Barbarian assault
Unfortunately that rarely works these days as a marker in my experience. The outfit is relatively to of obtained longterm so a fair few noobs have it. And its surprising how many noobs have maxed out roles, with the possible exception of defender. In my experience there past month or so I have not had a single good player from the full penance crowd and the maxed types its been a bit 50:50 Plus BA bots throw a spanner in the work, they are brilliant 1 - 9; but all of them are pretty much useless on the queen. If they altered layout doesn't break them they end up not passing eggs and most of the bots I've seen (for definite) have been full penance and maxed at a role. BaAddicts is probably the best route or friends, but I don't have experience with them

LRC weapon
No. Just no. Please, please, please, don't say things without backing it up with evidence. Analysis of turmoil boosts show that LRC have negligible (or absolutely no) defence, so ANY style will be effective on them. And a Godsword is just SO woeful that even IF they had some sort of inherent weakness to crush, it STILL wouldn't be the right thing to use. You'd think by the number of threads that we see of this EXACT question that you would have learned to not give wrong advice by now. All the data I've seen, though admittedly mostly older studies, has shown while they have low defence they do have a weakness to crush and that below certain levels/gear crush results in higher DPS than you're standard fast weapons that don't have crush; bearing in mind of course most extensive studies are performed by maxed players which does occlude the factor of things balancing differently at lower stats from their outcomes. In personal experience a few levels back I certainly found crush on SS gave me better DPS than trying a whip or w/e did. As for BGS he said he had it, that's the only reason I said it'd suffice; its obviously not the best choice. As for other threads with this exact question, all the ones I've come across have recommended crush for people below certain stats (somewhere around the lows 90s iirc)

LRC weapon
I believe at you stats you should be using crush on them, if you got BGS that would be best option. I know at higher levels, however, the higher DPS from slash or stab on whip etc beats out crush, but I think you are just below that threshold.

MTK
No. Swapping resources before collect makes it give you them resources for the collection; but favour is taken daily. If you leave it for 3 days you'll get 100%, 99%, 98% (and maybe 97% depending when u collect) worth of resources regardless of getting favour up before hand or not.
-
MTK
I'd say for 3 weeks just leave it, atleast ull make some profit even if its not as good. just make sure you got ~3mil in coffers and 100% favour the day u leave.
-
MTK
It remains profitable down to something ~50% It is only really effect money maker down to ~90% thou

It does depend on when you membership started hence the (fixed no i believe) bug where people where subscribing via credit card and cancelling repeatedly and getting 500 credits each time. Plus as jagex covered in the QAs etc overtime peoples renew dates will shift depending on when they drop membership/reget it. Eg if you subscribe on 1st august for the first time your next points come 1st september. Only reason we allll have 28th july atm is because we all started the scheme on the 28th june

Windows 7 Hanging at Splash Screen
First things first can you clarify what exactly the problem is. You've done a great job of explaining everything but the actually problem. The title says "hanging at splash screen" but then you description skims over "fails to boot" So which is it? Is it just hanging at the splash screen or is it failing to boot? Hanging at the splash screen from a cold start is pretty obvious: It's running slower than usually cause its cold. Failing to boot certainly sounds like something is corrupted, but I wouldn't rule out hardware. It could be BIOS thats screwed or the mobo itself, or even possibly the harddisk or perhaps short circuiting RAM etc.

Jad
Its been several months that people have been reporting healers ALWAYS heal jad if they are near him regardless of focus.

Completionist Cape
goblin priests and Thalassus come under "all mini-quests" But sagas is deffo a new addition. I'd point out the guide fails in that it links to the activities mini-quest segment for mini-quests but this segment does not cover all the mini-quests; notabley the goblin one is missing and now thalassus repeats. It also lacks the 25 chimp ices mini-quest. Plus that link fails in that some listed there are not needed for base cape (balloon routes are only for trim as is chimp ices if that gets added) Would be good to get that section up-to-date and have what mini-quests are required clairfied

Jad
This is horribly outdated advice. for a long time now healers heal jad if they are within 3 sqs(?) of him regardless of their focus on attacking you.

Completely hacked.
5 times? LOL epic fail. Not getting hacked is the easiest thing in the world. Get a good pass, good recoveries and a decent AV and like magic 99% of hacking attempts failed.

Reverence Aura
My point was there pics with REVERANCE looking more than a sparkly ball And that equally the other auras look just a sparkly ball with no weapon

Shocking that an overworld item cannot be used in a place where no overworld items can be used and all their boosts are reset

Reverence Aura
Check the update thread there's loads of pics of how aura's look all detailed and patterned on weapons, maybe look the same on all weps but its certainly different from the plain glowing ball in your hand.

The sale isn't pointless in so much as: All items normally cost over 500 points. Month 1 reward is 500 points. If they started the scheme today and everyone got 500 points but cant by anything it'd be a bit of a meh event; nesides what did you expect to be able to by all the items in 1 go? They wanna keep us paying.

Same. You don't need to use an email (at least for the initial login, maybe they changed it recently). After logging in I was welcomed with a white page, so I used ReloadEvery (Firefox addon) to reload the page until it displayed the correct page. You need to have an email registered. Some people have either registered an email then left it for a year or so and it becomes unregistered (like moi), or they never registered one. You do need a an email registered because it's connected to your membership by the seems of things. Its bugged all round Some people without email registered not getting asked. Others with is registered getting asked. etc.

Reverence Aura
all the auras in use that I've seen look like that without a weapon equipped. They look more unique with a weapon equipped

Good thing on the outfits: Buying one enables you to get that outfit in all colours at will I went for the purpley outfit but its not the samuri, saxon or tribal one. and the agility aura as im gonna be agilitying soon; prob invest in the prayer aura next. Also aura grades seem valid, note jack of all trade has two red pips and obviously its gotta fill out. I wouldnt be surprised if these were "bronze" auras (sort of bronezy gold outline) and after we get up to 4 pip bronze we'll get 1 pip silvers etc.

Supreme Court rule video games as protected speech
No The game ratings aren't contradictory. They take account of the WHOLE package. What is contradictory is to say: Violent games can influence behaviour to be violent But then claim a game such as runescape which is violent does not count because it is not gorey. My argument is you are taking the issue with the gore, not with the violent act itself as such you wording contradicts the entire argument. You have no objection specifically to games that feature violent acts; you object to games that feature gorey violent acts. There is a fundamental difference there between what you ACTUALLY object too and what you SAY you object to. My point is simple: Violent games effecting behaviour is bs because many games feature violence without any high rating or big worry about their content. Gorey violent games effecting behaviour may hold some truth hence they are age restricted; but I doubt the extent of that influence is as some people try to make out. I totally agree that gore and violence often go hand in hand, but they are two separate things. You can have violence without gore as in runescape, super mario brother's etc but equally you can have gore without violence; surgery or a decomposing corpse can be classed as gorey but neither is violent.

You just proved my point exactly: Runescape is not gorey therefore you do not consider its violent content would have any impact. While a gorey violent game you are happy to preach that the violence will influence people. Not only are you contradicting yourself in saying violent games influence by applying it to one and not the other you are clearly highlighting it is NOT the violence you deem influential it is the GORE. I would still personally say its a crock, but it's far more realistic to claim depictions of gore being inflicted may influence people to be more prone to violent acts than it simply is to say violence does because violence exists in so many forms such as runescape's mild form. You can't claim runescape is any less violent than a 18+ game that has gore filled depictions of assaulting monsters with swords etc as its exactly the same act.

Runescape is a violent game. You seem to be measuring violence as gore and graphic content; this is two things separate to violence. Runescape is a violent game as a huge segment of the game is based around combat and killing; even WITHOUT gore these are still violent acts and must be seen as such.

Windows Scheduled Automated Login
Security. Not everyone has more people living with them, but things that usually need a password will still need them, UAC included if there are more than one user account. True but once its logged on a load of you're personal data is easily accessed and anything that still asks for a password is much easier to bypass using cmd and a few simple hacks. Plus there's the chance after an automated log on a virus can set in to work unnoticed if it was sent by a hacker who is aware of your automated log on. And if you computer did get stolen all they have to do is wait for it to log itself on then they have a much easier job of stripping personal data from it. And if there is only 1 user account that auto log on has just opened up absolutely everything. Just sounds like an epic security disaster imo.

Trouble with studies: You can make them show whatever you like by conditions applied etc. It's like rule 1 of statistics, you can make 1 set of data "prove" two exact opposite arguments. There's tons of very in-depth studies that show no link what-so-ever between violent games and being violent. In fact most studies show people who play such games are less violent as it gives them an outlet for irrational anger that doesn't involve hurting anybody/thing irl. Most decent studies that did show a correlation all relied on test subjects who were of a violent nature anyway: eg looking at people convicted of assault and noting them played GTA and therefore implying to the public that it was a causation. Thanks to an older brother I've played GTA games (all rated 18+) and watched many violent 18+ movies from the ages of like ~11 as has my other brother. He has a tendency to lash out and be a bit violent, I'm one of the least angry and violent people you could meet (as is my oldest brother who gave us the games etc). Nothing to do with the films or games, all three of us have had these personalities since we were born. Trying to blame violent games for violent behaviour is just sheer scapegoating; I can see it holding true in very small children (eg up to the age of around 4) as they do mimic what they see and hear, but older than that games aren't gonna twist their personality and tendancies. I think it's also dumb to read too much in to any correlations because in the younger generations (sort of mid 20s and down) you'd be hard pushed to find anybody who HASN'T played/watched violent video games or movies extensively. I mean nearly everything has violent content; runescape certainly does and many kids cartoons feature robbers and knocking people out and then there's all the games that aren't even 18+ that centre around shooting and fighting.

my bad then, sounds stupid still though; why bother with a pass if the system is gonna log itself on anyway?
