and stuff is building up Armadyl lore with the Icyene and stuff. The whole Guthix Edicts Zamorak and Saradominist breaking the Salve thing implies a return there for Zammy and Sara The Desert quests has seen some of the pantehon around and is restoring more of them. And if that all happens Guthix is bound to wake up and be like WTF? Dragonkin awakening and the Stone of Jas use could also be stirring up godly energies. Daemonheim could be leading to a godly portal.
  12. I don't really have to go below mid for nests to get them to sell, so wouldn't that make 10 maple/5 coal the best still? Since we only really have to worry about it when we collect, not for future collection. The issue is even selling at mid nests are worth much less now, just take a gander a Grimy's daily profit sheet (https://docs.google....otNS0xUGc#gid=1) that has always been pretty spot on on returns % as it factors in average value of yielded secondary items based on how they spread (so nests and seeds are included for maples). We are not talking in theoretical future values, we are not talking in terms of just maple logs being low return. We are talking about here and now with current GE values the entire yield of maple workers: the logs, the seeds and the nests combined. And the cold hard fact is nests HAVE crashed and have done so far enough that maples are no longer the best choice. As of posting this maples have slumped to 267% return whilst coal is up at 307% return. So 10:5 coal:maple is the better setup right now. Certainly the margin is close enough that a very lucky above average seed yield (as in mostly palms/mages) might just about give a near equal return, but that's unlikely with how large the gap is now.
  13. Tripling is not enough. And 95 prayer is hardly a requirement. It's not at all useful for pathing, for example, where you take damage without dealing any (also means no food drops). As for the farming > pray/herb > mh cycle, it's the natural cycle in RS at the moment. You have to do something without cash to make cash, and the thing that requires the least cash to get up to an acceptable gp/hr happens to be farming (and MTK etc.). A game should never become linear, as that means the replayability of a game really goes down the drain. Clever game design doesn't make certain method best: instead a whole range of methods are equally good to beat the game. (and in RS getting xp is more or less beating the game). I don't see a way to accomplish that without making either everything free or everything exactly the same just giving xp in different skills. Players will naturally gravitate first towards the cheaper option, then to the less monotonous task. We're talking about a game where people will pass up an excellent method like monkey knife fighters for Pyramid Plunder because the xp is marginally better, or a bit less click intensive. Also, I've never found rpgs to be particularly non linear, even games like Elder Scrolls and Fallout which are lauded for being open ended and having massive replayability have their best weapon and armor tiers, best spells, best potions, best techniques...when the focus is on the destination and not the journey people will chose the shortest route. To me it's a non-issue the linear route comes from the meta-game aimed specifically at monster hunting; it's existence is inevitable. But there is nothing forcing you to play that way, take a cross section of stats from any number of random players and they certainly won't conform to some linear model where by farm leveling precedes herb/pray and not everyone is a monster hunter either so doesn't play to that end-game.
  14. Did you get the vials back from Chancy, Hops and Da Vinci in the pub near Guidor? Are you wearing priest robes? Are you sure he is telling you your missing an item and not just saying there is no plage/virus (which is what he is meant to tell you)? What does your in-game quest guide say you need to do?
  15. Or it might be outdated info. When I did kingdom wednesday maples and coal were pretty much equal pay-out it's only later half of this week the maples payout has fallen below coal.
  16. The only issue with that being if you do not do creatures at least semi-regularly it is very likely you will run out of ess. Running after nodes is definitely the best xp/hr but you don't lose out hugely by camping a wraith spot and grabbing the good nodes, especially as certain areas have a wealth of good nodes. Eg the 2 soul wraith island in a radius of like 1-2 island from that get loads of death+ nodes
  17. Been a while but few new macro shots I grabbed in the garden, nothing too amazing but it got me back into the swing of things. Pretty pleased with the bee since he kept moving so fast it was nigh impossible to get focus/exposure sorted out right so was a bit of a twiddle things and press the shutter lots job yet the wings in particular came out pretty decent focus wise etc. All higher res on DA as always http://sy-accursed.deviantart.com/ Any crit welcomed.
  18. I still struggle ad Jad. Tried the prayer switching dozens of times over the years and just can't get the hang of it. Tried Gano twice and I think I just had bad luck. Still no firecape for me. I find jad reasonably challenging but not too bad, my main issue is that like 20-30 seconds or so after the healers spawn (aka just as I get them all to come at me) I without fail get a slight lag spike which is just enough to allow Jad + healers combined to ko me or get me so close to ko that I then die from jad's next attack whilst trying to spam brews.
  19. Well no because that would be 1) unethical and 2) most big stores have a measure in place to keep check on stock levels such as Mystery Availability Count, a random search of stock on shelves (that also focuses on offers/sale items) carried out weekly or sometimes twice weekly by an outside auditor, that affects a companies yearly bonus , bad MAC scores can affect a bonus for the year as much as 1%. Plus intentionally under-stocking an item would have trading standards on your back fast after a few complaints because it is illegal to do things like that.
  20. In Uk this isn't the case. Yes it has to be sold at the price advertised, but if it goes out of stock and then the offer ends before stock is returned it does not have to be sold at that price because it is not longer advertised at this price. By all means if it was allowed to go out of stock on purpose it'd be illegal and I'm sure if you did come in on the last day or 2 and stock was out some stores at least would let you pay the offer price when delivery came in; but it's a statutory right.
  21. They slap that on the end of every future update post. Still a potential get out clause if the darts prove popular enough, similar to subject to availability clauses on sale items in shops. They try not to run out but if they do customer has no grounds for complaints. This clause on the end of posts just serves the same purpose or has the potential to, they say now items won't be sold in Solomon's store or put on SOF, but just wait til IVP get greedier or Solomon's store proves less of a profit maker than expected. Then I expect fully to see all 4 items for sale. I distrust Jagex ever since the whole no more free trade/wildy U-turn and removal of real life clause of RWT rule after SOF buyable spins were released. funny thing is that "subject to availability" is illegal in the EU: if you see it is sold out & they are planning to get the same item again later, you are in full rights to expect the reduction - given you were in the shop at the time of the sale. Only if they don't get that item anymore they are not obligated. Those clauses in a normal environment hold no meaning as the goal - obscuring information for customers - is against the honour code on advertisement. Well it's legal in the UK, or a lot of major companies are breaking the law. Could be legal in the UK; that's what you get for living in a country that weasels itself out of the EU for whatever reason they think is right... Obviously lying to your potential customers is a reason now? Seriously 2 years working at a food store and on more than 1 occasion we've had people insist that we sell them an offer for a product we were sold out on. Yet get irate when we ask so you want us to charge you for it and put some aside from the delivery due in the morn. Because 'that would be stupid' we just need to sell them the offer as advertised now because of course its not remotely stupid or illogical to insist we some how sell you a product we are sold out of. It's not lying its stating the obvious to appease the stupidity of the customer.
  22. I'm still picking my way through the Game of Thrones. Enjoying it but finding it a slow read + not really reading much in general past couple of weeks. Like 20% through (thank you kindle for telling me) just reached the point where Bran wakes up and Cersei has Lady killed since Nymeria is mia.
  23. Jad is still obviously the hardest part of the fight caves, and if people fail, they usually fail at jad. Also, what about quest bosses? Nomad, Pest Queen, Vanstrom? Allowing to use the darts on them would be the same as replacing them with a goblin. I can understand at least limiting its effect on quest bosses. But for jad I still think it's a lame move, of everyone I know with trouble on fight caves they either manage to die in the 180s or 360s (occasionally sooner) as they are useless OR they reach Jad and then get koed due to a lag spike, a lag spike that several people seem to suffer roughly when the healers spawn. So I really don;t see an issue with letting it work on jad, even if toned down from a 1 hit ko.
  24. But it's not exactly letting anybody do it its a one off item that you only get for 2 full months of membership AND you'd still have to reach jad or w/e in the first place to use it on them. It's not like every noob who can't beat fight caves can make it to jad, most who can't beat it can't get very far at all.
  25. We were only excited because of how broken it could have been. Not really. I was excited because it sounded like a one off super-powerful item that could FINALLY allow me to overcome my lag issues that keep me from beating fight caves. This extra caveat takes it from YAY a one-off uber item that can allow people, like myself, to overcome bosses we have been stuck on due to lag issues to oh woah we can 1 hit the normal piss-easy bosses that even with lag you can do most of. Heck even corp and nex can be done with some lag in a mass.
