  1. Yeah I wouldn't expect strange token to relate to this quest. It's tied to the daemonheim story finale no doubt. Why is a Fog token in dg? Plus it is clearly a fog token, so why would we need specifically to smuggle it out just pop to fog? And all the journals are kinda outside anyway cause the tutor holds on to em.
  2. Well given around a year ago they made a big announcement about making an effort to finally end storylines and since then we've heard plans of how far the elf storylines and new quest. How far dwarf goes and 2(?) new quests, 2(?) new elemental workshop features. 1 or 2 new gnome quests, a new monkey quest and heaps of motm quests driving towards rotm for the mahjaratt finale. Oh and Zaros story arc showed up progression in a recent quest. etc. etc.
  3. I should think at the very best it'd equal them. But more likely it'll just act as a bridge weapon better than the lvl 70 stuff (whips etc.) but not as good as the chaotics The 'new' whip will have a higher requirement than chaotic weapons. You can be pretty sure it'll be better. Yeah cause its not like there's heaps of gear about where lower req stuff pwns higher req stuff in general use. eg godswords in general suck depsite being 75 attack compared to 70 for whip or many other equally useful weapons such as Korasi's, d scimmy, brackish blade etc that fall in at 60 etc. Aye but you have to consider that this lower req stuff is a lot newer than the older stuff. Godswords are very old and are thus outdated by newer weapons. Therefore it is difficult to actually compare a godsword to these new items. I mean... It's like comparing Graar to Nex or something along those lines. These newer weapons have become consistently better, and so how can you blame us for not expecting the trend to continue to this whip? Godswords are newer than whips...
  4. Zaryte bow is strongest bow in game... Zaryte bow and ccb are already pretty owange. runite cb and dark bow r pretty decent too. Staff of light and chaotic staff are also pretty epic.

  6. inb4 new vine and vined whip are untradable. People always wanted new top end gear that you have to work for not jsut buy, and of late jagex has done that, wouldnt be surprised at all if this is another untradable.
  7. Is it 2013 already! wow time flys! Kennith's Concerns was the last sea slug quest and was launched march 08; so only a little over 3 years ago. You could even argue that we had a sea slug quest of sorts last year cause they featured in the penguin quest briefly; but thats a bit of a stretch. Oh, I completely forgot about that one. I could only remember the most recent one with the Mother Mallum in it. Well at least if there was another since then there's an even higher chance of the next tier armour, and it has been almost 5 years since the proselyte set itself came out anyway, so it could do with an upgrade. It's possible but in older QAs jagex did imply the armour tiers are tied to the temple knight story line rather than the sea slugs, just so happens to two match up for now. But the bts suggests enough temple knight involvement to hopefully give us a new tier

  9. There's no guarantee there will be another one or that it will come at any specific time.
  10. We have seen, though. Support for clans? Removing PK worlds and returning the economy to what it should be, whilst keeping the grand exchange? (some may call this a downgrade, I don't give a dog about that opinion tho) They're pretty big, you can't disagree. Or, you can, but that makes you typical rs player. To be pedantic, "some" is on the scale of more than "few" and "couple". Of the top of my head I've got Nex, Return of Free Trade, and Clan Support, but nothing else this year really stands out. Especially from the last 3 months. To be a pedant "some" merely means more than 1. 2 apples is still some apples. But yeah top of my head wild+free trade would be 1, nex for 2, clan support for 3, the death mechanic changes is a possible fourth and the prayer ashes/skill urns for a 5th. 4th and 5th are kinda small in themselves but had big impact/implications to game play tactics and training methods so big in that way. Then jagex probably counts Livid farm, artisians workshop, the new capes as "big" too. So I'd say theres been atleast 3-5 big updates this year; but in jagex math probably 8ish

  12. I know what cold booting is, but it gets its name from the fact that system parts are room temperature/cold due to having not been on. Their being cold can cause lag time, and the colder they are the more lag it can cause, hence my example where the cold weather made the cold boot epically lag.
  13. There were two cryptic clue fests. They really are a fun activity. Edit: Actually, I should say they're fun when completed. Jagex has a habit of putting a complete moron in charge of writing the clues, and more often than not they've had to change the puzzles because they don't actually work, or don't lead to the answer Jagex wanted. Tbf first time the puzzles worked. 2nd time 3/5 clues were bugged until Mod Timbo(?) who did the original came back and fixed the noobs mistakes. Whatever mod it was said he'd be writing the clues personally from now on though.
  14. The vine whip sounds like a nice little update; quest sounds decent and citadels certainly sound nice.
  15. Hard and easy mode have exact same trolls. Hard is just grouped into 7 waves instead of 20. And that phrase is simple: The more waves you survive doing combat or the more time you survive doing the repairing etc gives more xp. If you die in wave 10 you have helped them less and get less xp.
  16. 58,592 sound about right? Thats what that equation gives using 86
  17. Wow failing on hard is HAAAARRRSSSSH Based on tht equaition for lvl 70 herblore I woulda got 38.8k Due to a mixture of lag, distractions irl, misclicks and a slight miscalculation on resource table (aka using all 5 doses thinking i was done with wave 6 when the 2nd batch of wave 6 was yet to spawn) I died on wave 7 with just cliff, some runts and poison dude left. 12k xp
  18. I'd say hard mode is giving at least a little bit more xp. Judging by the xp scale from prior posts (eg 57k at 85) 49k at 79 does seem a bit higher than easy would give. Not sure thou
  19. Random thought: Perhaps this is the true reason they were trialling the instanced world thing. Wouldnt be surprised if clan can meet up in their citadel across all worlds.
  20. sounds good; seems to essentially be a communal poh. Guessing settings will control who can build/remove elements/areas and then another level for who can build/remove furnishings and presumably all members can gather resources
  21. There has to be threshold in that though where the higher fish becomes better. Using your numbers once shark burn rate drops to 1 in 11 or less then sharks even with burns is making equal or better xp per inventory so would be better in spite of burnings
  22. Yeah I'd say run a RAM test and try sitting through the hang, see about how long it actually lasts (assuming it does eventually boot). Anything under ~2mins I'd just right up to natural lag from a cold start; I know at uni in winter when my room was like 5C in the morn my desktop took like 3 mins to boot up compared to the usual 15 seconds of so.
  23. Well higher complexity will up your xp primarily. That aside yeah skills are all members only so no added doors/rooms based on them skills (eg in p2p worlds u get some summon rooms etc.) but it will up your xp, as anything under c6 gets an xp penalty. I have a vague hunch higher complexity might also effect number of challenge rooms/monsters/monster levels but I'm not at all sure someone from DGS would probably know for sure.
  24. I'd say odds are its just booting slow from cold and you're being a little impatient. Roughly how long does it hang before you reset it?
  25. I think its best to start each fish asap. The burn rate shouldn't be too high so the extra xp should balance it out to at least equal the lower fish; at most I'd say go 2 or 3 levels past just to knock out the worst of the burn rate before you start. There's probably some study floating around on it if you google enough, not personally seen any though.
