  1. When lion osx comes out this month they are no longer having a proprietary java installed, though I hear the lion upgrade installer will install "proper" java automatically to minimise disruption in upgrade (cause then java will be there to update itself)
  2. But it doesn't help their cause, especially when everyone knows they're lying. It only makes them seem more incompetent and helpless than they already are when it comes to bots. They do it all the time and sometimes even more ridculously. Via webcite you cans till see the row game update faq where mod mark says they are collecting data on solo dg and its an issue they wanna look into the fact it was slow compared to group. Then like 2 months later in a QA he categorically said they never wanted solo dg to match group dg and had never had plans to tweak it at all.
  3. Why would a clan that has less members, is less active and is more casual deserve the same rewards as a clan which is a lot more active and "hardcore"? While there's nothing wrong with the former sort of clan it's a bit silly to suggest that they should advance at exactly the same rate as more serious clans. If you can't play as much you can't level your skills as much, if your clan can't play as much then you can't level your citadel as much. Fits in perfectly with the game currently. I never said anything about that; my gripe is with jagex's justification that the tiers are achieved for being better "organised" there's nothing more organised about having more active members. Seems like what you said to me (see bold). There's more organisation involved in a well run clan with 50 members than there is with a group of 10 friends who are just in a clan so they can talk and things rather than doing "serious" clan activities. Running a proper clan does require a lot of time and effort, something which a lot of "casual" clans lack. There's more organisation to run it well but even then its kinda capped if you can run it well with 10 members it doesn't take more organisation particularly to run it for 100. But even so I know clans with like 10 - 15 members that are FAR more organised than some clans with 60+ members. Size and organisation don't correlate

  5. I find jagex's stance ludicrous sometimes. On the clan thing: Is it REALLY gonna be difficult just to have more bots join your clan so each can do their small quota for the week just because you can't have 1 do it? Also why is a clan with more members logging on weekly any better organised? What about clans that are just casual and hang out when they feel like it and have many members who are adults and can't get on all the time; if their entire setup is casual why does it make them elss worthy of higher tiers just cause they can't get on as much.
  6. iirc Regicide is required to open up the Arandar pass and dense forest, although underground pass will let you get into isafdar you can't do much. If you do do the quest worth atleast starting mep1 as well to unlock lleyta
  7. Basement the historians give LECTURES on the animals, orlando smith by the stairs gives the quizzes. 2 kudos per quiz, 14 quizzes = 28 kudos Completing shattered heart for first time gives 10 kudos For the quest area bit you need to of taken Dagon hai history book and prophecy tablet to him to complete it and ghostly robes mini-quest is necessary. 100% safe to say you have not completed the quest cases and/or the artefacts on ground floor despite what you say. As taking you at you're word of not done the basement and guessing you missed shattered heart (a lot do) that would leave you at 145/183 kudos
  8. Nah they both take some time to charge ts why master is better. Its about 10 - 12 full wave 1 - 10 games to fill both horns.
  9. Ok so been googling around trying to find proof either way and the best I can find is this: http://www.webcitation.org/5yBlth0jm Cache of that row update game update faq. But even that seems a bit contradictory in itself; though I do admit it does suggest I am wrong in a least part and case-by-case may be more appropriate: Confirms it works on sigils and abyssal whip but not on visage, but also that any monster with a unique drop that it DOES affect you'll get the shine message every single kill. Still find the general lack of proof for this a bit odd though, I mean you can even trawl google images and see there's no images where the row shine message shows up along side the unique drops which even accounting for lootshare kills not using it and it being added to spam filter (iirc) seems rather odd. But meh its not that brilliant either way.
  10. Nope master horn definitely lasts longer; takes same amount of time to charge but it lasts longer. All the good fansites list it as such as well.
  11. Penance horn is one of them oddly under researched items, to recover whats already been said and add a bit more: 1m xp means 500k normal xp 500k from horn Master horn lasts longer than normal horn; figure you got told is a master horn figure. The xp output does share some link to level in the stat, but to my knowledge there's no clear data on the matter. It varies between skills as well: master horn agility 90+ is around 1mil xp master horn fm 90+ is around 3.5mil xp normal horn mining 90+ is around 1mil xp
  12. 2 is wrong. There are no case-by-case items. Row works on the rare drop table that's it for monster drops, doesn't touch unique drops. There's not a single citation out there that supports your claim; or if there is I certainly can't find it and I've done a fair bit around the Row past week or so. Kb even references visage etc as "very rare" drops to specifically say they are not on the rare drop table which row affects: http://www.runescape.com/kbase/guid/magic_non_combat_magic Key phrases highlighted as they clearly state 'very rare' items are NOT on the rare drop table and that the row works when you are on the rare drop table. It was a long established theory that row did not work on unique drops and the update to it with the extra clarification of how it works only further confirmed that. I've not seen any proof of row affecting these unique/very rare drops or anything on a "case-by-case" basis as you put it other than random people saying it does on forums with no tangible proof attached.
  13. Speak to Edmond again, iirc he'll be above ground again in the garden now.
  14. Yeah as explained in kb all monsters share the same "rare drop" table; just since row update it actually has some stuff on it that is of value in players eyes opposed to just crud like 500 coins or a diamond
  15. Sy_Accursed replied to Wkw's topic in Help and Advice
Yup lair you go through to fight the pest queen
  16. Any monster specific drop is a "unique drop" So most dragon items, visage, the d pl8 shards, sigils and the holy elixir (for spirit shield), armadyl armour, bandos armour, god sword bits, all the slayer drops (mystic, metal boots, whip, maul etc) Basically any drop that is specifically dropped by 1 monster and 1 monster only. In other words all the stuff players consider rare. And yeah row never has effected these and still doesn't
  17. It shines when the row has had an effect. Basically ignoring unique drops and 100% drops There is the drop table and rare drop table. Both of which act like a roulette wheel. If you land on the right slot on the drop table it sends you to the rare drop table (not all monsters have one but most too the old gems and half key are rare drop table so that gives you an idea) If you get on the rare drop table ring of wealth will shine and what it does is eliminate most (not all) of the empty slots. So tldr: Row shining means you were on the rare drop table opposed to the normal drop table. Monsters like wraith have virtually no drops on their own drop table so pretty much every kill you get sent to the rare drop table. As for barrows (and clues for that matter) when row was updated these were tweaked to count as "drops" and thus get effected by row. KB doesn't mentioned them separately because they are "drops"; proof being the row shining message appearing. (Not 100% sure on this but that's what I have gleamed in passing since row changes)
  18. Seems an appropriate place to mention it: Under redeeming your points: The quickest way there is to teleport to the Troll Invasion D&D with a games necklace or teleport to the Warrior's Guild with a combat bracelet and walk to the south. Slightly misleading. You walk south from the games neckllace tele point, but combat bracelet dumps you right outside the guild which pretty much right on xuan and does not require you to walk south. Would be better to word it: The quickest way there is to teleport to the Troll Invasion D&D with a games necklace and walk to the south. or teleport to the Warrior's Guild with a combat bracelet to arrive slightly west of Xuan. ps: I assume the guide images are gonna be updated when the sale ends, otherwise the ones with sale prices shown are gonna be epic confusing to newbs.
  19. Well since its UN supported that means the 192 member states recognise it and there's only a cluster of 10 or so officially recognised countries that aren't in the un. Both Koreas are members of the UN, neither views the other as a sovereign state. That's an entirely different and irrelevant issue. The UN supports the separation of the Sudan and creation of South Sudan therefore the UN officially recognises it and thus its members will (should) recognise the state. The Korean split wasn't UN supported so there's no reason the UN states have to recognise them separately in that sense; though they do (ignoring the obvious exception). And its entirely different in Sudan both recognise the split and approve of it (or at least tolerate it). Korea both claim the entire country as theirs. Aside from "nation splitting in two" they are entirely different circumstances and events.
  20. Yeah there's loads of weird quirks to country/state names. Like how Great Britain technically is only england scotland and wales while the United Kingdom includes northern ireland as well. And obviously nationality quirks too; like how a lot of americans (more so than europeans seemingly) don't seem to be able to grasp British and English aren't interchangeable and often annoy Scottish, Welsh and Irish brits by calling them English. And then obvious quirks where nationality can link to more than 1 nation like korean, sudanese and irish all link to two countires now.
  21. You mean the problem that reached a ceasefire last year and is currently in tentative situation of ongoing peace? A situation which this split will also largely resolve as southern sudan is primarily non-arab christian opposed to northern arab islamic and the whole darfur conflict was about non-arab sudanese being oppressed and this dividing of the state is kinda rolled on from the darfur thing amoung other issues. I thought that Darfur was in western Sudan, not the southern part? So the refugees will now all migrate to South Sudan for freedom? Depends where they put the borders; it is in the west but since when is west exclusive from north and south? It'll be somewhere close to the border if it is being split literally across the middle. What the refugees do isn't exactly a clean cut issue, they are only refugees because of the fighting in Darfur; one would assume the ongoing peace of the past year has massively reduced refugee numbers and those remaining are due to destroyed property; plus the refugees fall on both sides of the argument, they were just civilians in the way. One would assume some may migrate to north/south sudan dependant on the borders and their views.

  24. Its hard to say what the update will cause. Once the update is posted and we have acces via kb to the new whips stats etc it might cause a peak or a crash; all depends what the stats are like.
  25. Pretty much, though it does help with bork, barrows, pp, clue scrolls and stuff like tht now. But for monster fighting its still pretty meh.
