How does grill work at all? Grill's don't have any relation to wood at all. You grill with electric appliance or charcoal barbeque. The grain explaination fits in tidily with how the other answers form and is frankly less of a stretch than others. like initially > initials Plus "make food" doesn't work with grill. You cook food on a grill but you don't food with it. Making implies mixing/forming something to cook. Aside from the fact all the clues seem to divide into two unrelated meanings. And direction of the wood is decided by the grain. direction = way. Wooden way. > wood direction > grain of the wood. And then the other half making food, grain makes food.

You don't get the rock in your inventory but you do have it. You just go to ava lady and she takes it.

cooked anchovies? Know fair few did that. Cooked anchovies = Anchovies Raw anchovies = Raw anchovies. Gone to Murky Mat NOT avalai(sp?) That bit was kinda epic misleading since original post said you bring items to me, yet day 2 and we bring items elsewhere.

Grain makes sense if u view it in light of how the other clues work. Way is another word for direction; eg you go that way/direction. The direction of wood is defined by the grain of the wood. Grain is used in making food Most other clues split in two like tht as well A miner necessity for transporting A mine cart for miners, a cart as a form of transport. A legal travel document legal links to law teleports are travel travel document teleport scroll Initially an internal document that helps. Initially > intials An Internal Document > A.I.D That helps, to help is to aid. A cradle's owner in start of a disaster A cradle's owner > A Cat's Cradle Start of a disaster > disaster = CATastrophe I hear a musical piece that has a ball I hear a musical piece > Canon is a type of musical composition. Has a ball > Cannonball > Cannon has one of them. etc. Fits perfectly when reading the clues in tht disjointed cryptic vein. As they all have a duel meaning, but don't REALLY make sense as a whole.

For the sake of ease and posterity putting answers together here: Across I1 (5 letters) - Grain Across A3 (4 letters) - Cart Across K8 (3 letters) - Law Across I10 (3 letters) - Urn Across A6 (3 letters) - Aid Across I3 (5 letters) - Rokuh Across C2 (4 letters) - Back Down K5 (7 letters) - Sailing Down G3 (5 letters) - Sword Down D1 (3 letters) - Cat Down E5 (6 letters) - Cannon Highlighted words from that: Down I1 - G-r-i- = Garlic Down C2 - Br--d = Bread Across C5 - --c-o---s > a-c-o-i-s = anchovies Number of grid reference gives number of item. Picture is obvious shows rune area of GE > Murky Mat is there > take items to him

thats makes sense if we put aid and get bread. I doubt cannon being E5 just cause canon sounds similar, cant even find google reference or anything tht links "canon" to music Ballad makes more sense. Especially given form of some other clues (the cat one)

18-Jul-2011 - Cryptic Clue Fest 3 - UPDATED WITH ALL ANSWERS
I think (at a guess again) c2 down might be brown and i1 down apron. Would fit with finding item. Just a wooden way of making food tht starts with A to make it fit

18-Jul-2011 - Cryptic Clue Fest 3 - UPDATED WITH ALL ANSWERS
I don;t think C2 down is bring anymore; because that long word is probably the item name and the only word tht fits letter wise begining with N tht is a f2p rs item is newspaper; which mucks up sword and sailing. I think e5 down is "ballad" A ballad is sung often so thats a musical pice. and BALLard it has a ball

I'm thinking the highlighted C2 down is "Bring" Across C2 (4 letters) - Forward is not how you wear this cape - if this is a really weird clue and wants "back" you get the b Across A3 (4 letters) - A miner necessity for transporting - cart for r Across A6 (3 letters) - Initially an internal document that helps - would need to end if g though And it can be sailing if the vessel is "urn" A vessel can be any sort of container. A bottle is a vessel of drink/liquid. A vial is a vessel for a potion. Demons posses human vessels. etc.

Wow today's clue is not nice. I may be being dense, but none of those clues particularly point to any obvious answer. Across I1 (5 letters) - A wooden way of making food - spoon/churn? Across A3 (4 letters) - A miner necessity for transporting - cart Across K8 (3 letters) - A legal travel document Across I10 (3 letters) - I hear you really have to work for this vessel - urn Across A6 (3 letters) - Initially an internal document that helps Across I3 (5 letters) - A stone who sells cold chocolate Across C2 (4 letters) - Forward is not how you wear this cape Down K5 (7 letters) - The skill that never was - sailing Down G3 (5 letters) - Rune, Dragon, God, all warriors need one - sword Down D1 (3 letters) - A cradle's owner in start of a disaster Down E5 (6 letters) - I hear a musical piece that has a ball as far as I got. I3 I guess is rok's (guy who sells choc ice)

MTK resources?
No. If you want herbs for herblore, for example, using nubmers yesturday Herbs 223% return vs 315% return on flax 11,500gp of herbs vs 15,750gp of flax 11,500gp would get u direct herby xp yes but it'd be a mashed up mixture of herbs that aren't really the best xp. 15,750gp of flax sold will buy you 15,750gp of the best herb xp going. Therefore flax and the better money is better herblore xp than getting the herbs.

From all I've heard Garmin and TomTom kinds share the top spot and sort of switch and swap with every new innovation. Though I hear Garmin's maps are better for USA While TomTom Europe maps are better

MTK resources?
Yeah it may be peanuts compared to your overall gp:hr earnings. But it's like 15 seconds, you can't get better gp:time ratio at all. Even merching & flipping takes longer to turn a profit. It's as the old British saying goes "Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves" (for anyone who really doesn't know our currency is made up of pounds and pence. 100 pence to a pound.) The logic being you look after the small amounts and before you know it you've accumulated a heck of a lot compared to people worrying all the time about the big amounts who over look the small opportunities. I've managed to invest like 15mil into prayer in the past 6 months just from mtk by keeping it of the best choices and thats with taking away a fair cut to fund other skills.

People killing runecrafters
altar tabs = quicker than abyss on all altars. Plus doing the GOP game earns you pretty nice xp anyway. Gives you the free ess and double xp for crafting within GOP so kinda makes up for time spent doing it especially when u then factor in time saved via tele tabs. Bout the only runes it doesn't work out better for is natures cause graahk is barely slower and far less effort to setup. Even if u go 50:50 gop u get 500 tokens per game at a bare minimum. 495 tokens for 11 blood tabs.
